I needed this today. I have surgery on the 30th and I feel really sad, stressed about school, and anxious. Totally agree, Men suffer just as much as women do, they stress, they get abused , they feel pressure and just as women are you are made to fit into a certain image and persona that society has tried to make you fit into for years. But you're all individuals and can be who you really want to be.

Yeah my dad tells that to my brother, and I'm a girl and it just saddens me. Sometimes I hit my brother first like play fighting and he hits me back, but my dad was like "omg you shud never hit women!!!11!!111!" As an advocate for mens rights and mental health I fuckin love and appreciate you so much Ali!!! Men cover 80% of suicide victims and 70% of the homeless population. 22 veterans kill themselves every day and 21 fathers kill themselves every week due to not being able to see their children and just one of each of those is 1 too many. Dude.. I’ve recently fell back into addiction. Only a few weeks clean right now.. This is my third time going down this dark , lonely and self destructive road. I’m lucky enough to have family who care, but that doesn’t stop the feelings of worthlessness and flashing thoughts of self harm. I’ve hurt people I love, I’ve stole from them, I’ve blown up at them for literally no reason at all, so in my mind I’m a pathetic piece of trash. Which I think is true, but it doesn’t have to be. I need change, and one of the biggest things I’ve learned is vulnerability isn’t a weakness. It’s a strength a lot of people don’t have, especially men, and especially men on both sides of my family. Guys, it’s not weak to show your weaknesses to people who care, it’s strength because you’re taking that step to heal and forgive yourself. It helps those who you have hurt to forgive you as well. I have so much work to do, but I’m working on it. Thank you for this message my man, brought tears to my eyes because I needed to fucking hear that.
