Men's Woodland Special @ White Earth Treaty Days Pw 2021

Men's Woodland dancers represent the Warriors of the Northern Woodland tribes of Native America.
Similarly to the Men's Traditional they tell a story of hunting, gathering and sneaking up on the enemy.
there are distinct song and beats that represent these dancers and their movements.
Each song expresses a different type of dance.
example.
If the song is a warrior song the dancers express their skills as showing a battle.
gathering song the dancers dance depics them gathering berries and hurbs and so on.
A person can tell what tribe a dancer is from by their distinct designs on their outfits or regalia. And even what clan that dancer is can be seen in the beadwork. The dance itself sometimes tells of what family the dancer belongs to, as most dancers are brought up watching their fathers or uncles dance.

My favorite woodland dancer is the one in the plaid shirt and war bonnet. He reminds me of some kind of wild chief waving his axe around in the air as he dances around wildly..
