I remember seeing high level Melty matches in the 06-07 days of KZread. Never thought the series would come this far. I’m impressed at the passion of this community.

This was the best grand finals at Evo 2022. It has so much great stuff that we love to see in the finals. constant push and pull and taking lead then losing the lead. Just great shit all around. My #1 favorite grand finals match of Evo 2022

i love matches like this where players start to pick up on their opponents tricks and habits and you see their adjusted gameplay. see-saws back and forth who is in control

Yeah, the fast tempo and mechanics makes it really interesting to watch. Esp since BBCF and MBTL is heavy on air control.

Man it's crazy that this is the first MBTL GRAND FINAL AND IT'S A CRAZY SET. THIS MATCH HAD EVERYTHING EXPECT THE COMMENTARY sometimes. 3:08 LOL MASOMA TRIED TO GET HIM IN THE AIR WITH THE RAPID BEAT 3:59 7:26 Jumping Hisui with shield to block Vlov's projectiles. This shit is literally a gamble because like this can happen 10:39. 6:33 THE DIRTY CHEAP A RIGHT AFTER HITTING B AND C IN THE AIR. 12:28 LAST ARC WHICH IS RARE TO USE 13:38 Jing would sometimes instead of throwing Vlov down into a corner he would go to the opposite for the mix up because you expect them to guard in the corner and what do u know Masoma didn't guard because he was betting on blocking for the air. 15:30 Vlov did a moon skill ice and Jing knew with his Moon drive he can counter it because you cant shield back with you used a moon skill most of the time. 15:39 I felt at this moment Jing should've won that because he even back dash for a bait. 19:19 That shit was dirty caught him with the delay dive while Masoma went for the 2B 21:13 WE GOT THE SHIELD WARS 23:35 THE DELAY FIRE GOT JING 25:01 Felt so bad for Masoma right here this shit is annoying. 27:03 I BET THE REASON WHY MASOMA FORCE RELEASED BECAUSE IF HE DID WOULD HAVE DONE A HUGE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE DURING BLOOD HEAT AND NOT ONLY THAT PUT JING IN THE CORNER. GOOD TRY MAN! NOT LIKE THIS PROBABLY THE BEST OUT OF THE COMMENTARY 27:16 Damn I wished when Jing canceled with his 5A he would kill him with ARC DRIVE. GREAT GAME TO THE BOTH OF THEM. Deep I down was I rooting for Masoma just because how rough he had to climb out and made it to the finals. Probably the most impressive out of this set was Masoma blocking and Jing adapting.. GOD I HOPE THE NEXT MBTL EVO IS EVEN MORE HYPE THAN THIS AND MORE VARIETY OF CHARACTERS IN THE ROSTER.

Damn too many anime fighters to keep track of. Guilty Gear, DBFZ, Blazblue, Persona 4 Arena, Arcane Hearts, DNF, and this. Definitely overwhelming don't really know which one to pick and focus on.

Lucky for you, Persona 5 doesn't exist. Arcana Heart is even more niche than melty blood is and DNF is the definition of dead.

Commentary with no jokes, swearing, screaming, references or anything spicy is so dull.

the game is good but these combos are the same in a final? I wish there were games where the player was more strategic instead of just trying to hit combos, what do you think?
