Greater Memphis is the 42nd-largest metropolitan area in the United States, with a population of 1,348,260 in 2017. The city is the anchor of West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi, and the Missouri Bootheel. lol that’s because they haven’t decided to change the skyline 🏙 images , maybe one day they will , should want to improve downtown make it look more lively with bigger buildings and attention to detail very opposite of a places like Atlanta Georgia for example

@@swaggytjmatthews4685 Skyscrapers aren't built for a anesthetics. The size is determined by need. Most corporate buildings in Memphis are either in Midtown or on Poplar Ave. Memphis downtown has evolved into mostly a residential area. The demand to live downtown is so great that many corporate buildings are being turned into apartments and condos.

i actually like this video, but i gotta say, this is EXTREMELY one sided, you see, this is about 10% of Memphis...mainly downtown, a small bit of the medical district. Smart man though, we didn't become the most dangerous city in America from these beautiful neighborhoods you see here, there is another Memphis. But THIS Memphis is what draws so many, the amazing architecture, the pyramid...stick to these areas if you visit, and you should be just fine. great vid

I think it would have been more interesting with some narration about the things and places being scene; but then, I have been a local tour guide for many years. I often took chartered bus groups on a "rolling tour" to give them an overview of the city before going into any of the usual attractions. There is a lot that could be said about the city just doing a ride around.

I'm impressed, it certainly is a very clean city, no litter at all, and they do not seem to have a homeless problem like most cities have either. I know they have a crime problem but still looks like it would not be a bad place to live and work. My only con comment would be they have an excessive amount of stop lights and speed bumps which would be very annoying trying to get someplace in a hurry.

I live just south of Memphis. It is an awful city with about 400 murdered per year. It's a good thing you're at interstate speeds driving through it. They even shoot at you on the interstate, about 30 a year. Horrible Horrible city.
