Reason he wrote this song was because he used to get thrown out of places for dancing. The pogo dance they used to do was seen to be dangerous so every time they got on the dance floor to a fun upbeat song like Heart of glass or B52s they would get thrown out by bouncers….

The 80s were a time of fun and happiness. Awesome shows,awesome movies,hot women,kickass music!! There were also bad times as well,petty crime,The Cold War,heavy drug use. But still it’s a very better and different than today. No Covid, ‘no overly used technology. No people were actually people back then. Wish I could go back to these times!!

During the First World War, thousands of Ukrainian Canadians were imprisoned as enemy aliens due to their origins in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
