Memphis State Pom Pon Dance Team 1986 Championships

The first year of national dance team championships and the beginning of Memphis State's (now University of Memphis) dominance in the category. This was taped on an old VHS, so please excuse the quality. More than 25 years later, this routine is still exciting!

I love this team! I also taped many dance and cheer championships on VHS tapes. My oldest Memphis State routine ESPN tecording was 1991 so seeing this one was a real treat!! I'm doing a presentation for dance physical therapists and I decided to look up my fav dance team for inspiration!! Thanks for sharing!!

OOOOOOOH!!!! Chris Brown, BOY YOU BETTA READ FOR FILTH!!! (he's tellin DA TRUFF too!) * Yes, and Sherry should be thanking the staff of USA Song whom she always stole the material from the College Camp in Santa Barbra, and NEVER gave credit. Each year she copied more and more material from Diane, Debbie and Lori. However, the ladies executed the routines flawlessly--year after year, and really did deserve to win. The issue here is claiming the material is original and your own--when it couldn't be further from the truth.*
