My friend tried to make it in Hollywood. She was a young beauty at the time. She was the cousin and niece of two Hollywood a-listers and shared their last name, but didnt tell anyone they were related and didn't reach out to them to let them know she was in town. It was so hard to get the 3 recommendations/vouchers to get her SAG card so she could get speaking roles, despite being quite talented. She did a lot of extra work and non speaking stuff and was a recurring background character on a major show, but just couldn't secure that needed 3rd voucher. You can get in SAG fast tracked if you have a speaking role.(reality tv doesnt count). Megan's dad gave her a HUGE boost ahead of other aspiring actors by getting her those lines on General Hospital. That got her a SAG card and made her eligible to audition for speaking roles. That was a big big deal and makes her, in a very real way, a Hollywood nepo baby.

I think Harry was “blown” away by her performance, but in a different way. 🤷‍♀️

What baffles me is that she is touted as/ touts herself as a strong, independent woman who fights for women's rights. But EVERYTHING she has ever achieved has been via using men. I had grandmothers, a godmother and a whole string of great aunts, all born in the 1880s/1890s who were much better life examples- worked hard, kept homes together, looked after husbands and children and still managed to be smart and even charitable on limited incomes. Their fathers were not in a position to give them much and in most cases their husbands had little spare cash either so they had to find jobs that contributed a few shillings a week extra.
