Judging by the huge outpouring of negative messages, I’d say that Americans quite rightly feel miffed and offended by her and her actions. I think rosamorada7545 put it very well indeed when she wrote : “we can’t stand her”. Personally I can’t stand her either … and this was long before she started showing her true colours. I think Americans must really be sick of how she is behaving . She certainly doesn’t represent any Americans I have known over the years. In fact I’d go as far as to say she’s unusually nasty underneath all these false smiles.

I’ve always loved the Royal Family, especially Diana, of course. I am so heartbroken to see Harry become an empty shell of his former self and I blame it ALL on Meghan. I wish he had never met her. 😢 And yes, Meghan was VERY disrespectful of royal tradition and etiquette. She made me feel second hand shame as an American. 😣

His ridicule of the disabled matron at his school, the mockery of his first sexual partner, documented abuse of horses, and insults of the U.S. Constitution (while a guest in America), and racial epithets, etc. tells me all I need to know about this spoilt man-child.

I was appalled by the level she lowered herself to, in a pathetic attempt to lift herself up. I was appalled that she would suggest that most Americans would understand where she’s coming from. Appalled that she has no problem embarrassing her husband, and publicly mocking him, his family, and his home. Elizabeth was not my queen, but one who had earned that small courtesy. I will never claim Ms. Markle as one of ours, and would never expect England to welcome her back. As an American, I was embarrassed and humiliated by her actions. She epitomizes the very origin of “ugly American”. I’m saddened that Harry got caught in her web.

IMO There's no way they did not rehearse this clip before airing it, which means Harry must have approved of it.( I They rehearsed the OPrah interview also).😖😖😖😖😖😖 My interpretation of Harry's facial expression is one of glee, he couldn't even hide it except by looking down finally. Thw look Harry gave her appeared to me to be a moment of realization. I wouldn't be surprised her lack of deference was attractive when they met.. but the look on Harry's face says he got way more of it than he bargained for. First Meghan's exaggerated 'curtsy'/bow... but the mocking way she says "Pleasure to meet you" to the woman who is not only queen but grandmother. When she said, Americans will understand this, I said out loud, "No, we will not!" I was embarrassed that an American would be so disrespectful, crude and insulting not only to her supposed beloved's grandmother, and an older woman, but a woman who was also the revered queen of a nation. To think anyone would find that amusing or clever shows a mental abberation. My opinion of Harry sank to the bottom when he did nothing.

As a very proud Canadian, I found this display so incredibly disrespectful to Her Majesty and the whole royal family.

I used to be friends with one of her then classmates who entertained us with anecdotes of her performance in school. I am an American, I’ve lived here all my life but my Granny immigrated from Scotland when she was a young teenager and she never lost her pride in the UK so I have always had a deep respect for the Royal family. What Meghan did, acting like a moron and trying to take the Queen with her, was disgusting. How she can say she loves her husband but make a fool out of he and his family, because she thought it would get a laugh (she was VERY wrong), is beyond me. Eventually, if he doesn’t already, he will resent her for manipulating him and destroying the relationship he had with his family. As an American, I am embarrassed that someone so lacking in character, who is truly vile and narcissistic was presenting America in such a bad light. It took a while to convince people that not all Americans are like her and we do show respect for traditions of other cultures and countries. I think the RF needs to be more vetting before allowing vipers like her to slither into marriage with senior royals. Perhaps they should have required meeting the Markle family first. That was strange ONLY her mother attended and a lot of celebs she never met? Why wasn’t that looked into?

Honestly as an American I found her embarrassing. I can't imagine how insulted the UK people felt.

Let me give you my point of view as an American. At first I liked her and thought it was great that an American was marrying into the BRF. I had never liked Harry as I always found his behavior disturbing such as: Vegas and dressing up like a Nazi to name a few. However, when I saw Meagan’s behavior on Netflix, to me, it seemed like a planned slap in the face to Harry’s family and to him as well. Since this was done in front of a camera her actions were deliberate and possibly rehearsed. My first thought was that she had no respect for her husband and didn’t like his family. When she said, “Americans will understand this…”I thought to myself “No Ma’am, we do not understand your cavalier disregard towards your husband or his family and you are being rude” This truly was Meagan’s fall from grace.

I agree she has gone down as the only one in the world to insult the Queen . Unforgivable

This was the moment that finished it for me. The Queen had died 12 weeks before. I have never been more disgusted. And the other red line for me, was the outline of the recording device on her dress at the funeral and the spying of a tiny microphone attached to Harry’s suit at the funeral. I was a bit sceptical to all the rumours until then, but when they were spotted and the looks of disgust on all his cousins and uncle and aunts, that finished me. He professed to love his grandmother, but then utterly disrespected her and all she stood for.

For me, Meghan Markle’s reputation crashed during her Oprah interview, her disrespect for, and spurious allegations against, the Royal Family, were all too abhorrent. Mocking her curtesy to the Queen confirmed my lack of respect, indeed dislike, for her.

I agree with you. The Oprah interview should never have happened, but doing it while the Duke of Edinburgh was gravely ill was unbelievable. To say the family are racist then retract 2 years later and to also say they were against her getting help for her mental health was equally unbelievable. I don't doubt she struggled with so much life change so quickly, especially considering how troubled she was prior to entering into royal life, but to say the royal family was willing to risk her death was outrageous. Don't believe anything she says. The mock curtsy was the final nail in the coffin for me.

As an American, it’s offensive to me that she uses being an American as an excuse to ridicule the British Royal Family. We’re not all such rude, ignorant ppl! Can she truly be so stupid that she doesn’t understand that meeting the queen was an incredible privilege? And for Harry to just sit there-complacent-is unbelievable! As an American, but the offspring of an English mom and grandparents who came to US in 1920s, I literally gasped and didn’t exhale for a bit when I saw that disrespectful display!!! Yes, I was done then. I’m an older lady who was 3 when QE was coronated. She was a beautiful part of my life for all her 70 years on the throne. I visited England three times with my family who came from there to see my heritage. In my opinion, she is a disgrace that H has brought to the RF. Can you even FATHOM Princess Catherine acting in that way!?!?!?

What is gratifying is the sense of outrage from Americans, I'm a Brit who has lived in Australia for many years now, I never even saw the Queen, but I miss her terribly, I know she took her duties very seriously. After 911, she requested the guards on parade at Buckingham Palace, play the American National Anthem, in solidarity with our closest ally. Wow! People were crying, Brits were comforting the American tourists there, telling them, hey! We're with you, we feel your pain. I am from the U.S., and I turned against them after the disrespect shown in the Oprah interview. I had never seen this clip from their documentary, only heard about it. It is horrible. If she had qualified this by saying she was nervous, it would have been different, but she didn't. When you go to a foreign country, you respect their culture. When you marry into a family, you respect their traditions. When you marry into the RF, the same principles apply but to a much higher standard. Her arrogance is off the charts. Harry obviously did not think it was funny. There isn't even a hint of a smile on his face.

I agree 100%. When she said that Americans would understand, I knew something really bad was about to be spoken. I have to admit that I ended up being shocked by how disrespectful and contemptuous she was. It was the turning point for them. All of their lies, Harrys perversions in his book, the cruelty to their families, .....all for jealousy and greed and bitterness....paled compared to that moment when she mocked the Queen.

Regardless of what the context is, imagine mocking the time you met your husband's beloved, dying grandma on Netflix, and clowning his family's traditions while he is sitting there. It's inhumane. That recollection being an insult to an actual whole country is taking it to the level of absurdity and viciousness. She was trying to make him ashamed of his family and their customs, as if he was somehow less worthy than her because he is a royal. The delusion of a narcissist.

She was camera appropriate until that moment, but then real Meghan snuck out. I was embarrassed for her comparing the British Royal Family to "Medieval Times" theatre, but then her overly exaggerated curtsy and mock greeting to the queen was appalling and Harry clearly thinks so as well. Atrocious

I’m Australian living in the US. I saw QE2 in her carriage riding down Queen Street in Brisbane in 1953……and I have loved and respected her ever since. Harry shocks me with the choices he’s made, and Megan disgusts me……

That moment solidified how much of a bully she truly is, she verified it to the whole world. She, and no one but she, told on herself in that instant.

What Megan did to disrespect the Queen and Britain was appalling and shows who she really is.

Harry sat there and let her disrespect his grandmother. He is just as bad. Im an American but this was unforgivable.

I was horrified at her disrespectful behaviour and immaturity. She doesn’t speak for Americans, she speaks for her miserable lonely self!! A dark hurtful comment to many of us.

Arrogant and disrespectful from start to end. The other unbearable moment was them in the Queen's childhood playhouse laughing and filming. They didn't get permission and that was the Queen and Margaret's private play house. These are not nice people IMO

I truly get you and agree with you! I was horrified when I saw this act of Meghan and I thought it was a total disrespect, not only of the Queen, being a Queen, but her being the Grandmother of Harry. From that time on, I felt sorry for Harry and their children.

There were so many times for me. I remember seeing her for the very first time & noting (in November) when she was not wearing stockings/tights in that first out-of-doors interview. I just put that down to inexperience. Then came the engagement interview & it waved many red flags that truly alarmed me. It went downhill from there. At the wedding, "Tiara-gate", her behaviour on the balcony where Harry asked her repeatedly to turn around and face the populous then Oprah... That was it for me. It makes me feel physically unwell to recall how cruel she was towards our late great Queen while her husband lay dying and that this cruelty and spiteful behaviour was continued, probably driving her into her grave a little earlier than she was destined. The mock curtsy was my "thank you" moment. I felt she had, at last, revealed her true character. As with naming "Invisabet" I believe a whole lot of manipulation went on behind the scenes. I'm sure that the unSussexfuls did NOT ask our Queen's permission to use her pet name from childhood but more inclined to believe that she was asked if they could name the child "after her", which our Queen would have assumed to be Elizabeth. I am sure this is the truth as it is a well-known fact that HMYQ made it known that the use of Lillibett died with Prince Philip. I saw it reported from several very credible sources that she expressed her wishes that nobody referred to her by that personal and special name in the future as she wanted it to remain sacred to the times she shared with her husband. Frankly, the unSussexfuls have done far too many things, burned every bridge they trampled over and then marched the hell out of every travesty to even be considered repentant and deemed forgivable. Rightly so imo.

Her mockery was not just gratuitously offensive, it wasn’t just grossly disrespectful - it was malicious cruelty for her to ridicule, with gleeful delight and in front of a worldwide audience, a gracious old lady who had devoted her entire life to duty and service for our country and the Commonwealth

This absolutely was the defining moment and, in those few seconds, Markle showed the real, ugly, spiteful, mean and downright mocking self. Steam comes out of my ears each time I see that clip. How dare she!

True and made worse by the fact she is a 40 something year old woman who is always banging on about kindness. Old enough to know better.

Everyone who has met her has said she has no discernable sense of humour, but for some reason she seems to think she is hilarious when she does this. I'm astonished that the producer/Harry/anyone on the production staff, actually let this go into the film. That was the time Harry should have slapped her down (metaphorically)and not allowed this to happen. This disgraceful performance turned the whole world against both of them.

It was all made up by people's who're spreading lies and made up story for benefits to get money from british rightwing tabloids.

I’m an American but I’m very interested in the Royal Family and British TV. My daughter and I were absolutely disgusted by Meghan’s disrespect. We joked about how we would get a book and find out all of the protocols - and curtsy to everyone, including the wonderful guards with the big hats!

It's very clear to me that Meggie did not study British history, policies, rules but esp. her insulting mimicking towards the queen.

I think she thought she was being funny and people would find her endearing. However it actually comes across as mocking, disrespectful, rude, uncultured and insulting to a culture, a people and her husband and his family. It showed her lack of awareness and insight on many layers.

That's why she smiled when she did it. She wears her smile like a weapon and in this instance, she used it to try and portray it, as all in good fun when she resented everything about it. Passive aggressive shadow boxing. She's a toxic narcissist. Anyone who panders to these two completely vacuous, backstabbing characters is their target audience.

Younger so in her late 30. I believe 36 years old when she meet the Queen. That she was unaware how to curtsy respectfully. When she did it in the TV show she was in with alot more respect and dignity and episode aired before she met harry or the queen. What she did in this was straight out disrespect and mocking. I believe she wanted to be seen as funny but her comedy timing needs a lot of work.

Completely appalling! I was actually proud that Harry was marrying an American woman but I never expected her to be so disrespectful to her husband’s family. Yes I have been to Medieval Times and not once did I remotely connect that to the British Royal Family! Her statement that “Americans would understand” does not apply to the majority of Americans. For shame Meghan!!!!!

I’m an American and didn’t watch it but saw this clip many places later and the look of humiliation on his face told everything. And yet he still supports her nonsense. He’ll pay for it.

And to think the Queen was going to see this because no one knew she was going to die. How disrespectful

Hi my name is Connie. Yes, I am agree 100%. I have being talking about this moment for a while, and I think that was SUPER DISRESPECTFUL FOR THE QUEEN!, specially. I even think that Henry was not ready for this moment, you can see his face. She was horrible !

She is a bare faced liar! She did a curtsy in Suits. Plus, Sarah Ferguson showed her how to curtsy. Plus, she did a blog on her Tig site all about Catherine and Prince William so she definitely knew who Harry was. And she would have seen Catherine curtsy to the Queen, even at that wedding.

As an American, even I found it absolutely appalling that she would make fun of the queen (or anybody for that matter). I didn’t like her from the beginning and this was beyond the pale IMO.
