Sorry, that's beyond my scope lol. I just play by ear mostly, learned the modes about a year ago. But i really rely on the Jam meisters like Artmant Studios to give the chords and scales to play.

very enjoyable and passionate backing track, thanks Mr Artmant Studios... and like Eddie H said, I found I was using C major scale and Am pentatonic as well as bits of D and G not sure exactly what but it seemed to work most of the time (slowly), considering I'm quite new to trying to play lead guitar...

well D minor sound good when it is on Dm chord and G major gonna sound when it is G chord

When can I play just the scale of the key signature like C pentatonic when I’m in C and when can I play the pentatonic scale of the chord that’s playing so like play around in the scale of C on that chord and then the scale of Am when it switches to that chord (even tho they are related) and then the scale of Dm when it switches to that chord and so on rather than staying in the scale of C the whole time because that’s the key

You can play C Major Pentatonic or C Ionian (major) over the C chord, A minor pentatonic or A Aeolian (minor) over the A chord, D minor pentatonic or D Aeolian over the D chord, and lastly G major pentatonic (or E minor pentatonic which is the same, just emphasize G, B, D, and maybe the seventh of the chord which is F natural in this case) over the G Chord. C Major, C Major Pentatonic, and A minor pentatonic all work throughout the song though
