The 80s were great. Unfortunately we spent too much time looking to the future, we enjoyed the time but we had no idea how great it was. We thought the future was going to be awesome and tried to prepare for it. We started recycling, made changes so the ozone layer could heal, every school buried time capsules and we fantasized about what the world would be like after Y2K. We thought the Berlin Wall coming down was a sign of people coming together and bringing an end to the things that divide us, wow were we wrong about that. It’s no wonder most of us seem a little grumpy.

"I wonder what part of my brain that used to store peoples phone numbers is doing now" with the rotary phone! 😂 That IS TRUE! We still have that radio alarm clock and it works just fine. Not one thing wrong with it. Surprisingly, the technology i always have the most trouble with is the most recently made, and the technology i have the least trouble with has rust stains older than I am. Maybe they are trying to make things do too much and are sacrificing the life span of it instead? Either that, or they are being designed to fail faster so you spend more money.

Some of these memes include boomers teasing and insulting our generation. For example, the one where they say kids think they’re smart but they can’t solve some thing off an old car (don’t even know what that thing was and don’t care) is just ridiculous. Our technology is smarter than your old technology. We got better, faster cars now, that includes better sounding radio stations, comfier seats, longer distances, etc. They’re just jealous that technology is getting better, so they decide to take their anger out on us poor kids who simply just happened to be born in this generation. It’s not like we chose to be in this generation or anything! Now what boomer wants to fight me in the comments? LOL

It’s ok, easy times made weak men. That “thing” is an analogue radio, engineered with mechanical buttons that physically moved the tuner to the preset station. Pretty slick.
