Good to see original content from you guys, and you hit the nail on the head a few times, but... Megatron's his-own-movie storyboard was WAY too drawn out over this vid and ruined the pacing.

This is a perfect description of how an *actual* villain protagonist story would go. Most ones we get just turn the villain into an anti-hero, or just redeem them.

Despite this ridiculous idea it is, It would be nice to see a movie about the origins of Megatron and how his hate for optimus begins.

There's a new animated Transformers film that is in production about the origins of Optimus/Orion Pax relationship with Megatron before the war began. Chris Hemsworth will be playing Orion Pax. And it makes sense since Orion is supposed to be a young, inexperienced bot that doesn't have the leadership qualities Optimus has.

Full props to Daniel, that Megatron voicework must have been a strain on the vocal chords. But also: if Peter Cullen ever retires, I hope Hollywood knows that they should call John Bailey to take up Prime's mantle.

To add on to this. Chris Hemsworth will be playing Optimus Prime/Orion Pax in that film. Before anyone gets upset, the film is set on the relationship between Orion Pax and Megatron just before the Great War. So it makes perfect sense Peter Cullen wouldn't be voicing the leader role we love. Though I am fairly certain we will hear Peter Cullen narrating the introduction or have a final scene Also Scarlett Johanson is rumored to be playing Elita-One

I’d love a movie based on Megatron if it was inspired by the comics, giving a backstory and actual development to him, going from a miner to an idealistic gladiator to a warlord, it could also be used to show how the war started and how Prime became in charge of the Autobots.

I don't know if I still have it, but I vaguely remember a Megatron origin story in one of the Transformers annuals from the 80s that my brother and I had. I think in that story Megatron was a gladiator back on Cybertron before he joined or founded the Decepticons and the whole war thing happened... I have this image in my head of a moment of comparison between him being cheered by the crowds in the arena and by his comrades on the battlefield

A new animated movie titled Transformers One was announced a while ago. It will be set on a pre-war Cybertron and tell the story of Orion and Megatron’s friendship and I’m assuming their eventual falling out. It was confirmed that Chris Hemsworth will be voicing Orion/Optimus and Scarlet Johansson will be voicing Elita-One

Megatron and Starscream had a dynamic that made the villains fun to watch in the cartoon. That dynamic was missing in the live-action movies.

I'd like a movie, or series of movies, taking place on Cybertron, with Unicron being the moon but that's actually a surprise reveal. Like in the animated series when I was a kid. I'd probably be better off watching that though, idk how well its aged tbh.

Transformers Prime's Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave were the best we ever got. Considering it was made according to the primary audience ranging between 7-8 year old kids to 13-15 year old young teens. If they make a movie for adults, I can tell it's going to be super successful.

Yup, I spilled my iced coffee when Megatron ask about if any Spike was in a Transformers storyline. I am that old XD

All they need is an "Oil Cafe" to sit and talk in and you've got your new re-occuring bit. haha

I would actually honestly love a Megatron movie.

Negation actually has a pretty solid back story that could work as a movie, He was originally a gladiator who hated the cybertronian class system which locks them into specific jobs based on what they transform into. It might be a bad way to explain it, but All in all, it’s an interesting story that led to him becoming what we know him as

Honestly if they do make Megatron movie, it would be great if they made Megatron's rise to becoming the leader of the Decepticons similar to TFP story. Plus... it would be amazing too if we see how Soundwave, Starscream, and Shockwave would meet him too and join the Decepticons.

You said after they got rid of bae as the director they've been handling the actual transformers surprisingly well even a justifiable way to have their cake and eat it too with optimus, and the biggest shocker is how they're not even showing Megatron yet. I do hope we get to see for the crossover whether it's just GI Joe or power rangers gets tossed in

I'm super sad that they didn't make an entire movie series based off the animated series, Beast Wars. There's so much material there to use and you don't have to get bogged down with the human friend.
