If you are going to suggest I hire an employee: yes, I am contemplating it. Also want to clarify my endorsement of Hugo Boss suits: the recent suits are what you want. Vintage suits are much less likely to flip quickly.

I’ve been thinking of scaling way up and was considering that too. What would be a proper hourly wage you think? I think it’s a great idea, that way you have time to source a lot more (the fun part)

@@ThriftALife oh yea, 100%. It’s a lot of work depending on what you want them to do. Average wage varies state by state so it is a tough question for sure, plus you could do something like a bonus for every x amount of listing per hour to keep them motivated to list faster.

I really admire your willingness to try new things and incorporate them into your business model. It is extremely helpful for me as well as I am constantly thinking about ways to improve my small business. I mentioned this in the comments of another video, but I think you’d be very successful doing pallets. I am thinking of doing that myself but need to get an EIN. I’ve also found that sourcing on whatnot has been a game changer. The cost of goods is often higher, but it sure beats spending two hours at a thrift store and walking out with one or two pieces. Really appreciate your content. Thanks.

Matt, Every time I watch one of your videos I crack up laughing- “I hate finding the stuff and losing the stuff” I can relate! I too use a bin system for my eBay stuff, at first I was losing stuff constantly, then I went to a color coding method, now I take photos bag the stuff then choose a color for the day, write the date on it and a code number of what I paid and code number of what I expect to get like (Nov 1 - J. Jill sweater medium 5/30 BLUE) and I write this code into the listing, then I throw it in a bin with a blue sticker on it. And it works I don’t lose things anymore and I know what date I cataloged it, how much I paid for it and what I want to get for it. And it’s kind of cool checking the numbers once the item sells. Just my thought on that. Take care, R

Super stoked for you on the Rick Owens find. High end junk is my thing. Today, I found the matching jacket to a Haider Ackermann dress/skirt and nearly lost my mind. I’ve changed my business model (mostly due to not having tons of room for storage), but also because for PM I find it’s best to specialize: either mostly high end (or mid tier quick flips) or bulk low price. Can’t do both on PM. Makes the closet too cluttered and results in people questioning one’s authority on a high end item. Sucks sometimes due to finding pieces that are just style-wise (or vintage) finds…but that’s the story on PM. I’m ok with it. I find PM doable…not overwhelming and with my finds…it mostly works. I just struggle with leaving items behind that are incredible, but cater to a über fashion educated audience. I struggle to leave behind high end pieces that are just too obscure. I know there is the Real Real, but I just worry I’ll get screwed by sending in some of my pieces.

Only issue is the upfront work of labeling it and bagging it but I would rather do that then spend 2 hours looking for a piece of clothing

Shipping used to stress me out because of my disorganization but now I can do it mid afternoon and get it out before the end of the day. I got the extra long bankers boxes and can fit 25 items in each with the numbers sticking out. The inventory system and buying a Rollo printer are things I wish I would have done way sooner to save me time.

Soooo, for your neck and back...try omega 3 (vegan if you wish) and turmeric, like 1000 mg per day. These will help😁 Also, have you tried Flyp free cross listing tool and auto sharer for Poshmark? I just signed up and still learning the setup..but, promising! I feel somewhat skeptical of the free-ness...but I'll give it a go😏

Matt, I don't know how you're even able to flip anything from Eddie Bauer at all 😂 my sales have been stupid slow for about a month now and I don't have any defects or anything like that

I've been approved for whatnot for 2 months now, I have a ton of womens plus size from one person (started at 28 thirty gallon bags of clothes) they sell well mostly on Ebay and I've put stuff aside to try to schedule my first show but also work a FT job. I may want to schedule one just to try it out, my cogs was about .25 cents each item so I figured no loss if items sell for $3. I suck at bagging my inventory as well! Currently searching for a pair of reformation jeans I just listed, cant find! Love your videos as always!

A plus size women's clothing auction may do quite well.

@@ThriftALife Thanks that is encouraging. Also yes, Torrid does well, I sell their jeans pretty quickly larger sizes along with bolder printed tops/unique patterns. Talbots usually does well but saturated, Eileen Fisher, most sells within the first two months I list. Great finds

Is there any way to do something like voice to text while creating posts? Maybe creating a text and then copy paste? To relieve the tension from typing and staring at the screen.... May the listing go smoothly and successful!

I'm also guilty of forgetting to delete cross listed clothes on eBay that sold on Poshmark previously and now I have to get my seller rank back up

I wonder what are your thoughts on Grailed? I feel like some of your mens items would do well there? I don’t know much about selling there…

I just started Poshmark and it's pretty unorganized for a seller regarding messaging and offers. I'm sure paying 7.67 to ship an item that should be first class has a lot to do with it. I noticed with low offers they are trying to reduce by 10 dollars and not pay shipping. I also noticed the majority of name brand clothing is xs/small/or kids so I only share what is on your manifesto that is L or above.

I know you know it but you don’t know it, but in case you still don’t know it the lululemon tank is the ‘swiftly tech’ line. It’s the only lululemon style I’ve memorized (along with the ‘metal vent tech’ which is the equivalent for Men’s) because it’s all 300%+ sell through and almost always sells for over 35 regardless of what it is.
