You should watch off camera videos about the time dates and photos during the dates that Timothy said when it happened it's pretty interesting this situation

Some facts: Timothy got the dates wrong multiple times, and kept changing her story. Timothy provided a picture of Melanie in handcuffs, when they were playing a board game, that was supposed to be proof that Melanie raped her, but the picture was dated May 6th, which was way before Timothy claimed the rape even happened. She provided it as proof, (even tho it’s just mel smiling in handcuffs that were provided with the board game they were playing) , and said that it happened the day she was raped, when the dates don’t add up. Timothy dressed up as Melanie after the rape supposedly already happened Timothy confused the dates of when they stopped being friends, multiple times. There was a body language video done on Timothy by raegan wolf, and in her opinion, she thinks Timothy is lying. Timothy claims after she posted that she was going to out her rapist, Melanie spammed her and Timothy’s boyfriends phones up with calls and texts. Timothy could have easily taken screenshot of the calls she got from Melanie, and provided it as proof.if there was proof Melanie spammed up Timothy’s phone with calls, would be proof of a frantic attempt on Melanie’s part, to stop Timothy from exposing her. But Timothy provided no such proof. In fact, if Melanie did in fact text Timothy, Timothy could still to this day take screenshots of it and provide them as proof. So even if she was going through too much at the moment, to take a screenshot when Melanie was calling her, she could still take a pic of the texts. Yet she doesn’t. She supposedly as proof right at her fingertips, and yet doesn’t share it. If Melanie was going to lie in her statement, why wouldn’t she just say they didn’t sleep together at all? It would have been much easier for her, and she would have received much less hate. But instead, she chose to tell the truth about them sleeping together, despite the fact that it was more difficult for her. She chose to be honest about them sleeping together. If she’s going to lie about something in her statement, why not lie about everything if it helps you? The fact that she was honest in one part of her statement, makes me believe she was also honest about the fact that she had absolute consent on Timothy’s part. Melanie cut Timothy off in 2016/2015 that could cause anger and resentment in Timothy’s heart towards Melanie, and the fact that they started their careers around the same time, but then Melanie went on to be much more successful, could have added to Timothy’s hatred for her even more Timothy has a disorder that can twist reality. If she doesn’t know what’s real, little details like is she said no, or if she said yes, but then regretted it could get mixed up. Melanie was once asked what she thought of trump in ab interview, she’s very emotional, and almost started crying when talking about it. She talked about being against someone who promotes violence, and you could tell she felt so strongly about it. How can someone feel so strongly about not spreading and promoting violence, then go and commit a huge act of violence to their close friend? Obviously Timothy got a lot of fame from the allegations. That’s true wether she was raped or not. And she knew she would get hype from it. These allegations were released so close to the time when she released her single sleep, and to when Melanie released the mad hatter mv. The timing is definitely odd. Bc not only did she gain a lot of attention to her single, but also took down Melanie in the process. After the allegations were released, everyone was going to Timothy’s Twitter, where her single was pinned, despite the fact that she had just released the allegations. The only thing against Melanie is bad wording and the fact that some of Timothy’s FRIENDS sided with her, and called her manipulative/bossy. To me that’s not proof. There her friends, of course they’d side with her. But Timothy, has so much stacked against her. False accusations do happen, even if it’s rare. And if you just simply look at the FACTS, it should be clear whose got the most going against them. I would not choose to stand by mel, if I didn’t think she was being honest.

I agree with not burning mercy and things, but you should not just blindly believe in your idol. You have very obligation to realize what the stakes are and make your judgment based on objective data and FACTS. I'm happy that you realize that Melanie's story is clearly more believable than Timothy's (with all the inconsistencies and dates, you probably already know) when this information first came out, I hope you were not blindly trusting Melanie. Rape is rape, and it is one of the worst crimes a human can commit; so when someone is accused of that, even just accused, I hope you pull back and become unsure instead of blatantly ignoring the allegations. That aside however, I also hope that you search for evidence and, yet again, FACTS, to come to a clear, cohesive decision on what you will chose to believe. Allegations ruin lives, people always put their faith in the one who accuses, even when there is no evidence. This almost happened with Melanie, but I'm glad it did not. m xoxo I think it was just a miscommunication. Timothy might have thought she was saying no but she might have not been explaining herself properly. Melanie probably understood it as a full yes. Melanie thought Timothy was giving her consent. Timothy thought she'd said no but wasn't clear. I love Melanie. Jk I ADORE HER! But I'm willing to give this thought not instantly side with Mel as much as it hurts me to do so. If my theory is true then next time they should just talk. Melanie should be more careful and pay more attention to the red flags and Timothy should get her shit together. She should stand up for herself, firmly say no and walk away. Or give an explanation. The "evidence" is completely debunkable though because victims of trauma are often known to mix up timelines and explain things in the wrong order of occurrence. It's a natural part of the PTSD that comes with being sexually assaulted.

You just proved my point, too. On Melanie's piggyback video I said that neutral people and people on Mel's side give actual reasons and dig deep and the reasons for people with Timothy is that "most of Mel's fans are children, women can rape women too, you're on Mel's side because you're a fan."

Honestly, I'm on nobody's side because there could be many reasons of what happened between them but only both of them know what happened between each other. We know that both of them did it but I'm on nobody's side. There is not enough of evidence to prove either of them wrong or right.

Personally, I believe Melanie over Timothy. Both sides have inconsistencies, but Timothy's story has more inconsistencies than Melanie's. The fact that Mel got famous and Timothy didn't could've sprouted some hate in Timothy's heart against Mel. Timothy also has BPD, which means she can twist reality, and with all these Harvey Weinstein cases and that seed of hate, maybe this is Timothy's truth now because that's the way she has brought herself to see the situation. I feel sorry for both of the girls, as they're both copping loads of hate from everywhere. This is just my opinion and no one has to agree with me, but this is what I believe. Sure, you you can say silence isn't consent, but I also say regret isn't rape. Thank you everyone for the supportive comments! It's great to see mature people discussing this issue! But you're also forgetting: - Melanie never denied the incidents, in fact she tried to make an excuse for herself. (Why do you need an excuse for something that didn't happen?) - as soon as the story came out, three of the actors from Melanie's videos (the mom, Johnny and the blue boy) quickly came out giving support to Timothy and saying they were not surprised. I’ve personally never been sexually assaulted but with big moments in my life such as my granddad’s death I can’t remember the exact date, not even the month. I’ll remember the year if I’m lucky. Not only do I hate Timothy for lying about something so serious, I hate her for three other things. 1) She could’ve ruined Melanie’s life. Mel could have lost her label, her money, her career, her reputation, & could’ve been sent to prison for something she didn’t do. There’s no telling what could happen to someone when they’re incarcerated. 2) Real sexual assault, harassment, & abuse victims are incredibly burdened by people who lie about being violated. It discredits those who have actually been impacted & makes more people assume they’re lying when really, they need to be helped. 3) Timothy Heller fucking used her mental health problems as a scapegoat for being a horrible person. Coming from someone with a history of mental illness who is still fighting it with medications, mental illness is not an excuse for harmful behavior. Timothy took time out of her day to make up that false rape allegation & then held it up for multiple weeks. That takes energy. There were hundreds of times where she could’ve woken up & realized what she was doing was messed up.

I like to make an analogy between this particular situation and the other sexual abuse allegations in the past. Sometimes, it's easier to know which side is wrong because they let you know, but in this case I agree it's kind of a grey area. I mean, when Woody Allen was accused of sexually abusing of a child that was under his care, he responded with "the heart wants what it wants" which not only did confirm that that situation actually happened but also let us see the a monster he is. In this case, au contraire, Timothy says it happened like this and Melanie says it happened like that. Both say it happened, but the consent part is really blurry and we, as third parts, will never know. I think that, in this cases, taking sides is risky, cause both truths are truth on an individual level but the actual truth will always (or at least until something gets proven) be hidden from us. On the side of supporting the artist or not, I think it's difficult to forget all of the feelings the artist made you feel with their art, so I wouldn't judge anyone who still supports the accused artist. Over all, I think it's really complicated. But in the meantime, I won't be neither on Melanie of Timothy's side.

I just pray that Melanie can recover from the false accusations. So much people are rude to her now even though there is proof that Timothy was lying. Imagine that happening to you 😥

Lying is powerful. Her “fans” really dissed her bc of accusations with absolutely no proof.

For me personally, I did look at both parties objectively but there’s more proof against Timothy. Firstly, the dates don’t match. Secondly, her past posts are her dressing up as Melanie and pretending to be kidnapped/raped. Thirdly, her song is pinned at the top of her twitter. I just don’t believe her I’m sorry. I gave her a chance and was on Timothy’s side at first but there’s so much going against her :/

First of all how is she supposed to remember the exact date? Second of all what does her dressing like Melanie have to do with her get raped by Melanie? They've know eachother for a long time and started their careers together so they probably got inspiration from eachother. Third of all an artist can promote their music/their career and still be raped. Melanie also said she was sending her love and light yet she wrote a diss track. Not only that but she said Timothy never said no yet she didn't say if she ever said yes.

There are many cases of people trying same sex play, then regretting it. So they claim assault or rape so as to save face. (Not saying that is what happened here, but just a possible scenario)

actually, during the years, a lot of proofs were found that show that Melanie is innocent. Mainly the fact that in the date Timothy said it happened, Mel was in an other state. Also, a former friend of Timothy revealed that timothy made it all up.

And honestly we don't know what was truly said between Mel and Tim. Tim may have happily went along with it even though she didn't want it. Or maybe Tim did want it and now regrets it because their friendship grew apart.

I'm honestly torn as well about this topic. On one hand, I really don't wanna think that Melanie would do this. I believe in her so much, and this topic is just so much of a shocker to me. lucy adams correct, but you're forgetting that Melanie hasn't been proven innocent yet by officials. Nor has Timothy been concluded as lying or being completely truthful concerning the act. And so, I'm just trying to stay neutral to both sides as of now since there's no concrete evidence aiding both of them individually.

The shade being thrown in this song 😂 Anyway, this video coming out today was extremely consequential, because I just found out about this whole controversy earlier today. It was really interesting to hear your take on the subject. I agree with you. I don't know exactly what to believe with this whole thing, and I never will know what exactly to believe. We'll never know the truth. Part of me wants to move on from this controversy due to it being impossible to tell what exactly happened. The only sources we really have are their word, which are most likely both biased, subjective accounts. However, part of me just can't let this slide. R*pe accusations, no matter what happened, are not something that can be easily overlooked. No matter what happened, someone was in the wrong. Either Melanie r*ped Timothy, or Timothy falsely accused Melanie, which could potentially (or has already) ruin(ed) her reputation. My instinct is to side with Melanie just because I don't feel like she's that type of person. She just doesn't seem like someone who would commit such vile acts. However, that, in itself, is biased and a bit unfair. Unless we get actual evidence, which is next to impossible to come by with these types of crimes, disregarding either claim just doesn't seem right. I am eager to see what becomes of this case, but I personally don't think it will go anywhere. For the time being, Melanie has the right to be innocent until proven guilty. The only problem with this view is the fact that it is incredibly difficult to prove Heller's claims. This makes me go back to the truth realistically never being revealed and the case not really going any further. Overall, it is really hard to keep a completely objective, unbiased opinion on this entire ordeal. I feel that many, like you said, have been either rioting against or supporting Melanie simply based on emotion. Hopefully, things will become clearer later on regarding what actually happened, although that simply does not seem realistic. EDIT: Although the evidence isn't strong enough to completely change my outlook, it is evident that the dates told by Heller are rather contradictory. The time of the crime does not line up, for Melanie was on tour in a different state. This, in itself, is still contradictory, for Melanie admitted to having had intercourse with Heller. At the moment, I am still neutral with the case. There isn't much evidence on either side. However, if I had to choose, I would side with Melanie, for her side has, at the very least, slightly more evidence. I may be reaching, but, at the moment, it is hard to tell.
