I need to go back!

Hi there. Good video. I have been to Varadero many times, last times in September 2022. I am not sure why but every time I pass across the hotel I had the impression that it was too wown out, that it was too old and I must say it never looked good from outside? has it changed? do you have the feeling you in too old hotel? As for the food? is it well-cooked? any apples, shrimps, beef, roasted pork? I am kind of picky and I like to eat good...I do not expect to find all that but I want to know if it is worthy in this respect, thanks for any info..I want to book either this or the Peninsula Varadero which I visited last time but was not good either...

Hello! I understand what you mean. The hotel is a bit outdated and not as modern as some of the other resorts I’ve seen. Although our room was nice it did look a bit “old”. Lol. The food was okay, they didn’t seem to have a lot of beef, I’d see it pop up in the buffet only a couple times while I was there. There was a lot of pork in the buffet, and you could also get it cooked in grill by the cook. There was shrimp and tons of seafood. I don’t remember seeing apples at the dessert table, I saw a lot of pineapples, mangos and some others. If you’re looking for a more modern resort I don’t think this is the one for you. 🙂

@@Melissadacruzz Thanks a lot. I just visited last september 2 resorts in Varadero and I came back really dissapointed. Melia península Varadero and Iberostar Laguna Azul....This one is on the cheaper side as well so I just wanted to know about the food, the rooms, the hygine all over the buffet and hotel, etc....thanks a lot

The food was good, it wasn’t great. That’s how’s it’s always been everytime I’ve been to cuba. Lots of different options though. There wasn’t a lot of beef, there was a lot of pork, fish and chicken dishes. I’d usually go right to the person grilling food and get a few pieces of chicken and pork. You get 3 a La carts which was a bit better. Breakfast they had eggs, bacon, sausage, veggies and stuff. I again went to the grill and had a nice fresh omelette made! The snack bar could of had better options; one day we missed breakfast and the snack bar only has 2 different types of sandwiches (ham and cheese and a fish one). One thing is everything was very clean, didn’t see any bugs or anything crawling around so that’s always a plus.

Hello am going soon. Can i ask you some few question please? How much to tip them after having a drink at the bar around?or food? How much was your catamaran trip? Did you went out of the resort alone?

Hey!! I would usually tip them around 1 or 2 US dollars. If it was the buffet, my friend and I would usually tip a couple each. For the a la we would tip like 5 each. Those boats you see in the video were part of the free water activities with the hotel! They take you out in the water and it’s quite nice! I went to the resort with my friend but I did see a few people who were there alone!

I am going to this complex this summer and I would like to know if the wifi is free or paid?

It’s free!! They give you a code when you get your room! The wifi can be a bit spotty but pretty good for the most part.

@@Melissadacruzz i worked 5 weeks on cuba stayed a week in this resort. What a mess sorry and the food was awfull. Full with eating tourists. I feel sorry for the people on Cuba.
