That's a bit rude and ill informed. Firstly, although I agree with the First Lady, notice she went to a line and pulled back and rightly so. It was enough to mention the Met and Meghan as she pointed made her remarks against a lack of modesty. She is also annoyed that her country was being used to benefit them vs doing something charitable. Secondly, the RF, the Monarchy is completely different situation. Firstly none of H&Ms requests have been granted. Harry has been stripped of his commands, his patronage as has she. Removed as seniors in every way. The RF has also refrained from responding as that would have given them fuel. They knew that HMs behaviour would be judged on their own merits.
@user-nc9wl8hy5h20 күн бұрын
I respect the First Lady. Not only did she call H&M out. She also had the guts to say out loud. What the rest of us already know.

The problem is that MM didnt just go to Nigeria as an American woman, she went as a Nigerian 'princess' and told the world. So now the world looks at MM and think she represents Nigerian women .. when she actually has no idea about them or their cultures!! She is giving out the wrong messages .. I think this is why the first lady felt she had to come out and say No .. this is not an example of a Nigerian woman!

The First Lady of Nigeria refused to meet with Meghan and had nothing to do with this trip. I think she knew from the beginning that this trip was a shame and that she was not totally honest in her intent. I am an American and I learned in College from a professor who traveled that American's were disliked a lot because of their rude behavior when they traveled. When I did travel I decided that I should learn about the country and try to be as kind as possible. It is not another country that should adapt to my needs. It is interesting that Meghan's problems in the RF are the same here in Nigeria. She wanted to go in and have everyone change to fit her needs. She expected that she should dress her way and be accepted will she not call the Nigerians names and the ist words because they are claiming she dressed inappropriately. She dressed wrong in the RF and did that in the past.

To give benefit of doubt, maybe she wasn't intentionally meaning to be seen as disrespectful. Even Princess Catherine when a child once asked her what it's like to be a Princess etc, she humbly replied that she is still learning in the job and it's a ongoing learning experience. She has also at times not dressed appropriately, and made odd mistakes, but it's all part of learning on the job. I can think of a few off hand, but mostly these days gets it right. In fact she has grown a lot in her royal role, and yet still has a air of humility along with dignity and class. People who failed their driving test a few times before passing it, often end up better and more superiorly experienced drivers than those who passed their test the first time. MM should probably consider wearing Kaftans in tours to African countries that most ethnic tribes wear. Kaftans are loose, with long wide sleeves and flow to the ground, very cool to wear in hot weather and elegant. This will cover her body from head to foot. She can wear a turban or wide straw hat as well for shade. Kaftans are Ideal for casual as well as evening wear. I wore Kaftans a lot when I lived in South Africa and Zambia before that. The long yellow dress MM wire was actually a nice dress, but feel she should have worn a light ethnic patterned shawl around the shoulders, caught up by a attractive ethnic clasp. I actually liked her clothes, just felt some of them were not appropriate for the occasions. Maybe she could consider taking along a couple of light weight pontas to events, just in case what she is wearing is not quite appropriate, showing what may be considered to much bare shoulder, arms etc. She can then just pop it over her head and then shoulders etc covered. You get lovely ethnic designed pontas in Africa. Hopefully she it staff if theirs who go through comments on social medias to do with their tour of Nigeria will see my comments and suggestions.🙂 Maybe when she and Harry go to Ghana they will do better with their dress sense, learning from experience etc. I actually think Harry looked okay, and in hot weather clothes can become a bit creased etc as the day wears in. Maybe he could wear khaki outfits like David Attenborough when in Africa, with a hat and feather lol.🙂

I made the point from the beginning that it was obvious that she had no social training in her background. It’s unfortunate the way she grew up, with no strong guidance from either parent on how to be a person with manners (to be part of a genuine social compact). She appears to be only spoiled rotten by her father and never taught to treat others as she would like to be treated (the golden rule, the very basis of the social contract).

I respect the First Lady. Not only did she call H&M out. She also had the guts to say out loud. What the rest of us already know.
Meg thinks she can con Nigerians...she's out of her mind!

The problem is that MM didnt just go to Nigeria as an American woman, she went as a Nigerian 'princess' and told the world. So now the world looks at MM and think she represents Nigerian women .. when she actually has no idea about them or their cultures!! She is giving out the wrong messages .. Spot on from the First Lady of Nigeria! Those dresses were so inappropriate to wear specially in a conservative country. Also, she looked sick!
The First Lady was scolding Harry and the wife’s hosts and organizers. Meghan should never been allowed to visit Nigerian schools and speak to Nigerian teens and young veterans in those atrocious outfits. The First Lady was appalled that that American was allowed by Nigerian armed services personnel to parade with so much skin exposed and influence/corrupt Nigerian children.

DAYYYYUUUUMMM. Love her - thank you for speaking up! She made Meghan out to be a total clown.

A brilliant speech from the First Lady of Nigeria. I agree with you on the content of the video. She doesn't want the young girls of Nigeria to think that the way Megaliar dresses is normal in an everyday environment. That they don't have to walk around half undressed to feel or look beautiful because they are beautiful anyway.
She named and called out the talentless " Meghan" without any title. Best Roast of 2024 😂😂😂😂

By showing what I believe to be a lack of self-respect, the Discount Duchess and her Chihuahua seemed only to reinforce the beauty and classiness of the Nigerian ladies and the integrity of the RF back in the UK. I did wonder if the Bargain Basement Baggage deliberately set out to shock...to get a male response to her body and behaviour. Well, dearie, that can happen to guys (especially adolescents) over virtually anything, any age.

The First Lady stated what Meghan should have been told by her mother growing up.
Harry's wife insists in fighting for her voice to be heard (meaning do what you are happy with) and she is an expert in disrespecting anyone and anything. Rules of a country does not apply to her, a mere *SUPPORT* actress wih hardly any talent.
What I got from the lady’s speech is that nakedness is not a Nigerian custom and there is no need for it. Nigerian women are beautiful enough and do not need to show their bodies to prove it. Then she asks “ why did Meghan come looking for Africa’ meaning why is she looking for Africa when she embodies NONE of the traditions and customs.
This Lady is amazing. Everything she said was spot on. She saw right through MM. MM is a vulgar, fame hungry, shallow and graceless individual.

They didn't bring ANY gifts, didn't donate, didn't talk about feminism or changing things. Just me ,me, meeeeee
The First Lady eloquently told the world how Meghan and Harry disregarded the entire Nigeria nation -
😮 Meghan purposely wore immodest clothes to purposely contradict Nigerian culture. Meghan WANTS to change rules to her standards. She thought she could change the way the British monarchy operated to HER liking. Beauty is modesty.

at least if she had some brain and knowledge of anything to change anything for better. she tends to change things out of spite, hatred, stubbornness and arrogance, and failing efforts to prove she is capable of doing things or know a thing or two. She knows nothing about any thing in life.
She knew she was supposed to dress modest, but as usual, she did what she wanted to do. That’s her own dang fault.
