You can see he is no longer a human but a cyborg. He's presented with his back to the viewer, probably left his past behind and became somewhat of an outlaw with a cause, with his sword representing honor and a personal level towards he's goal. She's human in charge of terminating him but her face looks tired, sad and hesitated to pull the trigger and without an aggressive/defensive pose. He looks completely calm with his guard down without regrets and complete trust in her. Probably there was an intimate relationship between. Sorry about the english.

Looks like a game where a secret agent wife lost her husband in accident. Then he was saved and his memory wiped clean, serves a corporation that aims to take over the world dystopia style. And she finally confronts him after a fight and realises its him and thats why she has hesitation written on her face. But he sort of remembers who she is but cant at the same time because his memories are fragmented nonetheless he doesn't want to kill her. So she reaches out to all that 'you are' meaning his self before he became mechanical entity. Would make a good movie or game.

Years later and I accidentally stumble into the EP this song is a part of. The whole thing is great. Memtrix is now on the list of artists I actually go out of my way to follow, instead of just stumbling into every once in a while.

The year is 3057. She's a law enforcement officer, a rare human in a force of AI's. Assigned as her partner is Officer 2374, an AI. They solve many cases together, and over time she learns that the AI can think, but cannot feel. And despite this, eventually she grows to love him in a way. But one devastating event happens. A hostage situation with a known criminal. Placed in the setting of the pouring rain, 2374 makes the call to blow up the building containing both the criminal and those he's captured. She doesn't agree. Holding a gun to his chest, she tells him it's not right. That they should try to negotiate, get the hostages out. In a cold, clear voice, he explains that if they try to negotiate, the hostages will die. But she disagrees. They should at least try. The rain pours down her face and body. 2374 stares ahead. She stares at him. A breath. She pulls the trigger.
