I honor all the soldiers who fought for peace and freedom. God bless all the soldiers (living and those who passed on )who gave their lives so that we can live in peace and freedom. That includes my grand father who fought in WWll and My brother who served in the military during the desert storm in Iran. They both survived and live to to tell their stories. My grandfather passed on now. My brother who is alive and well. But may did not live to share their stories. So we honer them. Beautiful parade. Gemini, thank you for sharing. Here we have a beautiful day and yet very small crowds. This day is to remember all the fallen that gave their lives for each and every one of us. And yet, so few people. Only one day to remember, and yet, in a few short days, an ENTIRE month will be dedicated to people celebrating their sexuality. They will pack the streets for weeks in celebration. Which is their right to do so, but all the while not giving one hoot about how they have the right to celebrate. They get an entire month and soldiers that sacrificed their lives get ONE day. Let that sink in. This is how far we have fallen as a country. We all know who to blame. Stop being so scared to call them out. Show them you know them for who they REALLY are and that their mere existence in this country disgusts you. Please honor our fallen. They deserve to be remembered for more than just one day. (this vet thanks you).

Also for your information- May is national military appreciation month, and has been since 1999. LGBT people are killed every day worldwide (including the US) for just being themselves. Remember it’s still illegal in 70+ countries but don’t let that get in the way of your ignorance.
