Men's 10,000m Final | World Athletics Championships Doha 2019
Спорт
Welcome to the World Athletics Watch Party, join the conversation on Twitter with our hashtag #WatchWorldAthletics.
In a brutal race of attrition, Joshua Cheptegei of Uganda capped a glorious year by securing the world 10,000m title to add to the world cross-country crown he secured in March.
Cheptegei, who shared the pace with Kenyan duo Rhonex Kipruto and Rodgers Kwemoi for much of the race, was rewarded by out-slugging Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha in a thrilling final lap to land the title in 26:48.37 - the second-fastest time in World Championships history.

Am Kenyan but this Ugandan has come from far. I remember him ran out of gas literally at the world cross country championship in Uganda some years back. Coming back after that laughable moment and boss a class field says a lot about Cheptegei.
Cheptegei is an athlete to watch in distance running. He's distant for greatness. Love from Kenya.

The WR for one mile and two miles is held by a morrocan of semitic descent. And its still one of the longest held records in distance running history. So in afraid I dont buy what youre selling. Being short and unhealthy gaunt also has very little to do with it. The only American to run under 27 in the 10000 was 6 foot 1 and weighed 170 lbs.
