And the funny thing is they paid rent to someone and Ajmera building nearby also gave them electricity connection to these people. It is adjacent to the sweeper lane where many illegal activities are carried not only to the locals but also to the tourist who came to Shillong for Holiday

I can't understand why so many Bengalis coming from Silchar Assam are staying in Meghalaya and most of these people they don't want to return back to Silchar their home land, why?? I knew one person staying in Laban who used to say that " Khasi people are targeting non- Khasi every day", but when I asked 'why dint you people return back to Silchar since we Khasis are doing to you like that?' He said that "they were born and brought up here in Shillong". What is in their mind will they incite communalism amongst their group and when they are more in number they will play the victim card and ruin the image of The Khasi Tribe??? No. We won't allow that to happen we will protect our own Land from intruders. Everybody should learn to live peacefully in Meghalaya whether Khasi or non Khasi.
