Join us Fam, as we react to Menace II Society. This movie made us so angry, and left us feeling grateful for the lives we get to lead. It's a movie about how your choices have consequences, and sometimes the choices you make can affect those closest to you. Enjoy Fam!

That's right he was in Speed. Also Speed 2 if memory serves, and Saw 2 now that I remember thanks to you!
Kane was cooking crack in the kitchen scene. The follow up movie from the same directors is Dead Presidents.

That makes sense as he was cutting it into cubes now that I think about it. The Hughes Brothers did Dead Presidents as well? I think that is one of the movies we are considering for later in the year, so thanks for the recommendation!
Keep up the good work guys love the reactions

Thank you very much, we most definitely will!
I’m from California and saw this in the theatre at 17 yrs old. I think most black people, especially in LA don’t exactly relate to this movie as much as they do Boys in the Hood. This is like that extreme hood experience that maybe only a small % of Blacks in LA experience, and it’s tragic and shocking to see.

I fully believe that, and it is indeed very sad that there are places in the world like this. Drugs, Gang violence, and other factors through out history have made some generational problems that we still can't shake to this day. I'm glad we saw it though. It's important to remember that life isn't all peaches and cream for everybody. Thanks for stopping by!

This is an extreme experience but I can relate even though I grew up in DC and not to this extreme but I still can relate

Idk. I know more Kaine’s and O Dogs and A Wax’s than Ricky’s and Tres tbh. It’s crazy to say only a small percentage of Blacks experienced this when 90’s LA was literal gangland
@blood9903

Quite the opposite. This film was literally made after Boyz N The Hood because it was seen as a fairytale version of reality. This is what south central was really like.

@@blood9903 exactly. I don’t know ANYONE like the characters in that movie. They’re all EXTREMELY fictional. But I know a bunch of O Dogs and A Waxes and Kaine and Shareef and Stacys. They’re EXTREMELY realistic, it’s scary.
Yall killed the ending observation of the film 🎥 🔥
When i was living in LA around 9th grade the police profiled me for being a gang Member and threatened to take me to a spanish hood that hates blacks smh.....i left L.A shortly after

So that actually happens? Wow, that's messed up. I'm glad you're ok and found a new life!
I have never been to the US, but this movie was one of my favorites back in the 90's 🙂

We all have our favorites from the 90's, and that is one of the more unique favorites I have heard from one who lives outside of the U.S. Nice choice!
Honestly, Kane wasn't wrong for beating up Ayleena's cousin. Sucks it was in front of his Grandparents home. But her Cousin came there to harm Kane. His body language said it all. Kane made a lot of mistakes, but he was in the right to defend himself against Ayleena cousin....

I believe he was there to hurt Kane too. It's such a strange thing that Auleena's cousin killed Kane, knowing that he's the Uncle of Kane's child. Imagine growing up with your Father's killer in your life. I don't know how I would handle that!
The Hood version of GoodFellas with the narration😉🙌
This regular hood shit it’s way worse now which is not ok but this movie is spot on today
Dead Presidents and Baby Boy next please

I have plans for both of those movies, but for now will you settle for Juice, and Don't be a Menace next? Also, between Dead Presidents and baby boy, which one would you want first?

Dead Presidents is a classic.
27:57 omg another amazing point!!!!!!!
I think yall miss the point of childhood experience, and desensitization to the things that seem despicable. Those things shape a person, and you can't unlearn things without a lot of perspective and effort. You don't just change perspective on your entire world by thinking about it for a day or even a week; That level of character development takes years. People put in these unfortunate circumstances where your life is about as valuable as the dirt you walk on shouldn't be scrutinized for not knowing any better; Look at what is around them. If society cannot learn to be understanding of ones circumstances, it should not be surprised when one becomes a menace to said society. "the child not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel it's warmth"
Dope reaction 🎉❤
23:02 AMAZING POINT
Ahh life in the hood during the height of the crack epidemic of the late 80s early 90s was a rough time. Now y'all need to watch South Central and Boyz in the hood

We have a reaction for Boyz in the hood, but I did not know South Central was a thing. Thanks for the recommendation, I will check it out. Btw, We are dropping our reaction to Don't be a Menace next week. I hope we didn't miss out on anything, by not watching South Central before!
Can yall please react to the rapper 50 cent’s movie 🍿 entitled “Get Rich Or Die Trying” it’s similar to 8mile is the sense of depicting the rappers past life

Thanks, I knew we couldn't be the only ones getting angry. One point we didn't make, is the fact that Ailina's baby will grow up with it's fathers killer in it's life. How messed up is that? The baby's uncle is it's Fathers Killer!

@CocktailFlicks according to the Hughes Brothers Alina was NOT pregnant. She was an opportunist trying to get some money. That's from the writer and directors.
