I bought a $7 red light torch for night trips, much less hassle lol This is all great info. I recently increased melatonin to 9 mgs at night and 6 in the morning, but now I'll take it with NAC which produces more glutathione.

First thing in the morning get sunlight on your face. Sunlight on your eyes starts the production of melatonin and circadian rhythm. This is supposed to relieve drowsiness during the day. . Then, sleep in darkness to release the melatonin. Who knew? Now you know.

You might be taking it too late in the day. Try taking it 1-2 hours before bed. I had some grogginess when first starting it and taking it earlier seemed to really help.

Oh that would be fabulous! Bartonella has caused me to have histamine issues. The peptide KPV helped greatly after taking daily for a few months. But I still have to take a daily Allertec. Probably until I get this Bartonella infection under control

If someonce can't afford a week's worth of very pricey melatonin suppositories (and let's face it, this is not financially practical for most of us) then can you help lead us to a melatonin product that we can actually use to start benefitting from all of these wonderful effects? The average person has no clue if the melatonin they are buying has toxic byproducts. What is a good brand, Dr. Pelz? Anyone? I'll be honest, I've been trying 20 mg from a brand I got off Amazon and I've had some WONDERFUL results...but now I need to know how to continue with a decent brand.

@The Resetter Podcast Hi Dr Mindi. So I have a question. I used to assume that we should take melatonin at night before going to sleep. But, since it's produced at daytime does this mean it should be taken in the morning?

Most supplements have 1mg melatonin. These have not worked for me. Also just take sublingual, if you swallow it, i dont think it will be absorbed. Another thing i read in another interview is for sleep you need small dosage, less than 1mg. For pharmaceutical purposes like if you had a stroke you can take from 20mg, 50mg up to 700mg
