Did you guys know when this film came in 1995 it broke all records and it was the biggest hit of year.

They met when her father let her take a European vacation and they fell in love. Her father made her go to India to marry the other guy so he went there incognito. This is basically an engagement party where the boys and girls tease each other. The other girl is the grooms sister so kind of like a bridesmaid. One of my faves!! Definitely watch the whole movie, the song will mean so much more.

DDLJ ❤️ ....of SRK and Kajol is one of the favourite movie for many Indians .

Yo Nick. Yo Jodi.. ssup :) Nick is right. The old songs are more modest and lyrically beautiful while the newer songs have no lyrical value and it's skin show mostly. Coming back to the plot.. The red girl likes Shahrukh but Shahrukh likes Kajol (the girl in green). Of course he can't show his feelings for a specifc reason so he is subtle.

2:36 Dil walay means people who are capable to love. People who are lovers. People who appreciate love. People who have open hearts n warm feelings. People who are courageous. Pèople who are passionate. Yes "dil walay" is used in all these context.

Lata mangeshkar sang the songs of this movie in the Age of 65.. This is just Incredible.. Lots of love and respect for you Lata Jee ❤️

I'm not from India, I'm from America. I started watching some Indie movies especially SRK, and Kajol. Both king and queen of Bollywood. They are the most romantic couple I've ever seen. Is it true that Kajol, passed away of COVID-19? I hope it's not true. Praying for her! 🙏🙏🙏♥️

Its a long movie but you should watch it.

I see no one answered the question asked. Dilwale means of "people of big heart". It's not a straight up translation but it as as close as it can get. Yeahhh, u got that right. This is the pair of Bollywood. People might argue different pairs from different era but this is THE on screen pair that defines Bollywood. Bollywood is pre DDLJ and post DDLJ. I gotta tell u...there are shitty lyrics throughout Bollywood from all eras going back to 50s till now 2020s. The issue is the shitty lyrics with good beats are now permissible whereas to become a hit song, u need to have good lyrics with good beats in this 90s era. There is where songs shine the brightest and they become timeless ❤ People had a bit of an issue with the female playback voice being a bit older than the female character in the movie. I personally don't care abt it and so does most of us. Lata Mangeshkar who was an Indian legend singing songs from late 40s to 2010s, she was absolutely amazing but there was a thing that the singer is 60-70 yr old giving her voice to a 20-22 yr old girl which was found to be distracting for few people, especially the ones who are listening in current generation or foreign reactors. It seems a valid criticism but frankly we don't really care abt it 😂
