It actually makes sense if you think of songwriting as an art form. It's like a painter saying, "I didn't know how to express how I feel in words, so I made a painting." It's the same thing but with songwriting. Meghan is a songwriter, so the easiest way for her to express herself artistically is to write a song.

Jane Wilson I was an audience member. It’s tough to be high energy because u are stuck in a line outside for hours in the heat and u have to dress nice so ur uncomfortable and a lot of the times the person trying to bring the energy up doesn’t do a very good job and the breaks they take are just awkward lol but we did our best to be high energy
