    Hey everyone...thank you so much for the huge response and for your interest in The Coil Buddy! Please make sure you watch my latest video about retraining memory wire bracelets. This method can be used on all bracelets whether you use The Coil Buddy or not. 😊 kzread.info/dash/bejne/c5dnkpuJaNrFn9I.html ❤️🌺🌸 UPDATE: I've been experimenting with different gauge memory wire to see if there's an ideal thickness and it looks like the best thickness to use is .8mm (20 gauge) or thicker but then, of course, your beads need to have the right sized holes. Bigger and heavier beads usually do have larger holes so if you want to use them in your designs, you need to purchase thicker memory wire so you don't have to "retrain" your wire. The thicker wire holds your patterns in place a whole lot better. 😊

    I never tried to "design" a memory bracelet before, having always made them in a randomly beaded way. Your tutorial was very informative and makes your technique enticing. I initially learned to make the loops out, but I am going to try doing the loops in.....and awaaaaay I go! Thank you so much for your tutorial!

    Hi Luisa I have to tell you. I was watching your channel in bed. I had to get up place my order and send you a message. I was never really a memory wire bracelet person. But when I saw this I have to give it a try. The bracelets you made are beautiful. I love the fact you can see your design before you load on the wire. I can’t wait to get my coil buddy and magic rods. So excited. Thank you for all your time, your tutorials and your inspiration.

    I’ve never thought of this before and I’ve sold hundreds of memory wire bracelets on my Etsy store. I guess I just do this visually without making out this chart. I also think the more you make the better they will be. I love memory wire.

    Yes, I agree. But the Buddy Coil helps when you're arranging beads across multiple rows above and below the center coil so that they form a focal center pattern that spans multiple rows. That's really hard to do visually without loading and unloading. I have made many bracelets without it but the guide and the rods make the job a whole lot easier and quicker. 💜

    Thank you Marjorie. Be sure to watch my upcoming video that will address the different variables that can affect alignment no matter how meticulous you are when arranging beads. I will be demonstrating how to retrain memory wire after it’s loaded so that the patterns line up. Sometimes, even with anchor beads, patterns don’t line up exactly but the “retraining” method takes care of that. 😊❤️🌺🌸

    Hell Louisa, its Katy Auburn , one of your kindred spirits I am so excited for you and your product!! It looks terrific and I know youll be very successful with it. What a fantastic idea...Im going to have to have one.I told customer support at Bargain Bead Box that you should receive a bead-gift....you gave them a great review. I know you dont know me from beans, just another fan and self-proclaimed kindred spirit and all, but theres something I want to say to you. You give so much of yourself for all of us and I just want to tell you about my gratitude. There are only a few new things coming my way these days, with covid and all. But coming upon your channel has been the best thing thats happened for me. I told you before, I turn you on the tv and you just stream along and inspire me artistically for hours while I bead And if I cant sleep at night, sometimes your centering voice calms me. You give me so much, and as I read the comments people write to you I realize how many other fans are affected by you. I know how much work you do to make these videos and tutorials, and I hope you feel the admiration and appreciation we have for you. Just please, take good care of Louisa, dont let this project stress you out in any way. You are doing a beautiful giving thing, for people you dont even know. Keep lots of that love that you show us through your knowledge and your garden and music -and of course your pergola complete with bunnies. If it stops being enjoyable for you, I hope you take your time and take a break until you recharge those beautiful batteries of yours. Anyway, Im bending your ear ...but I do have a quick question. Im going to visit family in Alexandria- Im not sure when---would it be okay if I popped by to meet you and see your studio and your work in person? It might not be for awile ( I live in Boston ). And dont travel much these days. But I sure would love to. Be well Louisa, Katy Waters Edge Designs beaded jewelry by Katy Auburn

    This should be great for regular multi-strand bracelets as well. I keep loading beads up on beading wire, with stoppers at the end that look like paper clips, and they're not as secure as this method looks. it also moves a bit, as wire is flexible. This stays straight, making it quick and easy to measure what you're doing. Just measure the length of strand and put the stoppers at that length. There should be plenty of room for that on these rods from the look of them.

    Hi Luisa or should I say Einstein. You are truly a genius as well as being highly talented. Your Coil Buddy is truly remarkable. I paused the video towards the end and followed your link to your Etsy store to order one immediately. This is the first time I have ordered from Etsy and they won’t recognise my MasterCard. They keep asking for another card. Has this happened to anyone else? My card is up to date and I have the funds so I don’t understand. I must be doing something wrong. I am so anxious to support your amazing invention and of course to use it ASAP. Well done my very clever friend. Cheers and congrats, love Jen x ps hope they don’t run out before I sort this problem out x

    Another wonderful contribution in every way. thanx .. when you say clear my board, what exactly do you do with leftover beads, rogue beads on the floor or popped off the table somehow, maybe because I am a beginner and use a LOT of seed beads. And I have 3 curious kitties who insist on being close by. So what I have done is have a container for random beads and then when I start a new piece, I go to that container to see if I can use any of the rogue ones first before I use a fresh strand or open a vial or tube. Can you share any hints for keeping tidy. I am very ocd about putting things back because I am old and easily forgetful and chaos drives me crazy-er!!! Lol

    Hi Sharon. It might work but you would need to use a length that is the desired length for your bracelet. I’m developing a guide for that as well but it’s not ready yet. Of course the rods would also need to be a specific length. I do take custom orders on my Etsy store so if you would like rods that are of a different length, please send me a message through Etsy. 😊

    It's a great idea, I placed an order. All my memory wire is 55mm, but I thought it would be easy to make the adjustment. stock two sizes? Have you thought of having a line for 55 and one for 60 on each side so you do not have to stock two sizes?

  • @MistyMoonDesigns

    @MistyMoonDesigns

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes! I’m working on other solutions. There are many sizes but the 60mm seems to be the most popular but you can absolutely mark the guide for a smaller size. Just make sure your precise and it in pencil so you can erase it if need be. I had thought about adding guidelines initially but I tried it and my eyes got tired very easily due to all the lines. I wanted something clean and easy but I do have another version that I’m working on and, if I release it, I will send everyone who’s purchased the 1st version a discount. Also, please make sure you read the instructions about “retraining” your wire to help your pattern line up. I’ll be demonstrating that in an upcoming video. 😊❤️🌺🌼
