For that price you can build a gaming pc. It's crazy, no sense.

These SBC boards are very niche specific, so purchasing a minicomputer would mean you are looking towards Windows and possibly Linux operating systems. But for those interested in Android compatibility, the ARM chipset would be 100% compatible in comparison to Intel or AMD x86 hardware that wasn't designed to run on Android. So like I said you must really have a niche interest in Android and ARM high-performance computing to want to purchase this.

These days we have to take everything with a pinch of salt. Meaning sometimes we watch other reviews and get really excited based on how the review was crafted, and there are also other factors that can determine how a review is done such as sponsorship. However, my belief is in order to help everyone including viewers, potential buyers, and the manufacturer or brand itself, you must highlight things that matters most especially when large sums of money are concerned. Because it affects me when someone returns to my channel and say I bought this product because of you and either the product did not deliver, or the service from the seller was poor. So to me it's best I tell you upfront so you know what you are buying and what to expect. Thanks for watching as usual.

I am still unsatisfied with SBC boards not having a built-in laptop cooling fan. How hard or expensive could it be to include one. Some of the simplest things that could make a brand or manufacturer lots of money they told think is needed in their product. You can ramp up your CPU clock range to its highest level by simply including cooling fan, do your research and development and release a killer firmware like Ugoos, and set your price so that it appeals to the low to medium class income earners who would see the value and stretch their pockets a little bit further just to get your hands on this product. Sometimes I wish I had the capacity to develop my own devices but from what I have learned it's not that simple to get a product off the ground with everything you want and it, as lots of things are dependent on what the manufacturer is offering, and how compatible it is to get Android/Google features and certification. Another issue is to pay for all the required licenses to get premium features on a device such as, Google Widevine, Netflix ESN, Dolby license, Miracast license, and more. All these can affect the final price of a product.

I could wait so an ARM-Chip to power my Main-PC i for a few months. The Lenovo Tab 11 Pro Gen. 2i is very Close overall. If they lower the Price. But in one or two years I Hope we will see Desktops with ARM-Chips. I have used for years a Laptop with an Nvidia Tegra Chip, and don't understand why these superb Chips don't get more in use.

400$+ and it dosen't do all the high end stuff like dv and truehd+atmos in hw? auch... Would be interesting to see if it can emulate switch games like botw / metroid games etc, if it can and the other issues i mentioned and L1 get fixed this *could* get good in the future.

I believe if you are really interested you would keep your eye out for firmware updates and price cuts, because with a simple firmware update all those issues can be fixed.

do you can recommend any tv box with android 12 with shortcuts navigation bar and top navigation bar as well?

You want to get Android 12 with those features as yet. What I do recommend that comes closest is the Ugoos UT8 and the Beelink GT King II as high-end models, and the Ugoos X4Q Pro and the TOX 3 as medium-class models, and I could not find any low-end models with up-to-date firmware that has a navigation bar or status bar.

Seems I am late to this party.. I just broke the budget on getting a 85inch Z9K.. Sony's flagship 8K TV.. My current TV box solution is the Nvidia shield.. Its showing its age even though it has performed well.. As a replacement, what do you think about the R58x Pro?? Can the R58 play native 8k content from the built in youtube app?? Will it struggle?? Also was there a way to have Netflix running with any firmware revisions?? Essentially, I just want a more robust Nvidia shield like device capable of running 8k with major streaming support.. Let me know if you have any recommendations.. Thx.

I cannot confirm that APK resolution because I don't have and 8K display. It's a 64 bit system and is very powerful playing 8K content will not be an issue. I also have to check to see if they have any recent firmware updates

Hi friend. Looking for a tv box to use only as media player because my Samsung smart tv does not support TrueHD or Dts. So I am looking for a budget tv box up to 90-100 euros, that supports passthrough for Dts, Truehd, Atmos etc and can play large mkv 4k video files. I was thinking of X96 Max Plus, saw your review but it doesn't support TrueHd. I dont care about streaming or netflix etc. Got anything to suggest?

I have not yet tried it but I did have it on the table last night thinking about it after attempting EmuELEC on Khadas VIM4, and the Odroid N2+. I successfully got EmuELEC to install on the Odroid N2+ and I used the BIOS and Rams library from JMachen retro monster and it worked beautifully first. I haven't tried any other emulators. I intended to work on the Khadas Edge2 as I recently received the ARM Mini PC case for it.

Did the jack the price up the last time I check it was $331

468.00 makes this a hard pass. Way too expensive.

Most of these brands usually fall short in the area of firmware research and development. The good news is you have various operating systems on this machine you can try out. I'm just the TV Box enthusiast guy looking for high-end hardware to run Android which I believe will be the most used operating system. Let's see if they are providing updates to improve this model.
