That cream is amazing with wetline xtreme gel! I love it! My hair is elongated and I can get a 7 day wash and go with barely refreshing!! Great review mad curls!! I used the soultanicals frizz whizz leave in, the melanin cream, then the wetline gel. I only used a little bit of the leave in because I wanted the cream to shine. I also tried it again with just the cream and the wetline gel and the combo was just as great I dare say even better! If thats something you want to try then give it a go!!!

I think lots of ppl are just saying it’s good because of it being Naptual 85 and they don’t want anyone coming for them since she has such a big following. I don’t see any ingredients in this that are different from most of the natural products on the market. Not saying it is bad or good cause I have not tried it but it is a moisturizer and I believe it is meant to give definition on a braid or twist out so I think ppl should understand that this is the function of the product and not to expect it to give great curl definition but give moisture for a wash and go . If anyone wants to try it I would say go for it and not depend to much on all the hoopla on the tube. Anyway thank you for your honest review. You two look lovely as usual. I always like the way your hair comes out no matter what you two use.

caramelized sugar yup I saw it, this is why I am saying I don’t believe anyone is going to say anything that isn’t too nice. They are going to be as nice as they can be even if the product ain’t ish. Not saying they should say anything nasty but if the product does not do what they expected I don’t believe they will express that. If I decide to try it will be because I want to check it out not because of anything any body on KZread saids about it.

I thought that too... but I actually bought the product (simply because I really like Naptural85 and was going to support anyway), surprisingly my hair really really likes the cream and my hair normally does not creams. Maybe it's the formulation.... I've used it 3 times so far.

I also thought people were hyping her product because it's her. My hair does not take well to creams period, but after trying this myself and pairing with my kinky curly which I thought no other product could pair well with, I am now a believer. I really love the product. It's the only cream based product I'll use. It maybe the way she mixed it...I don't know but it works for my hair.

I love that it has a light scent I hate strong fragrances even if they smell good. I don’t do twist outs either. I’m glad you’re reviewing it.

Fine Natural Hair and Faith here on YT has about your type, but fine hair, and she has tried the melanin line as well. The key for her was using *far less product* than someone with 4 type hair. And that is what I generally do. I watch all curly hair types here on YT, even though I am "only" wavy/curly myself, and I tend to use the same stylers as everybody else!!! I just use a lot less of the product, say a few dollops scrunched through my fingertip length hair; and that does it! Really nicely! :D Love the review, you guys!

I did the pre order. I have the cream, oil, visor and head wrap. I've done a flat twist out that had awesome results. I used it with wetline extreme gel for a wash n go (no flakes). I do have 3b/3c hair so, I will now try the cream as a one and done after watching your results. Thank you for the video 💕

I've had the cream and oil for about a month and it's all I use for twist outs and braid outs. I LOVE the product too!!!! The shipping is a hot mess, but I know she's trying. Glad ya'll reviewed it.

Thank you for doing this review. Both of your hairstyles came out great! Like several other commentors, I was concerned this product would be too heavy for me. I have wavy/curly, low/medium density, low porosity hair. I usually add water (oil/gel/liquid leave-in) to thin out thick products. I'm trying several brands/lines this year - regardless of what the label says - and do my best to make them work (waste not, want not). This will go on my BF 2019 list.

This looks so good! I want these but I'm waiting until I clear out most of my shmedium (yes i said shmedium) stash before I buy anything else. I've been rocking chunky twists with no weave as a protective/low manipulation style and I just know these would do great with this style! Btw your cuts & curls are giving me SERIOUS hair envy:) also I love that Curly Guy sent you shipping money, so sweet of him!

I purchased 2 creams and 1 oil and received free shipping. I really like her products so far. To me her oil smells like lemons or lime mixed with mint. Deva Curl said that after you put your hair products in your hair you should put a little cold water on top of your head so you won't have any frizz. TaylorAnne try that the next time so you will not have any frizz. I tried it once and it works. I think your hair came out pretty though. Thanks

😮I’m 3c-4a & I was concerned that it may be too heavy for your hair type, but hoooney Chile! Y’all’s hair looks A-MAZ-ING! I’ve only used it for a twist out, but this video has convinced me to try it for a WNG. I use that oil for everything. It’s the coconut oil for 2019.

Just received the oil (which does smell really good) and can't wait to use it!

Lol, all madfam are superfans! Great results and lovely ingredients - thanks for including ingredient lists more often. And those yellow and orange clips - they remind me of shea & mango butters, which my type-3-hi-po-fine-strands have been enjoying after the full slabs and then protein overload. I've always been all about gel, but this year has been snip & butter tlc time. The CR aloe butter gel is good - that old video was like you rubbed the whole jar directly 'pon your heads! Your new hairclips have inspired a 'This or That' idea: anything mango (like Kinky Tresses butter) vs anything shea, or maybe Soultanicals Mango Dip Detangling Slip vs Knot Sauce leave-ins. Back when I had toohoohoo much time on my hands, I used to get beautiful buttons from the sewing district in Paris and replace plain ones. If you're not donating but throwing things out and find the time, perhaps save any really special vintage or unique buttons. Oh, and wouldn't a beer-fridge with glass doors be perfect to store your products!? Someday! xoxo!

kippysun Yes, we looked and looked for a video for type 3 hair (so to speak) but we didn’t see any, at the time. But it’s a great great product just dilute it so it’s not so thick. I’m on day 2 today and my hair is still very defined and I didn’t even preserve the curls last night. I slept on a cotton pillowcase with my curls exposed and they still look great 😍🤓💕➰-LoriAnne (just my 2 cents. 😂😂😂)

You both are looking fantastic Thank you for doing this video as I am high porosity with type 3b c hair and as you have mentioned the other influencers are type 4 with low porosity. So I really thought I couldn’t use the Melanin hair line. Though the shipping charges will be enormous in Canada, I am more anxious to purchase it. Thanks you again✨

I must say that I have used Melanin on my 4 a/b curls twice. I like it but I don’t get enough hold without a gel. I do twist outs only. Your hair looks great as usual! Because of Georgia humidity Camille Rose products still work better for me, but I will use Melanin as well with a strong hold gel.

yes this is what i have been doing with Whitney's products as well. They are so rich and softening and moisturizing there is no hold to my hair so something i never do is use gels or jelly but I have been experimenting with the curl maker by camille rose and the Curls b smooth butter gel. Both work so well with the Melanin hair care line. I use the leave in Iove it best thing ever 👌, creame and her oil well i use her oil for everything but my face lol.

Nice results curls are defined...looks like napturals85 came out with a good product👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽LoriAnne I like that look on you your bangs are doing a different thing

My favorite moisturizer for my 4b/c hair. Church sweater 😂😂 I apply the oil after I put on the butter. My curls just POP when applied together.

Jcrew used to charge the astronomical amount of 65.00 a sweater it’s only cotton not cashmere so that was exorbitant but Jcrew Factory charges 29.00 ish. The re-do series sounds interesting I think you guys should really do that

I believe the purpose of 'twist outs and braid outs' is to CURL the hair and with product add shine. For 4s, this may be the only way to DEFINE and show our curls/coils; whereas, 3s curls are ever present. All you have to do is 'wet' your hair to find your curl pattern but for 4s (especially 4cs) it takes PRODUCT and hair style. Those things MAKE the curl VISIBLE and you guys don't actually need that. There are MANY 3s on KZread just type in 'TYPE 3 HAIR' and it will bring alot of them up for you. I saw none that did either of those styles though...

The only Type 3 wash n go I could find after purchasing the cream was Melshary Love-Arias and she said it definitely needed a gel. So I paired it with my DevaCurl gel because I didn’t want to waste a wash and I could even tell on first application that it wasn’t going to hold. It’s super moisturizing and a great product, but definitely not a “one and done” for my wash n gos. P.S. The oil is amazing! I use it on wet hair after applying the cream & gel.

My hair actually hates thick butters, but if I paid it with a very slippery leave in for a wash N go then it works well. I never do twist outs because my hair is to fine and soft and frizz prone. I like it though. Waiting on her other products 😉

Ok so I have had my product for a month. You just taught me the oil top twist off, lol! I puncture a hole in the top.

Ladies, beautiful results. Still don't know if I can use that particular product. I have 3b/3c and some 4a, but fine strans with med to low density. I am still thinking it will weigh my hair and not to mention I live in the deep south, Texas. If all I use is that product the humidity will have my hair.
