Awful: she just bounced around the city eating, eating and eating--except when she stopped to go shopping. It annoys me that people from overseas think this is all there is to Melbourne. Visited Windsor, yet didn't cross Prince Highway to see the Astor Theatre--unforgivable. Went up and down Chapel Street, but where was the trip down Greville Street? Ridiculous. Why did she buy whole passionfruit sealed in a plastic package? That's a terribly non-Japanese thing to do. The obligatory "clueless tourist" shot of the bastard who hanged Ned Kelly--educate yourselves, people. State Library in Brisbane is far better than State Library in Melbourne--see for yourself. Bought Deep Heat, thinking it was toothpaste--baka! By the way, I've been to her country (Japan) several times, and my trips to Japan were more interesting than her trip to Melbourne. No Google Map, no mobile phone, just used common sense and a curious mind. I found some amazing things. Not the worst Melbourne video, yet far from the best, and certainly disappointing (and yes, I was born, raised, and live in Melbourne).

Melbourne is my hometown and it was nice to see all these familiar places you visited through your eyes. Welcome back - and come back soon!!😊😊😊

The images and sounds in your video are so beautifully crispy and clear..love it great quality. Fitzroy is a great area and very iconic, good choice. I travel alot and exactly like you, the sights, smells and sounds of cafe culture tucked away in small streets, stylish and vintage stores, walking through tree blessed streets and paths, birds, quietness, and just going slow paced. Really enjoyed this.

I mean that's what real travel is all about, becoming entrenched in the local characteristics of neighbourhoods and people, I changed my style of travel about 13 years ago from touristy to more local authentic feeling. It has been so fulfilling and along the way I picked up some local phrases and words in a few countries 😁

oohh I have a fun fact about the murky water ~ it's actually one of the cleanest man-made rivers in Australia. Because it is so clean, the 'sediment' (dirt from the bottom) floats to the top! It's a bit of a.. conundrum hahaha

Melbourne through your eyes is amazing. I live in Australia, but in a different state. I try to go to Melbourne as much as I can whenever I need a change of scenery and I do have friends who live there too. I'm actually going there early next year and I want to visit some of the shops that you've been to in this vlog, especially Denimsmith!

Shit, Melbourne is awful. I plan as many trips as possible to spend time *away* from here. Fortunately, I live a long way from the CDB. The shops are, speaking generally, nothing special. Second hand clothes, they call them "vintage" and jack up the prices. The restaurant scene is overrated. Yet I guess you think this video is "amazing," when it's just a clueless tourist who sits around eating chips, going to grossly overpriced restaurants with nutritionally questionable menus, and shopping, shopping, shopping and more shopping. Where's the footage of the forests in the eastern suburbs, the flora and fauna, the Dandenong Ranges, and so on? You know, the few remaining good things about Melbourne? This video is just like so many others of its type.

Those fries are from my region, close to where I live! Galicia, Spain 😊

I loved watching this at night to relax me before bed, it seems so wholesome, to go back to where you once lived. And answering your question, most h&m stores in big cities in Europe are like that so it’s not surprising here, I also love your pijama where is it from? The Khao Soi was really delicious, and the stall-like shops around there were better than the stylish, modern shops. Although it is far from Bangkok, Chiang Mai is wonderful✨✨

this video made me miss australia a lot, i stayed there with my dad‘s family for over a month and it truly was the best experience i’ve ever had! ❤ i miss the ocean and waking up to the sound of birds.. i’m from canada and it gets cold and depressing in winter (less sunlight) 😅

I'm from Melbourne and in my early 20s when I studied in the city this is how I felt about the city as well. As I got older and have more responsiblities and live in the suburbs, it's hard to stay up to date with what's happening around the city. For this reason it's always fascinating to see other people's view of Melbourne who are from another country. You guys have such a romantic view of Melbourne. 思い出したのが、日本って四季があり洋服も四季に合わせて着るじゃない？冬なら冬用の服着ないと...みたいな。それを楽しむならいいんだけど、冬なんだから冬用の生地で作られた物を着ないと恥ずかしいっていう縛られた感覚。でも、海外行ってから一つ価値観変わったのは、IROちゃんが書いてたようにキャミ着てる人の隣で長袖着てる、その個性の感覚。周りの人の感覚ではなく決まりでもなく、自分の感覚を大事にする（迷惑かかることじゃないなら）ってことでした♡これは私にとってすごくいい価値観でした🫶
