MEL TILLIS - "HEART OVER MIND" (1970)
Музыка
Outlaw Radio has a large collection of hard to find, out of print songs in its library. All songs are original recordings. And this is just one of them. If there is a song that you have been looking for and have yet to find, send me a request cause there is a chance that I have it.
Thanks, Snoop Diddy Program Director at Outlaw Radio

Ok it’s 2024 and my grand daughter said she didn’t like country music in return I I told her that’s ok one day you’ll grow up !
Classic country the way it was meant to be!
now this is country music........love mel...thanks guy for the best music and the memories.....bless.
One of Mel's best..
I was a young kid listening to this one with my parents, absolutely a great singer he is.
Great music mel Rip
He is so good! He was very sick last year, Sure wish I could see him one more time. One of the best singer, songwriter and entertainers ever. I love him!
Paid $4.50 to see Mel play the street dance at Cowboy Homecoming in Pleasanton Texas, summer of 72. Kept that stub for 15 years or so, he's one of the all time greats for me.

What a funny and awesome star Mel was!..... May you rest in peace sir, and when the chorus as called up yonder you'll be there.
Mel tillis is my favourite country singer
A hit from those great days when one couldn't tune up and down an a.m. radio dial in Dallas, Texas and NOT encounter a Mel Tillis song!😃 (Thanks, Mr. Tillis, for leaving something behind besides your bones, which most of us, unfortunately, are constrained to do.)

Kathy Jones he always had twin fiddles with him. He played at the V.F.W. in Jackson , Ms. in 1974 ( I believe it was). He had like a eight piece band with a horn section. He put on a great show! Unlike this junk that their putting out today!
First concert I saw when I got home from Vietnam and boy what a show.

Great song;-)
Mel was the real deal!
Would have liked to hear him and Ray Price do a duet
Howse, you know real country music, which is CANNOT be confused with that, washed out, limp wrist, hip hop wannabe shit they tragically call "country " today. THANK YOU, sir!
RIP
Rip mel
yeah and poppa singing harmony but then he sang on almost all of Melvin's records till about 83 or 84
@Lilearlsinks This harmony is hard to match! You would have to go all the way back to Ray Price and Van Howard to even come close! This is one of my favorite songs from my high school years.
where is the dance floor
I love you so much that I can't leave you Even though my mind tells me I should But then you make me think you really want me Then all my thoughts of leaving do no good You've got me heart over mind, wear it all the time Knowing you will always be the same You're keeping hurting me, I know But I just can't let you go 'Cause my heart won't let my love for you change **************** Now, friends tell me they see you out with others And in my heart I try hard to forget But you come home and tell me you still love me And I still hope there's some chance for us yet You've got me heart over mind, wear it all the time Knowing you will always be the same You're keeping hurting me, I know But I just can't let you go 'Cause my heart won't let my love for you change 'Cause my heart won't let my love for you change.....
