In Russia nobody says about Stephen Hough. But such musicians who can combine such amazing emotional qualities with an ingenious sense of proportion we haven't. In my personal opinion, Mr. Hough is the best pianist of the 21st century, the play of which I have ever enjoyed. I apologise for my language, if I wrote something wrong.

I totally agree with your comment. He is a total artist. Not only pianist, he also is composer, author, and painter. Because of that, his sound quality is somewhat extraordinary. His performance of Rachmaninov's Raphsody on a Theme of Paganini was superb.

The piano sounded unusually clear to me so I looked it up and found it to be a new straight strung design. Considering I knew nothing about this innovation, and considering I was motivated to look into it just from its sound, I'm thinking there might be something good in it. I wonder how Stephen H found it to play.
