I remember this story from quite sometime ago, when the Notice was issued. The accusation that I read stated that lead was found to be in an ingredient this brand put in it's coffee products that they import from China. No surprise there. As I hadn't heard anything more about this, I had thought that they complied and sourced ingredients of better quality, yet this doesn't address the product already out in the marketplace. Also, Oprah had given away packets of this coffee to her audience members after she was still on good terms after the diatribe she had with the Harkles present. Maybe, the amount of lead found in the product, which was nailed down to one ingredient, wasn't high enough to cause harm? Anything the Harkles are involved with will automatically include it being hushed up from the public. They are notorious for their use of NDA's, even wanting to serve them illegally on the New York school children when they invaded the school for Netflix content. My question would be, why a Notice like this specifying the sole ingredient which contained the lead suddenly be pulled. This is serious business when food items are accused of containing dangerous substances, so I would think they would have got this Notice 100% correct prior to issuing it. Curious as to whether the Harkles bought their way out of yet another conundrum?🇦🇺

Thing is, a VPN won't necessarily hide your location if you are using a mobile phone. If you have GPS active, an app may use your GPS data to communicate where you are, and if that isn't available, your cell data for an approximate location. A VPN is somewhat more successful on a desktop or laptop computer just accessing the network through an ISP or WiFi.

So they passed Proposition 65 to warn consumers of the possible harm the product could have. They require this warning on the packaging. From what I have read, there are companies who put the warning on the label whether or not it is true just to cover themselves. Also, some do not put the warning on the label because they are not aware that they have an ingredient that would require it. I have seen the warning many times here in Michigan and to be honest I see it so often, that it doesn't affect my purchase or use of the product. I believe there are over 900 ingredients on their list. If I, as a company, made a product containing a compound ingredient I purchased from someone else to use with my other ingredients, I am unlikely to know if it has something in it which is on the list.

Again, this is the second time! Last time was the milk alternative, from China.

Here in the US, if a product contained toxic items than of course they could be sued but more importantly the FDA will get involved and restrict its sale.

I find your implication that using a VPN will hide your location somewhat misleading. Applications which have access to your web browser history and/or the GPS hardware on your phone can relatively easily work our your location, whether you use a VPN or not. I heard that a couple of years ago that there was lead found in the coffee but they rectified it

slightly confused: former spfc-lawyer says "...cannot confirm or deny anything more than the fact of withdrawal." asks for permission from BOTH parties to break NDA. but legal spokesperson for clevr brand opens up about details of withdrawal etc WITHOUT permission from spfc. is this not a breach of NDA?
