ഔസേപ്പച്ചൻ എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട ഒരു സംഗീത സംവിധായാകനാണ്. പേര് സത്യൻ ഇപ്പോൾ വയസ് 67. ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ അഭിമുഖത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞ ത് പോലെ പാട്ട് പാടുന്നതും പ്രാക്ടീസ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് മായ ഓർക്കേസ്ട്രാ സ്ഥാപ നത്തിലോ ക്ലബ്ബിലൊക്കെ പോയാൽ എല്ലാം മറന്ന് പാട്ടിൽ ഉരുകി ലയിച്ചു പോകുന്ന ഒരു തരം സംഗീത ഭ്രാന്തനാ യിരുന്നു ഞാൻ. റേഡിയോ വീട്ടിൽ ഇല്ലാത്ത കാലത്ത് രാത്രി പാട്ട് കേൾ ക്കാൻ മാത്രം റേഡിയോ ഉള്ള വീട്ടിൽ പോയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് വീട്ടിൽ വഴക്കും തല്ലും വാങ്ങിയ ആളാണ്‌ ഞാൻ. പിന്നീ ട് പാട്ട് കേൾക്കാൻ പോകാൻ കഴി ഞ്ഞില്ലെങ്കിലും വീട്ടിൽ പഠിക്കാൻ books തുറന്ന് വെച്ചിട്ടു എവിടെയെങ്കി ലും റേഡിയോയിൽ കേൾക്കുന്ന ഈ രടിയും ട്യൂണും കാത് കൂർപ്പിച്ചു കേട്ടു മനസ്സിൽ പകർത്താനുള്ള ശ്രമമായി രുന്നു ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നത്. പക്ഷേ സാഹചര്യവും സാമ്പത്തിക വിഷമവും കാരണം സംഗീതം പഠിക്കുകയെന്ന സ്വപ്‌നങ്ങളൊക്കെ തകർന്നു പോയി. ഇന്നും വരികളിൽ അർത്ഥമുള്ള മെല ഡികൾ എന്റെ വലിയ ദൗർബല്യം ത ന്നെയാണ്. പക്ഷേ ഇന്ന് അർത്ഥവ ത്തായ വരികളുള്ള മേലടികളോ ക്ലാ സ്സിക്കൽ ഗാനങ്ങളോ കൂട്ടുത്തരവാദി ത്തോടെ പിറക്കുന്നില്ലെന്നതാണ് എ ന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ദുഃഖം. ദയവ്‌ ചെ യ്തിട്ട് ഔസേപ്പച്ചന്റെ മൊബൈൽ നമ്പർ ഒന്ന് തരാമോ? ജീവിതത്തിലെ വൈകിയ വേളയിലെ ഒരു ആഗ്രഹ മാണ്. എന്റെ Mob.88387 68753. നന്ദി.

Somebody wrote a book " Theory of Relativity without mathematics". Albert Einstein had a chance to see and read the book and admitted the fact, that the ability to put it (Theory of Relativity) in simpler terms is the real intelligence. (It is a fake story, there is no such book, I think) Now coming to the term "melody". melody is something which is totally devoid of the technical jargons of a particular branch of music. A 'Folk' is devoid of the technical jargons of an established branch of music. Have heard of Johnson Master that his "swaranjananm" - the ability to find out the corresponding equivalent of a note in an instrument is of superior standards. Johnson master was a man blessed with a marvelous pair of ears that is capable of detecting the frequency of a sound better than a digital device does. Besides, he was a wizard in notating the heard piece. Nice interview. Ouseppachan, a gentleman, who did not hesitate to admit the superior status of his professional rival Johnson master. Ousepachan is the right man to be remained as a priest. Present day priests underwent a drastic change. Gentleman priests are a thing of past. Nice interview. Both the guest and the host deserve appreciation. 🙏
