This was a really sad day for me being a Texas tech fan but al respect goes to the coaching staff and players and fans of Virginia they played well. I though when we were up by three we had it but we were not paying attention. Congrats to Virginia but tech will come around.

Now if this guy sits in your living room and says he wants your kid to come to UVA how do you say no! What a class act and an amazing example of what a real man is. Those kids are so blessed and fortunate to be around him everyday. He just won many recruiting battles with this interview.

kylan laws you say no because Coach Bennett doesn’t run a one-and-done program. If you want your kid to reach the NBA at age 18, Virginia is not the school for you

Watch this to the end (and no, don't skip ahead). This is why Virginia basketball are national champions.

Their run through that tournament was magical, never seen anything like it and probably never will again, old enough to remember those Ralph Sampson lead teams when they got to the Final Four but fell short of getting to the championship game, this is for all those players, Ralph, Othell, Cory, Malcolm to name a few that didn't get to experience that, Congrats to my home state Hoos, Coach Bennett kept those guys on track and good luck this coming season...

As a die hard Red Raider watching this still makes me sick. With that said top class from Tony Bennett and his players. A worthy opponent. We will be back sooner rather than later.

Those kids are pure class, Tony is a spectacular judge of character as well as talent. The resurrection of the program has been great to watch. I have waited so long to see this. I am so proud. Wahoowa!

Tony Bennett is the best human ever. Kyle Guy needs a statue with those fts vs Auburn. Ty Jerome will have a great career as a pro and was the biggest leader for that team. De'Andre Hunter made the biggest 3 in UVA history.

This team was completely humiliated and mocked mercilessly by the media and by everyone else, including their own fans ; This is truly , not only enormously sweet and cathartic for the team , but also a lesson for all of us , when experiencing failures and losses; The whole world would humiliate you , and mock you ; But you get up , with steel resolve , and accomplish the ultimate sweet success! Coach is a man of faith for real! Its crazy how silent of a threat va is and was and at the end of the story. U hear all the scriptures quoted n glory going to god. Coach ur a great leader!

Do men of faith take credit when NIKE bribes the NCAA to have the refs ignore calls against teams wearing the competition's shoes? I think a real man of faith would at least admit that the refs favored his team the entire last two games. Corruption and lies make Jesus cry.

I don't know what game u watched but va beating texas was all because these kids were hustling. The nike dilema has nothing to do with his character.

I agree with the comment below about watching the whole thing and not skipping to the end. But if you are pressed for time, Coach's last answer summarizes all that is great about him and his program. Many athletes are placed on a podium but don't belong there. This man, what he did, what his players did, is a story for the ages. They can't be on enough podiums.

They have had a more successful last 6 seasons than both unc and Duke. 4 acc regular season champs, 2 ACC tourney champs, and 1 national title.

Not at all in my opinion! To me Virginia didn't have anything to prove! This is just an overdue welcome addition to their success! I'm proud to call them a member of my teams' same conference! Much congrats Cavs from a Duke man! ANYBODY BUT CAROLINA! No program deserves a national title more than these super well rounded young men

Offense will come and go but defense keeps you in the game when shots aren't dropping also they have great Offense

Right, because the one thing the NCAA wanted more than anything else for TV ratings and ad revenue was to get to two defensive, low-tempo teams like Virginia and TT in the finals instead of Zion and the Bluebloods.

Diversity on Va. team almost ruined their chances.

U.Va. players allowed to skip exams, take off on Epstein plane.
