That whole tiara’ thing and veil. Saying originally she was trying to get the veils edges to fit the Spenser Tiara’. I like the Spencers, Earl Spencer as well, they seem decent people but I find it really unfair how the Royal Famiyl have been under attack every single time for not allowing Meghan to get what she wanted but no one ever criticises the Spencers. Not that either families deserve it but this goes to show perfectly how Harry and Meghan pay for the biased US tabloids to trash the Royal Family but they don't touch the Spencers because they're Diana's family and Harry has mummy issues, not to mention Meghan's obsession with her late mother-in-law.

@@fanni24 The Spenser family tiara would not have been loaned to whomever Harry married. That’s out of protocol and tradition. It has nothing to do with Harry having mummy issues. It’s just not “done”. A woman wears her families or when marrying a Royal Prince one belonging to the queen or in custody of the queen. Which is considered of higher rank. So Meghan wore a higher ranked tiara.

This all was pre-planned .... 😩 The Queen wouldn't let M take the tiara Princess Eugenie had already been promised (that's when Harry said what his wife wants, she gets & the Queen said, "no she doesn't"). The Queen also let her granddaughter wear a beautiful dress from her personal collection to be married in. Additional lace and beading were added to Eugenie's dress and it was one of a kind, sentimental, traditional, and gorgeous. 😊🔱⚘

@@elale8016 She wore a maternity-style coat to Eugenie's wedding even though she didn't even have a baby bump to show yet, it was so early on in her pregnancy. But she had to make sure that people started speculating that their first child was on the way, to steal the limelight. I think I saw a clip of their Netflix series where they even gushed about how amazing it was that they could thell the whole family and friends that they were expecting -- during the private wedding reception of Harry's cousin and alleged good friend of Meghan. As for the tiaras, I don't know the history of them, I didn't particularly like the green one that Eugine chose but she wanted that and had already asked for permissin from her grandmother, the Queen when Meghan decided she wanted the same one. And the same wedding venue. It was really distasteful of Meghan IMO. She'd already thought she had a right to special treatment just because she was gonna marry a higher ranking royal than Eugenie was -- which is funny because Meghan openly hates the century-old hierarchy of the monarchy but when it served her, she was all for it and demanded it to be followed.

I am sure Meghan had the best people around her, while being in the RF to advise her on what could work for her body type. She should have tken that advantage and learn from them. There is no way she was not given those opportunities, maybe she didn't take them but I am sure she was given those opportunities.

I don't think the Queen would've shuddered if Meghan agreed to split the bill of the wedding, pay half and have a private wedding because that way it could've been justifiable that she didn't have the same kind of wealth as Harry's family so she couldn't afford the same things they did. But no humbleness when it comes to Meghan Markle, she jumped at the state wedding opportunity, demanded Harry's family to pay for all of it and even with the immense amount of money that was available for her, she couldn't manage to get a properly fitting dress... They took care of the whole wedding with several professional wedding planners, everything was taken care of, Meghan's only job was to get a nice dress and show up in time....

She couldn't have a train as long as Diana's, so she went for the vail instead !

She's all about trying to keep up with the new trends but she doesn't have the body or the style to pull them off. Catherine, apart from having a killer body, has an eye and a good stylist for clothes that fit her personal style and figure so even when she appears in an outfit that I'd normally not wear, she looks stunning! Having a tailored dress that fits your skintone, height, etc. can be an absolute game changer. Meghan is never bothered to tailor her trousers not to wipe the floor with their bottoms or have someone fit the dress she ordered online last minute...

The probably had stylists dress them up for the events but she was a nobody and couldn't fight with what the stylist had told her to wear. When she married Harry, she thought she was above everyone else so no one, not even the Queen of England could give her ANY advice -- be it fashion, work or personal.

She wanted someone in her camp to feel indebted to add the experience to their resume. In many ways, she has a “ what’s in it for me?” attitude.

The ridiculously long veil. It wouldn’t have mattered in the greater majority of Anglican churches, but Meghan chose to get married in the personal Chapel of the Head of the Church of England. Any person who wanted to appear at the very least to be worldly and educated would have relinquished the veil as a mature bride on their second wedding. Meghan and Harry both appeared less progressive by adding a giant veil. Meghan could have rocked a Givenchy second wedding dress that would have made a statement about the positivity of second marriages yet she clung on to the old tradition. The Queen and the couturiers in their wisdom let the fools be fools.

Her dress needed more fittings. Her hair was messy. This is probably why Catherine was so stressed out for her because everything was done so low-class.

Now we know why. Four days before the wedding tailors had to redo bridesmaids dresses because only measurements were used. No fititngs. I'm assuming same happened with her. Not surprised Catherine was upset with her her approach to wedding planning Edit. And instead of taking responsibility or at least getting her wedding planner to do the leg work, she wants the moms to be the ones to do this.

The dress was so disappointing..

She is deliberately scruffy in protest at Royal Family dress code. She was also criticised for wearing bare shoulders, white, shapeless sack of a dress costing £300,000! Not appropriate for a 3rd time married older woman! The dress should have been a British fashion designer and the 6 bridesmaid's dresses were also plain and didn't fit. The little girls got blistered sore feet because she wouldn't let them wear socks or tights, as Royal formal dress requires.

My tinfoil hat theory: Meghan chose Givenchy because I think she knew that name will go down in history associated with her forever. Why was it important? She fancied herself a great actress and the only other figure who is most notably associated with Givenchy is Audrey Hepburn. All subsequent Givenchy designs while a working as RF member she wore were Audrey Hepburn silhouettes. The veil having all the Commonwealth flowers was just lip service for the Queen. No one ever saw them up close and I didn’t find it endearing in any way. If a foreigner was marrying a U.S. President’s most eligible bachelor son, and the bride made a veil with Stars and Stripes, I wouldn’t have been touched in any way. Perhaps I would have thought they were being innocent or naive. I would have been like “oh sure honey, bless your heart”.

That tiara deserved better 😢

When I saw the dress I commented " the Dress looks like she made it out of bedsheets." To me the dress looked like a last minute choice. Like she couldn't find anything better, so she settled for the last thing more elaborate. It was too understated.I was not impressed at all.

She looked awful.

It seems Meghans hairdresser was busy that day and a taxidermist did the job.

People have made that point. I think she was formerly married.

It looked like she just got up late and threw herself together.

I think her intent was to look "carefree and down to earth " to oppose other royals with all their formality. Hence ripped jeans during first meeting with William and Catherine

Getting married in a church with a religious ceremony comes with certain "stuffy" traditions. Just like the century-old church comes with a similar scent in the air that she couldn't stand and wanted air diffusers... Willingly wanting to work in one of the oldest institutions in the world also requires a bit of stuffiness. Interesting though how she broke free from the golden cage and yet she looks exactly the same every time she can demand an award or a talkshow appearance. She has to play duchess because she's not one anymore lol

Oh yeah. She looked sloppy. The dress was ill fitting. The makeup far too understated. The hair looked disheveled.

Her hair was done like she was going out to wash her car! The veil was like she was dragging toilet paper out from under her dress!!

The hair was terrible. She was married before 10 years in the relationship and then she wears blinding white and the big vail terrible. She is a divorced woman.

The problem is that in her former job she did not require clothes at all. She has no idea what looking smartly dressed actually is.

I was speechless when I saw her on her wedding day, it’s hard to believe that with the amount of money, designers, makeup artists and hairdressers at her disposal this was the final result. The dress looked like an off the rack that didn’t fit properly and her hair looked like it took all of 5 minutes to put up. She has a talent for making very expensive clothes look cheap.

I thought it was the most boring, strange-looking wedding dress ever...why was it bunching up in weird areas? And it was tailor made by Givenchy! Yup, her hairstyle was coming apart during the procession. And she placed so much importance on that veil - something about wanting all the Commonwealth flowers on it🙄 She wears very expensive clothes but everything always ends up looking so cheap on her...

I don't mind the hair. Her dress didn't fit her right.

The hairdresser flew in from Paris 🤣🤣🤣

I can tell you what most likely happened. She wasn't happy with her hairstylist hair style for her that day and tore it all apart and did it herself. Btw didn't she fly in a hair dresser to " work on her hair with the supposed tiara she was to use"? Yep, go figure. My former sister in law is a major narcissist. On her wedding day my cousin who is and was a hairstylist, for free did the biotches hair and it was beautiful. We were told she was having hissy fits and kept complaining and taking apart everything my cousin did. In the end the Biotch did it herself which looked awful to say the least. NEVER do anything for a narcissist. All they cause is hurt feelings and mayhem. So, THAT is why Farkles hair that fatal day looked like a Bat out of Hell.🤣😂🤣

Probably trying to copy Princess Catherine who selects her own clothes (even shops off the rack mixed with designer, but almost always British to support local economy), does her own makeup, & fixes her own hair. That's true class! 😊🔱⚘

if it was just the hair, her attitude is the worse , never mind the hair.....

A one in a million opportunity to have the most stunning gown and a glorious hairdo complimented by the beautiful tiara... as soon as I saw her it was waa waaaaa.. epic fail.. dont get it.. oh well.. moments gone now...

She literally looks like she got up late after having an all night booze up the night before and hadn't had time to shower😆

I’m going to say it, the tiara didn’t fit the dress. It’s entirely too small, too even, more like a bandeau. Her dress was elegant but plain, with a very linear neckline. It would look lovely with height, and structure to match higher up.

I loved the vail and that gorgeous tiara . It made it hard for me to take my attention away to see the other obvious but not so lovely nightmarish train wreck that was about to happen. Could it be stopped before she said the I do’s ? All through their relationship So many signs were being ignored but here at the wedding , so many signs could not be ignored. Fear filled my heart for the Royal family! I just pray to God this doesn’t get worse !

On her wedding day the hair was just put behind her ears and in your first Pic you can't see it.

1.) The whole look would have been better without a veil, 2.) She could have found a nicer dress from David's Bridal, 3.) Makeup and hair were a total mess. Her makeup looked like she wore it over night, and her hair looked like she was cleaning a house, not attending her wedding.

This was the only occasion when Harry was grinning ith a genuine smile.... because the full attention was on him.... otherwise he makes a long face.... very deep hatred for his brother....he desperately wants attention always this good for nothing Harry.

Funny, after the wedding (I remember) ppl said how iconic it was, and how better it was Than Kate's. That this gonna end up in history or something. I tought It was too basic, but that is all. Also Kate's dress created a trend, hers haven't.

I way bit surprised how bad the dress was. I thought she would look amazing but it really didn't work out. She seems to have gone away from having her hair like that these days. She clearly doesn't encourage or take advice.

Apparently it was fake. There are many stories circulating that the Queen had the real tiara substituted with the copy (most Royal jewels have a copy) because Meghan had already borrowed some jewellery and "lost" it...........
