It makes me wonder how her father talked to her about networking. Not that she doesn't really know better as an adult, but if her father constantly emphasized how a career and "making it" in Hollywood was dependent on who you know and how you can extend your contacts, that would influence how she sees people in general. Like they're just stepping stones. That's how she's treated everyone in her life so far. (Not that she's going to change at this stage.) Dumping people when they're no longer any use to her is normal and accepted. She knows she's wrong, otherwise why would she constantly talk about being kind, being supportive to women, having dear friends, etc.

32nd week of pregnancy #1 she flies to NYC for my high profile baby shower. 32nd week of pregnancy #2 she is unable to fly to England to visit Harry's dying grandfather. Putred person.

The purpose of a baby shower is supposed to be to help the mother get all the stuff she needs when a baby is imminent which can be an expensive time. This is why until recently you generally would only have a shower for a first baby but not for any following children. It was supposed you already had everything you would need for the next baby.

How ironic that Edward Enninful has now been "transferred" from his position as Editor of British Vogue. Anna Wintour announced that he is being promoted to some obscure position. Ed has caused a significant drop in sales of the magazine. Additionally, ad revenue has been negatively affected. Enninful and Wintour clashed over his decision to have Markle as guest editor. Sadly, Ed allowed his personal desire for fame, by association, to overtake the importance of Vogue's position in the marketplace. I questioned his appointment in the first place. Was it done because he was the best person for the job, or to shout from the rooftops "we are diverse"? I suspect the latter. Either way, it was a disaster. Meghan is not good promotional material. She carries far too much baggage.

Amazing that NONE of the high profile people at her commanded shower are still in her life. Plus she flew when most pregnant women are told not to fly. A no brainer since she wasn’t pregnant

Baby gifts before the baby is born is considered bad luck in the UK. I had a work friends throw me a surprise 'baby shower' at a lovely tearoom. We had afternoon tea with cakes, little sandwiches, scones and tea. Some of my work friends brought wrapped gifts but I didn't open them until after my baby was born and we were back home. It was a lovely afternoon of having a chat and playing silly 'guess the baby name' and some other little games. It was honestly one of the sweetest things my friends have ever done

I’ve hosted a couple of baby shower and one was at my home and the other was at our church. Most of the decorations were Pinterest projects so the most expensive thing we had was a bakery cake. There was no hotel $15k a day hotel suite, no private planes, no publicist, just a bunch of mommy’s showering our loved one with gifts and advice and laughter. This chic is so transparent

Yes it must have been amazing..she had to travel without a Passport since the RF took it away from her..she got on the plane with the biggest bump but didn't look pregnant in the group photo...and coming back it looked like she was in a hurry to put her pregnancy belly back on and forgot a few strings

I’m not going to participate in class envy by questioning how much someone chooses to spend on something. But the location, attendees, & obvious merching is what I have a problem with. This wasn’t a true baby shower full of joy & excitement over new life. It was networking for sure.

Wow! If even the King complained about her spending, then Markle went overboard with other people's money!

When I was pregnant I never rubbed my belly like it was a basketball and I was ready to make a throw. I always rubbed my tummy like I was comforting my child inside. The way she lays her hands on her belly makes it seem like it’s a prop and she’s trying to bring attention to her belly not comforting your growing child, with its kicks and rolls.

Why weren’t guests told to donate to a local NYC crisis pregnancy center in lieu of giving Meghan a gift? She knew everyone would still bring her a small gift even if she had asked for charitable donations be made in her name in lieu of gifts. But no - the day had to be all about her and getting free stuff.

All the attendees went home with ultra expensive goodie bags. It was a look-at-meee event for all involved.

In actual fact Megdusa was jealous of Amal. She wanted to be friendly to the Clooneys for the clout ...in the hope she would outshine Amal eventually. At the time Amal was being lauded by Vogue & Anna Wintour. Amal was regularly invited to Met Gala each year. All that attention is what Megdusa coveted so she forced her way into the magazine.

Baby showers are an American import. I’ve only been to one baby shower here in the UK. Baby gifts are usually given once you’ve had your baby. Gifts given to royal children (outside of family) are regifted to charities.

If you're a member of the Royal family receiving gifts is not done & if gifts for children & adults are given they are donated to an appropriate charity. Meghan didn't like this & was always soliciting free designer clothing, etc & trying not to be found out. For example the diamond waterfall earrings given to her by a controversal middle eastern businessman. This would normally go to the Royal collection & vaulted, if not accepted at all, but Meghan took them and was deceptive about their provenance. I've been loving your channel & am a new subscriber. I cant imagine the Plastic Fantastic is very close to her 2 (!) hairstylists as it appears that she NEVER sees them.

Gave and received many baby showers. A baby shower is more a party for the first-time mother along with a shower of some essentials. Meghan COULD have brought this great American tradition to the UK. I questioned immediately why Catherine was not even invited. That’s your sista-in-law, toots. 🙄

PR Stunt. You got it!! She presents an image to the public she wishes were true but could not be farther from the truth or reality.

We don't do baby showers in Europe. One of my friends was invited to one by some Americans, and she found it both impolite and unheard of that she was demanded to bring a present, because we just don't do that. However, like you said, if it had been somebody needy, I find it a really good idea, if we just could get over that "demanding a present" thing. And as a royal, knowing that her baby would get everything and more, it was totally ridiculous.

That baby shower……how did she get a baby shower with celebrities when she had hardly had time to make friends in USA? I think she had people organise it for her and after listening to you it is obvious….stunningly obvious but I don’t move in those circles. If Meghan paid for any of it then the money came from Prince Charles at that time. He paid their allowance from the duchy of Cornwall. She still had royal protection with her as well so that would have been public funds. She lost me has a fan after the baby shower, it was just to show off wealth for the sake of it.

Probably the companies supplying the gifts and decorations. Such as the Away suitcases. It was a sponsored party. One of the sponsors likely paid for the hotel room as a marketing expense.

I'll never forget the look on the poor guys face (royal security) trying to guard this stupid woman. Seems she switched where she exit at last minute. Choose to go out of the celebrities side door.

Didn’t have them in australia until a few years ago and, to my - don’t know the word to use - ‘ gender reveal parties’ are now popular. I’m sorry, I have been to one but I consider them - another lost word. Trying to be diplomatic here but guess I’m just showing my age. The RF definitely do not have them for obvious reasons which would have been explained to her so she has to go and flaunt it in everyone’s face because she wants American traditions. So, so many ways she could have accomplished that without insulting both the RF and Americans. Every time she says ‘I’m american’ , I can see women of America actually cringe! 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺

I don’t think anyone in the RF have ‘baby showers’. It seems popular in the UK now but it’s a very recent introduction, like Halloween. I’m not sure if I would want to celebrate a baby until it was actually born. My family just have ‘family and friends’ parties. Otherwise a religious ceremony like a Christening is normal in the UK. I’m not sure how other religions celebrate a new baby in the UK.

Its just gross in so many ways. Im a Kiwi of blended cultures, but baby showers are not common practice here. They are usually only put on for expecting mothers very close to birth to provide her with everything helpful that the mother will use. Definitely cringe to put financial burdens on friends if a mother to be is loaded. I personally do not believe she was pregnant and gave birth. Which begs the question...where did the gifts go? .I believe she has barely paid for anything other than her own vanity and ego.
