I don't think Ellen was exactly cancelled. Her ratings have been dropping for years and I believe it was because of her arrogance. You could tell she was trying to belittle big stars that the public loved and made them visually uncomfortable. The show also had a trash factor and that didn't help.

I remember reading an interview by Caprice when it came out Harry and Meghan were moving to LA, and she said he'll find it difficult friend wise because he's always had genuine friends but he won't find that in LA/Hollywood, it's who can what for who. She said she'd made more genuine friends in the short time she'd been in London than all the time she'd spent in LA. Paraphrasing there but that was the gist of it.

Prince Philip was a Royal in his own right by birth. Circumstances changed his direction but he was never a spare. He quite correctly walked behind his wife, the Queen, and he was perfectly fine with that. I believe they had a very happy marriage and my favorite moment was when he dressed as one of the guards and she walked by, we don't know what he said but she had a giggle over the whole thing! That is a happy marriage.

No idea why you judge Prince Philip so harshly. He knew when they married what the situation would be and accepted it. They were both shocked when her father died relatively young and had to adjust, but they had a very loving relationship and family life. He did comment at some point that if he came within 5 yards of a woman the nasty rumours mongers would jump in to action to spread salacious gossip. Nothing has changed there!

That pen was a Parker 51, the pen of the late Queen, Eisenhower, and the pen used for the surrender of the Nazis…history. My dad carried one on active duty and I bought a nice Parker 51 with a converter and cartridges. The down side of fountain pens is you have to check them frequently..and that was the wrong day for the leak.

To then sit, likely near complete exhaustion; with the surround of people and the barrage of paperwork and attendants giving him direction and his own internal emotions and energy utterly depleted; to have a stupid pen blot onto the historic documents he was signing, would push any human to “the brink”. Neil my friend, if a actor, comedian or celebrity are rude to fans they deserve to be cancelled. Fans make these people, the regular people are the ones spending the money to see them. There is no excuse.🇺🇲❤️

I was thinking of "Pengate" and King Charles just the other day. How very sad it must have been for him. Knowing that the sole reason he was even signing was due to his mother's passing, anyone's frustration level would be "a hair's breadth". He could not publicly cry, but irritation likely was the automatic replacement. (Grief affects us in strange ways.) Very sad that so many could not be a bit understanding. ❤❤

it was an American show aired on USA. Like many American shows it was filmed in Toronto.

People forget, Charles had just lost his mother. I'm sure a lot of his anger at the pen, was grief related.

I totally loved the pen moment. It is how most of us would respond

I was incredulous over the pen situation. How was it that the set up was so awkward for a King who was expected to sign the most important document ever. I was watching it real time and thinking whoever placed the pens in front of the document were incompetent.

Ellen DeGeneres has nothing to fear on her comeback show. She has to just follow Spotify's example by telling the whole truth about Megan Markle. Spotify spoke the truth by calling Megan a talentless Grifter. She admitted that she is indeed a Grifter so she cannot take legal action. Now she is known as Megan, The Grifter and Harry as Grifter Harry instead of Prince Harry. This is because he cannot be a Royal since Royals do not go about Grifting people. So BEWARE of Megan, The Grifter and Grifter Harry. They have a track record of grifting millions and they are on the prowl scheming and plotting to find the next gullible person, organizations, countries to fool and grift. Being Grifters they are like Scamners operating with the same unethical modus operandi on their Grifting Spree!

Re Pengate. What we must all remember is that the King was grieving for his mother. I’m sure he was on a short fuse having to do it in front of the world’s media.
