Same thing for me; My fiance is congolese from Kinshasa and Im Cameroonian; I intend to watch all the possoble congolese food recipe I will see on KZread; He is pretty cool and patient with the fact that I don't know how to cook their food yet but his family will make my life miserable if I cant cook food they can eat 😣😣😣

The point here isn't about being perfect in Lingala or French! As far as I remember her channel is about food recipes and for my opinion she is doing an amazing job of trying to help her French and Lingala speakers understanding the content of her videos as requested! But you, on the other hand trying to be MR/MRS Dictionary here, you can't even write POISSON FUMÉ correctly ... S'il te plait j'ai 2 questions: - Au début quand tu vas faire bouillir le poisson et les feuilles de fumbwa à part pour 15 minutes tu le fais à feu doux ou à feu moyen? - Après que tu aies mélangé les feuilles, les épices, le poisson dans la marmite pour faire cuire le tout ensemble quelle est aussi la température? Feu doux ou feu moyen? Merci beaucoup d'avance pour les réponses, J'aime beaucoup tes videos, elles sont simples et instructives, mais le lingala me perd, je ne comprends pas. Tes vidéos sont écoutées par des personnes de toutes nations et le lingala sera un peu une barrière liguistique, vaux mieux rester internationale dans le langage si tu veux agrandir et garder un bon auditoire :) Merci énormément que Dieu te bénisse abondamment ^^

Hey, I really love how you cook your fumbwa, really simple! I had one question tho, I heard there are some fumbwa that are bitter and you have to throw water after boiling for a while. How do you know when the fumbwa is bitter ?, cz I noticed you haven't thrown water from when you boiled the veg at first. Please help . Thank you

Hey thank you 💕 I'm not sure how you can tell if the Fumbwa is bitter or not. Do you buy it fresh or frozen? I buy mine frozen then wash it serveral times and the ingredients I add may be eliminating the bitter taste because when I cook it, it doesn't taste bitter at all.

Well my mom hasn't made it in a long time, and I'm far from her now but I think we used to get the fresh ones not frozen. And I remember her boiling it first than throwing water after that . So I guess it could've been bitter 🤔

You're welcome 💕 I think the fresh ones are bitter, I buy mine frozen, freezing it may have removed the bitterness I'm not sure. When you buy fumbwa fresh, I would suggest boiling it first then wash it and then cook. I hope it helps xx

Great video Elle, I live in London and I have been looking for that purple vegetable you have at your thumbnail. What's the name of it in lingala and English.
