@@guestguest2030. It was also during the Covid lockdowns and the designer s couldn’t leave their house for fittings. I think the in-house alterations person did the adjustments. The queen looked absolutely thrilled at that wedding.

I think Beatrice's dress was my favorite. In the sense of how the dress itself looks and how insanely flattering it was on Beatrice, but the history behind the dress, etc. Then again I am a sucker for the stories about the past history of things. In fact, the only time I had an actual wedding I wore my grooms grandmother's dress (not a single alteration necessary) & his wonderful grandfather walked me down the aisle. Such lovely people. I'm glad that my crap marriage lasted long enough that at least his grandparents didn't see the end 😔.

Everything about Meghan's wedding felt like a mockery. A dress that didn't fit, the blinding whiteness of it, the over-the-top veil, the ridiculous preacher (a sermon about slavery at a wedding?), that absurd choir, all of it. Just like her mockery of the queen in that docuseries where she makes the bow.

Catherine’s wedding dress was the best Royal Wedding dress ever. Princess Eugenie was a beautiful dress too, showing her scoliosis scar. I’m glad she didn’t go for a veil. Princess Beatrice paid the most amazing tribute to her Grandmother, especially during the pandemic. Perfect.

True. The whites were different shades of white. The dress was a blinding white that didn't fit at ALL, and the veil was more like an eggshell, and it flew everywhere, was way too long. The veil and dress didn't mesh well together at all. Two completely different looks that she put together. Plus, then her hair was a mess. That's the first thing I saw when she got out of the car. I said, "Why didn't she get her hair done"? It was sticking out all over the place. Not sure why she didn't GET her hair done by someone else? She needed some height to her hair, and volume. I liked the tiara, but that too didn't seem to fit well. She didn't wear the entire outfit very well. Not sure why she was so stubborn about not asking for help and not wanting input from experts. That was and still is ridiculously juvenile and insecure.

Markle's dress looked to me like the tailoring staff were so tired of her that they let the dress look like that. It was the most unflattering dress I've ever seen. Her hair was atrocious, and the white color for a 2nd wedding was laughable. The veil made no sense either.

3 rd wedding actually. her first was annulled after 2 yrs. second was trevor who she divorced after 2 yrs. harry is her 3rd. and yup that wedding dress was the worst one i think i've ever seen. soooo badly fitted and that boat neck is horrible even the reception dress wasn't good in my opinion.

True. When I turned on the Tv and saw Meghans dress the day of the wedding, it was a huge let down. The boat neck made the dress look so casual. And the entire dress just didnt FIT her. The entire dress was plain, just a straight, white plain TUBE of a dress. I though it looked like a roll of toilet paper. It just had NO "Wow" effect at all. For all that money, she could have had a spectacular dress, but this was what SHE wanted. Hmmmm. And, her taste in fashion hasn't improved since. So strange.......

Meghan’s dress had too heavy a fabric and was poorly fitted. The veil was ridiculous, especially for a second wedding. If she was going for a minimalist vibe she blew it.

Yes, I remember everyone fawning over the veil, but the dress didn’t do it justice. It just looked like a generic oversized thin gauze veil from a distance. It does look incredible on display though. Her ugly wedding look is actually what prompted me to google my way into the infamous Meghan Markle iceberg. I just wanted an explanation as to why such a pretty princess was sent out in something so abysmal. 😂 All the copycat and inspiration looks that followed Meghan’s wedding wear looked so much better then the original. They took her intended “concept” and improved it. That’s rather unusual lol. I’ve never seen a case where the original is actually the botched version!

A veil for a second marriage seems too much. The entire event was too much!

I think the long veil was just “Look at meeeee, it’s like Diana’s!” Her dress was hideous! Even a plain dress could look good, but number one, it must FIT! Catherine’s dress was stunning! It gave me Princess Grace vibes. So classic and beautiful!

Actually, Megan's dress looked better on the mannequin than it did on her.

What struck me is that Catherine had respect for her tradition. She considered the Queen's feelings in her choices. Skidmarkles dress and look was roll out of bed let's get this wedding done and over with. And smeg wearing a long veil for her 3rd wedding was ridiculous and the way she bullied Princess Charlotte at the dress fittings is despicable

Beatrice's wedding and wedding dress she wore is absolutely my favourite, followed by Catherine's. I was truly disgusted at Meghan's veil, it was even longer than the Queens at her Coronation, and she wore virginal white as a divorcee.The look on the Queen's face was classic, it was not her happy face.

My favorite is Beatrice’s dress bc it was so sentimental, and so beautiful in its original form when the Queen wore it and in its updated form with puff sleeves. Next of course would be Catherine’s wedding gown which was perfect in every way for the occasion and her frame. Eugenie purposely drew attention to her back so as not to hide her scoliosis surgery scar which I thought was great. I didn’t love Meghan’s wedding gown - it did nothing for her figure, but with better tailoring it would’ve been fine. You’re right about the veil but I think she wanted something symbolic (flowers?) embroidered so OK. I did like her reception dress. I think Meghan has a certain image of herself in her mind when choosing her outfits and achieving that image outweighs selecting clothing that actually fit or flatter and she may be thinking just because something is a high fashion designer label it must be right, when often it’s not.

Meghan was told Royal Protocol called for a colored fabric for a divorced bride. The Queen suggested a pale blue and NO VEIL. You can see how upset HMTQ was when Meghan entered the chapel. Meghan wanted St. George’s Chapel sprayed with fragrance, when told no, she wanted air fresheners hung up. When told no, she demanded a red carpet… again told no, then we got into the demands for her choice of tiara. The Queen’s assistants were trying to explain to her that brides marrying into the line of succession don’t wear colored stones. St. George’s Chapel is the private church of the Monarch. HMTQ went there to pray nearly every morning she was in residence. So, if you don’t see a smile on the faces of the Royal Family, they were worn out with battles from Meghan and Harry.

Diana's dress was a Disney princess dress. Unfortunately, it looked like the dress was wearing her, rather than the other way around. She certainly learned a lot about fashion and especially what looked good on her, soon after.

Well she would go to a Paris fashion house. Catherine had her dress made in Britain, so it was easy to arrange fittings. Neither Meg’s dress or any of the bridesmaids’ dresses fitted when they arrived.

My instant reaction when we first saw Catherine's dress was 'Oh, now that's just lovely That's perfect' . My reaction to Meghan's dress was just 'Oh.'

No one will ever surpass the Princess of Wales wedding gown for me…Princess Beatrice looked beautiful and the gesture of using one of her grandmothers gowns is so touching and meaningful but Princess Eugenie blew me away. That’s the best she’s ever looked. Her gown initially didn’t wow me but the more I see it the more I like it. The back is divine. And her tiara was my favorite of any royal bride, ever. It’s absolutely stunning. All 3 of them looked perfect because they were true to themselves and were genuine. They weren’t just playing dress up with designer clothes like Migraine was….

I watched harrys wedding and was speechless when i saw the pure white ill fitting dress with the hideous train..and the ceremony itself was hilarious, no seriousness and only her mother there with loads of strangers it was ridiculous

You probably know, but just in case, I had read at the time that part of the reason Eugenie chose that neckline/back is that it showed her scoliosis scars. She wanted to normalize the scars and not hide them.

I remember hearig that at the time. She wanted to show you should not be ashamed of your scars. She and Jack made sucha a cute coup!e and the tiara was beautiful. (What Meghan wanted, Meghan didn't get!) I still love Catherine's gown the best. It was perfect for a royal wedding of the future Queen. There are prettier gowns but that was perfect for the occasion.

Hi Brit here. The veil took 500 hours to create. It was hand embroidered with the national flowers of the 53 Commonwealth countries and poppies to represent California. I think it was beautiful (but the dress hideous) but I believe the Queen questioned why Markle was getting married in white!. Markle did not respect the generosity of the RF, (attention given to her choices and cost of her wedding) whilst initially welcomed here with open arms. The ongoing disrespect, lies and cruel spite of the Sussex's makes me want to weep especially for the late Queen Elizabeth.

Reusing a gown of QE2 was such a perfect choice in my opinion. It’s my favourite of the gowns because it’s so beautiful but also pretty understated for a royal gown.

When I was in my early 20s, I had an English boyfriend, and we got up at 5am to watch the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Di. It was absolutely mesmerizing. The wedding of Prince William and Catherine was toned down by comparison. It did not have the same level of drama. Thinking about it later, I realized that, in some way, it was a message about their future together: There will be no drama.

I was a 13 y/o kid when Charles and Lady Diana were wed, I remember looking at her dress and thinking wow, that dress is an absolute wrinkle bombed mess. My mom would have told me to wear something else, it was too wrinkled to be seen out in. But Lady Diana herself looked just gorgeous.

I just wanted Diana to be happy and find true love. She deserved it. I think she loved that Dr., but he liked privacy and knew with Diana he’d lose that. It’s very sad.

After Katherine stepped out in her wedding dress everyone wanted their gowns to look like Katherine’s. I’d watch wedding gown shows where women across the western world wanted a Katherine inspired gown. I don’t ever remember women asking for gowns that were inspired by Megan’s look. My wedding gown looked better than hers

I am 100% convinced that she made the designers angry. They got to the point where she was so rude and nasty to everyone, they not only didn't care if her dress fit, they made sure that it didn't! And, no, the veil was all wrong for the dress! (Of course!) She has the absolute WORST taste, ever! She is the queen and of "F around and find out!" While I love Catherine's gown, I still think my favorite is Beatrice's re-use of her grandmother's vintage gown! So beautiful! And, wow! They both looked absolutely stunning in it! Talk about figure flattering!!😮

Pippa’s dress….sooooo beautiful. She did look lovely, just lovely…

I am not a very traditional person by any means, and I was stunned that Megan wore a stark white dress and had a Cathedral length veil. I think this is when her true colours came out. It reminded me of when Prince Eric almost married Usula in the Little Mermaid. The dress, her hair, the whole vibe was Evil Sea Witch. All that was missing was Megan kicking a dog

Yessss! Her expression, even her makeup in the photos during the wedding remind me of Ursula! 😂 Especially the one when they're coming out of the church. Ironically, it was only after her Oprah interview with her silly "Little Mermaid" metaphor that drove home that fact! She thot she was Arielle, but people really saw Ursula in disguise. 😁

There was no reason for it to be such a spectac!e even if it was Harry's first trip down the aisle.. She wanted the cameras and the attention to pave her way to Hollywood. Didn't work as she showed her true colors to soon.

Meghan seems to like to wear things she's been told not to. Don't show your shoulders, check, wear red white or blue at the commonwealth service, wore green hornet dress-check, don't match the color of your dress to your husband's uniform at the military thing they attended before leaving Britain, she wore the same color- check. All this is like giving them the middle finger...for what? Welcoming her to the family?

Catherine's dress reminds me of the one worn by Grace Kelly when she married the Prince of Monaco. The style and fit of the bodice was very similar. As stated in another comment, it would be interesting if you looked at previous royal wedding dresses from the last century, including this one.

@@JulieSkinner777 The top of her dress was very similar to Grace Kelly's. Since the bottom was different from her's I thought that was wear she followed Princess Margaret's dress, or perhaps the train or back. I couldn't find a good photo of the back of Princess Margaret's to see.

The highlight of the royal weddings is bride's arrival and seeing the wedding dress for the first time. Catherine's was so beautiful! The Jordanian wedding ceremony dress shows how stunning simplicity can be. Both Diana's and MM's were disappointing for different reasons. Diana's was of the time and her age - she was barely out of her teens, and they were really selling the 'fairy tale princess' angle in the press. MM's was ill-fitting but also BORING as hell. It looked like a bed sheet. The reception dress was batter, but not the best choice for someone with shoulders like a linebacker.

Completely agree with you Diana's dress. She was so very young co pared with the other ladies here and hadn't learned what her own style was. I think she got caught up in the grandeur of the event. Although I saw it on display at Althorp and have to say it was very beautiful in reality.

When I was a child most homes in Wales had lace curtains. Meg's wedding dress had all the shape and contours of a toilet roll and the vail looked like my dear old Nan's lace curtains stitched together. She was so determined to disregard every stipulation made by our late Queen that she ended up looking like a dogs dinner. (The expression on Her Majesty's face said it all. 'We are not amused.')

Catherine's best accessory is her genuine smile.

I heard that the Queen commented that she couldn't understand why Meghan needed a veil in the first place...what a BURN! 😂

Veil was completely wrong on many levels….civil ceremony would have been suitable considering 3rd wedding at twice Princess Diana’s age…Diane was19..Meggy was already 40…0000ps..Took so many liberties..walking down the aisle by “herself”…totally planned. She was very. Annoyed when Prince Charles stepped up to walk with her…just let her “bouquet” hang…….She was no “”Maria”” from Sound of Music.🫣😡😨🥵😱😱

The Princess of Wales wedding dress was iconic, and will remain forever a favourite of many, it was understated in a very classy way. Many other Royal brides will have beautiful gowns, however they will not be able to hold a candle to Catherine’s gown.

Your analysis is spot on w/ each dress. I finally figured out what Beatrice's dress reminds me of and it is the dress Snow White wore in the old movie cartoon. The Queen's made over dress had a story book quality that was lovely and suited Beatrice so well. And the fact that it had belonged to QE would make it forever special and something to, perhaps, hand down to other brides in the family.

I agree with everything you said. Catherine's dress was beautiful and perfect for her and the occasion.

Catherine is timeless class

No one ever mentions that Catherine's dress had a ribbed skirt. For me that was genius (took my breath away!) and the best part of the many utterly beautiful features of the dress.

Beatrice had the revealing back because of her scars. She had scoliosis (I think) and she wanted to let people know there was no shame in scars. What a girl. ❤️🇬🇧

I loved Catherine's & Beatrice's gowns; timeless chic & beauty. Eugenie's & Pippa's were also very nice. At first I was a bit let down that Eugenie didn't have a veil but in hindsight, she made the perfect choice. That tiara was incredible & didn't need a veil, it was a show stopper all on its own. No wonder Smeghan wanted to wear it so badly. Neener neener, you might be marrying #5 in line to the throne, but Queen Elizabeth had already promised that exquisite tiara to her royal born granddaughter by blood, not some LA born middle aged washed up mattress actress who schemed & swindled her way into Harry's trousers. I heard that the reason why Smeg's dress looked so horrible was because she kept demanding changes constantly, up until the very last moment. She refused to have additional fittings, the last one being months before the big day. She kept throwing fits & wanted changes but didn't bother to show up for a final fitting. Ridiculous, but I'm glad it turned out so badly. She THOUGHT she was Princess Ariel on her wedding day, but in reality she ended up looking like Vanessa/Ursula instead. I also heard that the Queen wanted her to wear a more appropriate color, considering she was already a divorcee. She showed up in that blindingly white dress much to the Queen's surprise & disapproval. The veil was just her trying to cosplay Diana again. She knew she couldn't do a 25 foot train like Diana's dress so she went for an over the top long veil. Something that's reminiscent of Diana's iconic gown, but in her own (non existent) style & delusions of being a modern independent woman. She made a fool of herself for all the world to see - Bravo, well done! 👏😆

I have always disliked Princess Diana’s wedding dress. The color, the style, the size. It was awful and didn’t fit her well at all. From the neck up, she was stunning though. Princess Eugenie’s dress was such a thoughtful, economical choice. She looked very princessy in it!! I just thought she wore the wrong tiara for the dress. Princess Catherine’s dress will forever be iconic. Classic, perfectly tailored, and perfectly appropriate for the future Queen consort. Meghan’s dress could’ve been pretty with a softer fabric and better tailoring. I still don’t love the style, but you can’t dress for everyone. I also thought the color was a bit inappropriate. Few people can wear stark white (my daughter’s dress was a subtle blush), but it did her no favors for her coloring. Especially for her third marriage. The veil was the worst of her ensemble because it felt like she was mimicking Princess Diana in a way. So over-the-top and unnecessarily gauche (and yes, I felt that way about PD’s too!). A simple veil (without a blusher) that fell just past the waist would’ve been more appropriate. A neat updo would’ve helped too.

Someone commented that at the time we all swooned over the Sussex dress - not so. All the people I watched the wedding with were underwhelmed and rather disappointed.

When I first saw MM in that dress I said, Ye gads, why on Earth did she wear a sack dress? My guy friend laughed at me and said, "Let the $hit show begin." I didn't know that he could tell the future.

Catherine’s dress was so beautiful and it is also very French chic , as well as a tribute to the British Royal family. You’re right, about the strapless wedding dress being the modern go-to for most brides today. Meg looked as if she took a plain white tablecloth and cut it and sewed it herself.

Catherine, The Princess of Wales’ dress will always be my favorite, followed by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s wedding dress. Beatrice and Eugenie both were very beautiful. You are spot on about Meghan’s veil. The dress was absolutely boring.

Quite a different marriage when the bride isn’t a stalker

I had the privilege to be at Buckingham Palace when Catherine’s dress was on displayed. There was an accompanying film on the production of it. It was so interesting.

Catherine single handedly pulled us out of the generic strapless satin era. 90s-00s was rough for wedding wear. The romantically timeless revival spared a lot of women from unsightly wedding portraits. I also appreciate that it was rather “modest.” The trend opened up a new wave of classy designs. The classy whimsical wedding looks of this era will go down in history imo.

At that time my mother had a shop that made custom wedding dresses. She came home one day and said,”why does every bride want to look like a hooker. Too much makeup, too much lipstick, dress cut to there, both front and back.” She was something else, my mother.

My cousin was getting married when the strapless look was in full swing. She wanted a more modest look that covered her chest but was striking out. Luckily her mother had saved her wedding gown and with a few minor alterations it fit my cousin perfectly.

You’re so right! I particularly remember a cousin’s wedding during that time where his bride wore a hideous strapless gown. She looked like an overstuffed sausage casing and I felt embarrassed for her. Like no one cared enough to to tell her “this doesn’t work for everyone.”

I got married in 1998 and had a Catherine-ish dress, but with more of a ballgown skirt with organza and fitted up top with long sleeves and detachable train. Everyone else was getting married in A-line strapless dresses (and that's fine). Right now it's mermaid style everywhere. When a close friend got married a few years ago, she had a hard time finding a ballgown style dress, but she did finally find it.

1981-82/ post Charles and Diana's wedding, it was NEAR impossible to find a dress than wasn't a blessed meringue confection. Luckily I found one that only had a 1metre wide hooped petti-skirt under it.

Nice breakdown of the various wedding gown looks. I agree with your assessment. As a contemporary (in age) of Princess Di, I can attest to owning a Vogue pattern version of her wedding gown in green satin. It was beautiful, but rather voluminous. MM’s reported behavior leading up to the wedding was so cringe worthy. No one with manners behaves like she did. You don’t have to be in the aristocracy to understand how to act graciously. She has never,then nor now, shown gratitude for anything. Consequently, it’s easy to find fault with almost everything she does.

Absolutely agree with you. Her behavior was totally ridiculous. Harry should have left her at the alter. I don't think anyone would have faulted him after all her bad behavior! Oops...silly me....that was after he lost his mind. I guess that needed to happen after the first date but before his mind was totally gone. What a truly obnoxious person she is.

I was always so sorry that Diana’s fashion, especially her wedding dress, was immortalized in the 1980s; hands down the worst decade for fashion. Meghan’s veil looked absolutely ridiculous, and in hindsight was a huge foreshadowing of who she truly was. That thing was almost as long as her ego.

Even in the 80's I thought Diana's wedding dress was awful, it was really badly creased when she stepped out of the car, her veil was 153 yards long and it just looked like a puddle in the official photographs, the ruffle round the neckline was too much with the big puffed sleeves.

Please! those of us lived through Diana era.start to finish..it was HER style..but was not.meant to be appropriate for Anyone else..designers admitted they didnt know about the size of carriage...but to Many of Us..we cheered the absolute opulence if that gowns incredible reveal as she emerged from the carriage..her heavy veiling was her own statement to emphasize how She wasYoung and new to this Royal Family! PS the designers did some of her most exquisite.ball gowns during her marriage..very Royal...and magical..google it if You are.interested!

I am the same age as Diana was so I was 19/20 at the time of her wedding and I remember waiting impatiently to see the gown. I must admit I was veeery disappointed. She simply drowned in the dress. I agree the gown is iconic but could have been less overwhelming. Just my oppinion.

Pippa as Kate’s MOH will forever be the all time breathtaking dress/fit. Wow!!

First sight of Meg's dress- 'Oh, right, different neckline'..Closely followed by 'Wht doesn't it fit ??' I have friends who got married in off-the-peg dresses, or in gowns worn by their mothers- but they had them altered to fit- even did it themselves in one case. How can anyone who has so much money to spend on a look end up looking as though she'd bought the dress yesterday, not tried it on but just chucked it on that morning ???

My two favourite royal wedding gowns are Lady Sarah Chatto and Princess Anne’s. Simple, elegant and timeless.

Yes, when I saw Lady Sarah's dress, I didn't know for sure who she was, just some royal bride, but I absolutely loved the horizontal ruching and the square neckline. I thought she looked great.

I completely forgot how long Megs veil was! It looks so ridiculous I feel bad no one pushed her on it.

I was star struck by Catherine’s dress, so does my mom. Like you said so well it’s the kind of dress that will remain timeless, I doubt anybody can say that’s an ugly dress. That is the embodiment of the perfect wedding dress imo. As for Meghan, I was also star struck… by the fact her wedding dress wasn’t fitted at all. This is what shocked me the most. The dress was supposed to be a sleek look yet it looked so bulky on her, the skirt especially was so stiff idk it was so frustrating 😂

@@solidflyer286Maybe direct your sewing group to look at the original design of this dress, worn as a bride by the gorgeous Princess Angela of Liechtenstein in January 2000 (She’s an authentically black person) so they can see how dismally M’s copycat attempt fell short.

Meghan was told that she should NOT wear white or have a veil. (this being her second or third marriage. BUT, of course she could NOT follow protocol or instructions. She went ahead and ordered the OTT veil with the Commonwealth flowers embroidered on the edges with the same motif as the Spencer tiara; then sent H to ask if she could wear it. Uncle Charles S said 'no, she's not a Spencer, and not marrying in to the Spencer family' That is why the veil is completely 'out of tune' with the awful dress. Also why HMTQ had that look on her face when she saw M.

If that one's dress looked plain, harsh or hard and solid without interest then it suits her character perfectly

My favorite video so far! Thanks. Meghan wedding dress was a sign of things to come in every way. Underwhelming - unflattering - ill fitted, etc. And the darling flower girls. How could she want them to have sweaty feet wearing no tights - that was cruel. My favorite dresses are Ms. Beatrice and Ms Pippa.

Favorites: 1) Pippa, 2) Catherine. Both were gorgeous! As for MeMe, she looked like she was wearing a toga for the wedding. That reception dress was awful, too. The worst part of the day was that she bullied a LITTLE GIRL! You can see how Charlotte was afraid as she approached the evil one at the altar. Disgraceful!

One thing that needs to be pointed out is how young Diana was. Catherine was 10 years older at the time of her own wedding. Your tastes become (hopefully) more sophisticated as you age.

I totally agree on Meghan's dress. Totally underwhelming and for $110,000? You can get a better fit at David's Bridal.

While Catherine, Pippa, and Beatrice all looked lovely, Eugenie's dress is my favorite and I love the touches of green on the flower girls that match the emeralds in her tiara. The Meg looked like an unkempt, creased mess. What a shame.

I think meghan’s was meant to look chic and minimal but it looked like the material was too thick. I agree the veil looked really weird as it was too long. I liked her reception dress. I liked Catherine’s bolero cardigan for her reception and loved her wedding dress. Loved Beatrice’s wedding dress too!

She had the long long veil simply to mimic Diana as she tries to do all the time. Harry thinks she’s Diana reincarnated and now with hindsight we can see the first steps of that she took to keep Harry deluded. She als wanted the ‘look at me, look at me’ . She looks like she has footballers shoulders.

It’s a tradition of the royal women to recycle an outfit to wear as a wedding guest. So as to not draw attention from the bride as it is “her day”. I think it’s a lovely gesture

Sarah, Duchess of York's dress was gorgeous and very much suited her figure.

I absolutely loved Catherine's wedding gown and that William wore red was so perfect--it really was a pop of color to balance the attention between the two!

I had heard that MM wanted a wedding that was more expensive than William and Catherine's. Since she was thwarted with the emerald tiara, a veil that was longer than Diana's. And she wanted the veil embroidered with the Commonwealth flowers like the Queen's. Not an original thought in her head. Wait, the messy hair was her own idea.

The Markle: The veil- the length- screaming cosplay of Diana. Seriously!

For me, once Meghan couldn't get the tiara she wanted she could have cared less about the wedding gown.

meghan's look is what I call "slap-a-doodle". It screams...I want to be chic...look at meeeeeeee and then doesn't have the patience to do the actual work to perfect it. It is consistent with her inconsistent personality, values, and apparently her podcast work ethic. The veil was a nod to Diana; me thinks.

A wedding gown is not made by the hangers that it hangs from, it is made by the woman it hangs on.

I have to admit, I never thought I would love one more than Catherine’s…and then I saw Pippa’s🤦🏼‍♀️. It was stunning. So I always say that Catherine’s is my favorite truly royal wedding dress and Pippa’s is my favorite “royal-adjacent” wedding dress. I can’t wait to see what little Charlotte wears in 20 years!!

Hello! My absolute favorite Royal wedding dress was Princess Beatrice's. It made me gasp when I saw how beautiful the dress was but how beautiful she looked in it. When I found out that it was one of Queen Elizabeth's dresses it warmed my heart even more. The worst Royal wedding dress was Meghan's, it was too big , the veil was too long and the style did nothing to flatter her. I so enjoy your channel, thank-you.

I remember the first time I saw Catherine's dress, and I loved it. However, I also recall the first time I saw Diana's dress, and I hated it! It just didn't flatter her or fit properly, BUT she loved it, and that's what mattered.

She had been married TWICE before. This was Meghan’s third marriage. First was annulled, but it existed!

Beebs, did you know that the back of Eugenie' s dress was designed to show her scar (or at least not hide it) from her operation as a young girl, to correct her scoliosis. She says "don't be ashamed of your scars." That is a true Princess talking. I believe scoliosis is one of the charities she supports. Also to be noted, her sister Beatrice not only wore the Queen's gown, but also wore the Queen's own Wedding Tiara. That was such a sign of Granny Approval.

Lady Sarah Chatto, Princess Margaret's daughter, wore the most beautiful wedding dress I've ever seen in my life when she married in 1994. It was absolutely gorgeous and so was she! The bridesmaid's dresses were lovely, as well. By far, Sarah's was my favorite gown ever!

I thought Princess Anne’s wedding dress was beautiful. It had Tudor like sleeves that were so unusual and very different for the time. Princess Margaret’s dress was lovely, with her hair done high with the big tiara circling it.

Meghan’s dress is a total reflection of herself…characterless. I always thought it looked ‘unfinished’; the train looks like the designer just cut it straight across and it still needs to be shaped, there’s no detailing to it at all, it looks like a toile & jars with the veil…it’s a blank canvas, I think like she is probably; and yet also a copy Princess Angela of Lichtenstein, because she has no thoughts of her own 🤷‍♀️ And to then insist on that veil, which was totally inappropriate, to have the flowers of The Commonwealth on it and then dis The Commonwealth like she did 🙄…I think M even copied Catherine’s evening dress for her wedding to Trevor too!…Whereas the other dresses are thoughful, personal and having meaning and depth - apart from looking beautiful!

Remember getting very early that morning that special day... And really getting emotional about sweet P. Catherine!! ✨🎉🥀

I knew Catherine was going to be a great addition to the RF when I saw the wedding. She is so classy.

That is the veil of an Empress. HM wedding was offered far more grandeur than it deserved, based on their place in the line of succession.

Meghan's dress was inappropriate for the occasion. The neckline especially was all wrong. Because the Royal Weddings are in the church, and for these churches the shoulders need to be covered, that Meghan's were barely covered is actually quite offensive, and as she was marrying in the Queen's church it was not only an insult to the church but to the Queen. On the drama around Meghan, well most of it is not surprising, but the most interesting one was on the tiara. There are multiple stories, but the first one I heard was after the tiara had been decided on, and it was that Meghan didn't have an appointment and just turned up demanding the wedding tiara for a 'rehearsal' with her hairdresser, she was told no. I remember a number of people wondering why she didn't do what Catherine's hairdresser did for her wedding hair practices and just buy a cheap plastic tiara to practice with. I think that showed the type of person Meghan was, and it makes many of the stories about her in the lead up to the wedding quite believable. Oh, and the drama over the bridesmaids was apparently first reported when someone overheard one of the dressmakers telling her friends about it in the pub! Lesson there is twofold, one don't piss off people because they will gossip, and two don't talk about stuff like that in a pub because it can be overheard.
