It also says “call her a b**** for being human” which shows when the fans are mad they say rude stuff and that she isn’t perfect which nobody is.

It’s so cool how she leaves little references from her old songs like the double braids reminded me of “class fight” and her tears filling up the room reminds me of “crybaby!”

tunnel vision is all about being manipulated, and that is what melanie perfectly portrayed in this music video - the whole time, she’s being told what to do, and everything good that happens is taken away like “fill their cup, take it away” or “give them flowers, take it away” and then the reference to crybaby and the tears fill up the room is reflecting on how hard it is to put up with the pressure of doing everything right and making she no one is upset, yet still, people will “call them a bitch for being human.”

And this video starts with her falling (possibly out of the void) with the intestines still wrapped around her. Bravo, Miss Melanie. Genius to link it all together. Example: 1: Her fans bodyshame her and wanted her to be skinny and tall. 2: The water that she drank during the music video is representing her fans throwing items at her and get interrupted by her 1 fan, that's why she drank the cup for 1 second because it's representing her fans interrupting her.

When analyzing the clip, we can see that it is about the criticism and positive comments that her "fans" made about her appearance and her new style. Throughout the MV we notice small hearts that appear on the screen as everything progresses, as if they were stages in a game. In each heart there are different phrases that the player dictated during the game, as if he wanted to have control of the main character and do whatever he sees fit. Example: "Saying she's demonic." Many fans judged her due to her recent new look. Making unnecessary jokes and even stopping following along. "Give her long hair." After Melanie cut her hair, many fans didn't like it and again judged her for it. "Make her thin and tall." Some fans even made cruel jokes about her weight (Trying to import a standard that they thought was better.) "Make her smile all the time." Maybe this is because she no longer performs her shows without her mask. "Chase her to take a picture." Many people took photos and even went so far as to chase her to get a photograph, which made her uncomfortable. "You made me very upset." Your disappointment with the fans. In the end, the game ends after the player doesn't get what they wanted. However, you can see that the clip is about how far Melanie has gone before her career. The comments, judgments made frustrated and discouraged with their own success. We need to learn that she has her own choices, and if that makes her comfortable, we, as fans, should accept what makes her better. the clip is great, you did well Mel 🎀💗

This is a great analytical review of the video but we should remember that these songs were written long before she even released her creature appearance to us. One of my favorite thing about Melanie is the multiple ways her music can be interpreted. But I do think she often references his the fans and the industry expect so much from her and give nothing in return. Like show and tell and numbers

Make sure u keep streaming PORTALS and the mv’s because the views keep getting smaller and smaller, TUNNEL VISION debuted with 1.4M views and 250K likes in its first 24 hours and FAERIE SOIRÉE only had 1.2M views and 230K likes in its first 24 hours, Melanie is working really hard on these videos and she even had to sacrifice the budget of the PORTALS film for these mv’s and for videos like these it’s probably a lot of budget to but in each video so that’s why there might be a difference in quality, so everyone please keep streaming to make Melanie proud🧚‍♀️🍄🕯️✨

I have a theory. Why do Crybaby’s upper eyes look somewhere off into the distance and squint a little? Perhaps the first eyes (these are the real ones) see matter, look AT the object, but the upper eyes (the second, or new ones) look THROUGH object, so, with additional eyes, she is able to see what the lower pair of eyes cannot see. For example, the souls of those who have not yet been reborn, or something like this. Since Crybaby is now a nymph (and nymphs are mythical creatures), she has the ability to look through matter, to see something invisible. But that's just my theory (I WRITE THROUGH TRANSLATOR)

The songs beat is also extremely similar to the beat of crybaby

the theme really struck me because it was really just an interpretation of the lives of celebrities. their lives are like a video game where fans control them and this mv really brought that message out really well. after i watched the video, i had a feeling that melanie wanted this to be a sister video to show and tell. someone else in the comments had the same thought as me in the "call them a b***h for being human" as fans hate on famous people for having feelings.

This music video is so cool, the portals mvs just keep getting better. I loved the video game aesthetic and how the hearts she sent people are in the music video and create a story. I also liked how the little girl at the end represents the childish fans and internet users who choose to do everything that the heart stones say. The vibes and visual effects are amazing and so high quality. This mv made me realize that tunnel vision is about the general public objectifying Melanie rather than just men in her life. It's directed toward people who only see her as a celebrity or a sex doll rather than an actual human.

I love the fact that this represents both setting boundaries in relationships and with fans. She also represents it beautifully. my favorite part is 2:56, it’s just amazing. The effects are really cool. (also, first time hearing Mel say 😽)

This is absolutely amazing, the way it’s being depicted as a video game where the player is making choices and controlling crybaby and just messing around with her not caring at all, “call them a bitch for being human” and crybaby filling up the pit with tears😭

The fact that she can go on tour, move from state to state everyday, still give concerts despite having a throat infection, releasing a whole 1-foot-statue with 4 PARFUMS inside WHILE ON TOUR, making merch, restocking the merch and parfums AND make music videos is so impressive and we all love melanie for it💗🌬️🕳️🕯️

Iv noticed Mel is dancing a lot more and I absolutely love it. You can literally see how much her confidence has grown through her dancing. I’m not gonna lie I have grown to love watching her dance, because I feel like she really honestly tells a story through her body movements

I've been a mel fan for a long time. Melanies big change was amazing! I will support her no matter what. All the merch she makes is amazing and she deserves more treatment other than people saying "she looks weird now" and "her b00bs increased" like mind your own business! Melanie has been my number 1 out of all people. She's so relatable and her songs sound sweet until you really listen to the lyrics. Mel is an amazing singer. this is my 1st time ever seeing body hair on women in mv!! THIS IS AMAZING! MELANIE IS A TRUE GEM i use to feel VERY insecure about when i was younger. But this made me GASP and cry ❤ this means so much to me.

I just am so in love with the way she shows how some artists are treated. Especially at 2:29 when a little icon pops up that says "Call them a b*tch for being human". I think that really portrays how artists are treated when they make a decision for themselves that makes them happy, that people don't like. I just love how it really portrays how artists are treated because I know it's a big problem. Now I even think it's not just artists who face this, but any big public figure or somebody with a fan-base. Melanie is just extremely gifted in showing real world problems in the form of a song.

my interpretation is that she’s playing a character that is a representation of all the perils of fame in the industry, having to create an image that sells or is wide spread. at the end, since “the creature” isn’t the typical archetype of what the industry wants her to be, the game malfunctions and the girl playing appears to be her as her original style, that she is frustrated she can’t escape the demands and being something different, love her 😭❤️💕
