Thank you so much for the inclusivity. As a white woman, I almost feel like I have to have a "valid reason" to want to wear a wig, like alopecia or hair loss. I don't have any kind of medical condition, my hair is just thin, fine, and extremely difficult to style. It doesn't hold volume or curls or anything. I am not confident at all in my hair and it's an extreme insecurity of mine. Thank you for showing that it's okay for a white girl to get a wig simply because she wants to.

@@mayaj4846 I wouldn't recommend leaving a wig on your head an entire month, huh? I don't have a PhD but I'd think that the oils and dead skin will build up on your scalp if you don't maintain your natural hair for an entire month..besides if your hair is pretty straight, the braids will work themselves out quicker. But I also have the opposite problem of having a severe dry scalp, I'd have to get some oil up in there or my scalp would crack and bleed. I slap my wig on in the morning, pin it down, apply a little glue or gel in the front to keep it flush, then I sling it across the room with my bra in the evening. Lol

This may sound stupid but I had an epiphany watching this vid. I have watched many "wig" videos and I have no many wigs but haven't felt like I understood enough to successfully self install. But I get the process now. I realize you just can't throw on a wig on top of your hair. I finally understand the importance of the cap and matching the color to a natural scalp and the whole baby hair situation, etc. Sometimes we just need to find that right person who can explain things in a way that can make us synthesize pieces of information. I found that in you. Thank you.
