I normally don’t love athletes going to other countries, especially in gymnastics… but Melanie is something so special and we all knew how disappointing Tokyo was for her. She has so much potential and I’m so glad she has regained her love for the sport! We cannot wait to see her back in action ❤️

I loved seeing her on the tour!!! I didn't know that she was struggling so much before that. I'm really glad it helped her find her joy and that she's continuing gymnastics in a way that she can enjoy, while still getting better and better. I just saw her in the Paris Challenge World Cup and was so proud of how she did and enjoyed seeing how much fun she seemed to be having!

Not necessarily sure why there are people frowning on this. Would it have been better if she just walked away from the sport? Gymnastics is grueling, not just on the body, but especially on the mind and spirit. It’s good to see that she has found love again for it.

Jordan Chiles almost walked away from the sport. Her relocating to Texas and training there made a huge difference.

I think it's really good for her to be independent and in a gym that allows adults be adults. You can't have a better friend then Jordan Chiles--she may be the sport's biggest hype woman! So, I think Jordan's probably an encouraging friend to Melanie. Also, it's good for her to get out and be on her own even though it's a new country with a new language. That can be scary, but it also will create a self-confidence that will be good for Melanie. Paris 2024 could be Melanie's year! But, even if not, this should be a good change for her life. God bless!

We love her in America

I’ve been following her since her bronze medal in the AA in Cluj at the 2017 Euros. Since then, she’s been incredible… but it seems she finds it hard to compete beyond the European level. The 2017 Worlds in Montréal were promising but 2018 and 2019 Worlds were quite disappointing. The Olympics were so specific in Tokyo that I can understand why she didn’t perform as well as she could have (even the best of the best Simone didn’t either). But the 2022 Paris Cup was not encouraging and the 2022 Worlds in Liverpool were also a bit sad (I think she was injured). I really hope 2023 and 2024 will be better. She has such potential and is a real AAer. All her events are great to watch.

Oui parce que en France, les sportifs , hormis ,un peu les footballeurs,ne sont pas considérés. On ne parle pas de t,Riner, de certains tennis m'en qui font des choses. Et puis la France est devenue un pays discriminant, peu Joyeux . Donc

On s’intéresse pas à eux à leur arrivée dans le sport mais par opportunisme quand ça finit par marcher. Comme les hôpitaux, les écoles, la macronie à privatisé l’accès au sport en précarisant les familles ou le talent émergeait. Nos athlètes non seulement galèrent mais il risque d’y en avoir beaucoup moins dans les générations qui viennent. Ils deviennent délinquants au lieu de devenu sportifs. Bravo et merci la droite et l’extrême droite ;)

ça me fait bien rire…tout le monde critique les américains , mais tout le monde rêve de vivre aux Etats-Unis…et tout le monde est surpris de la supériorité de création…

Après l'avoir vue à Paris, on peut se demander ce qu'elle fait au Texas. Est-elle partie pour apprendre l'anglais? Ce n'est pas avec ces entraîneurs qu'elle va être plus artistique. On n'a qu'à voir Jordan Chiles!

Elle a repris la gym fin avril il faut peut-être lui laisser le temps ?! Elle a fait 1 an de pause de gym après tout, il ne faut pas croire que changements s'opère en 2 mois...un peu de bienveillance

Je serai elle je reste au usa car quand tu vois les salaires en France ci t’es pas footballeur ta peur le salair de merde dans les autres sport

Lol le plus important c'est s'amuser prendre du plaisir et pour ça elle a quittait la france lol normal un pays en déclin total

Christy Henrich died at the age of 22 because ONE judge told her she needed to lose weight. Stop placing unrealistic body images in these athletes because they don't look the way YOU believe they should look. People have said that about Jordan Chiles, who's a bit thicker than Melanie, and she is an Olympic silver medalist, in addition to the recent medals she has won. People like you are not good for the sport because you're body shaming this young ladies, and that is dangerous.

I mean, unless she is joining the USA team, i don't find the need for this 🤷🏻‍♂️

Loads of athletes train in countries other than their own because of coaches, facilities, specific weather. She is just one more!

Il faut se calmer?! A aucun moment elle a dit que c'était la faute dautres personnes mais qu'elle avait besoin d'une autre façon de travailler, d'avoir + autonomie et de tester la gym américaine en quoi c'est mal? Il faut arrêter de voir le négatif partout! Elle vient juste de reprendre ya 2 mois laissez lui em temps de revenir

Typiquement français comme réaction. Les sportifs remportent des médailles, on les acclame; ils "échouent ", il n'y a pas assez de mots et de critiques pour décrire comment ils ne valent "rien". Combien d'heures vous passez dans une salle de sport? Quels sacrifices vous faites?
