@@SocraticMayhem Cooler, yes, but they lack Mobily, the Zero Saber I think is better because you can move and use it. both the Hado and Shoryu require full health, and requires you to be on the ground.The Hadoken locks you into place for a few sec, and the Shoyuken, you kinda have to be careful where you use it, if you use it near spikes you fall directly onto the spikes, as you can't cancel your fall..

@@thrashmobin6235 Though I didn't test it,I am sure that getting the Golden Armor upgrade is unnecessary...The needed steps are killing Vile with either the Ray Splasher or the Spinning Blade,then get Zero to fight the mentioned mini-boss...It's fun and satisfying,but if you care a lot about getting a good ending,it's best not to get Zero's Saber,as this will lead to the bad ending...

You don't need to drain all his life with the Ray splasher or the blades to kill him, just finish him off with em. You don't need all the upgrades either to get the sword.

Yes you can also use the Ray Splash move you learn from the tiger. It is actually easier too.

A hint for Doppler labs 2, The red robots in the beginning have a small area where you can stand and you can't be hit cause you too close, but far enough to not be hurt by touching it. It is right on top their cannon when they fire.

TIL you can switch to Zero in the pause menu. It's never mentioned in-game, nor is it mentioned in the legacy collection's "manual"

Actually, you’ve shown a few unnecessary steps. All of the steps are: 1. Beat Crush Crawfish. 2. Find Vile in his hideout BEFORE the doppler stages are unlocked. 3. Make the final blow on Vile using the Spinning Blade (Crush Crawfish’s weapon) and he will officially die. 4. Go into Doppler Stage 2. Before the miniboss, switch to Zero and enter the door. Make sure not to let Zero die before as you won’t be able to use him after. 5. Kill the miniboss as Zero. Zero will unfortunately be unusable after doing this, but now it won’t matter as X can now use Zero’s best ability in X3- his saber

Also, don’t wait until you beat every maverick. Then you are unavailable to save Vile for last. I did that and I had to start all over just so I can get Z-Saber

Damnit. I am on Doppler stage 1 with everything, except I killed Vile with the X Buster. No saber for me.

Chris Best If you don't use saw blades and ray splasher vile is never die you won't get a z-saber. And second vile in Doppler Stage 2. When i got a z-saber because Vile is die and i use saw blades anymore. Now switch to Zero. and get to z-saber. :)

I had everything too, but I died to the miniboss.

For vile ride armor use ray splasher, for his second phase, use spinning blades

Some of the things in this game are able to be found on their own, but there are just some that you need the walk through to help you in the right direction. Otherwise, they're a pain in the ass to find. Like I didn't know about the gold chip 'til I read a walkthrough.

I like how zero just waits for that enemy to land on him and explode

Oh! SN: There are two versions of the saber! Version 1 is the one in this video where when X uses it, he throws the green wave. [That makes things WAY too easy.] Version 2, [which is my favorite], is getting the saber without getting the power-ups for X's arm. If you do that he uses the saber without the wave! It's like how he uses the saber in X6 but WAY stronger. Try it out. I love it! I'll post my password code for it here, when I'm not busy. :D

Hmmm...interesting. I did most of what was in this video but with few more things to get the saber. -Beat Bit with the Ice power [he blew up instead of running away] -Beat Byte with Ray Splasher [he blew up instead of running away] -Beat Vile with Spinner Blade and still got the saber. :D

Thank you I am trying to get through Megaman X3 I didn't know this.

You can kill Byte with the ray splasher and Bit with the spinning blades (i don't remember if it was the spinning blades or the bomb). If you kill both you will be able to different boss in doppler's stage 1.

IIRC you don't need any of the upgrades at all. All you need is Vava (Vile) dead, and Zero in that battle. You can also kill Vava with the Tiger weapon, IIRC.

@MarcioMetalleiro Press the L or R button in the start menu. The one with the powers and such.

A measure needs to be taken with this as well if you want the Gold Armor (no you don't need full E Tanks.) You CANNOT kill Byte and Bit. Do not use their weaknesses first battle. I have done this a few times now and couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to get the Gold Chip. The reasoning I have is killing them will make the capsule disappear. However killing Vile how this dude said and not killing bit and byte will get you both the gold chip and Z saber. Peace all, enjoy MMX3 on the new 3ds if you can!

Micheal Watts uh dude. you can kill bit and byte all you want., you just gotta have all 8 heart (life bar) upgrades + the 4 blue capsule upgrades + 4 sub tanks + all regular bosses defeated + 0 (zero) of the regular level chips (read: don't go into the pink upgrade chambers) and then Doppler level 2 right before you slide down the wall to the secret room with the gold armor you use a sub tank (or 2?) to fill up your life bar to 100% for when you go to enter the secret room / capsule and PRESTO!!!! GOLD ARMOR!!!!! Now if you want zero's saber for the 4th level of charge, when ur I'm regular levels you defeat vile bit and byte with the special weapons they'rr weak against (they'll blow up instead of teleporting away with 1-2 health bars) and then in boss stage 2 (Doppler level 2) you change over to zero right b4 you enter the mosquito helicopter mini boss room doors and defeat thst mini boss as zero, then the mosquitocopter crashes on zero and he gives X the Z[ero]-saber. if you have the gold armor or the arm chip then instead of swinging the sword around X can shoot out green sword laser beams as a third and final level of charge (and he can hold on to thst sword ahoy indefinitely after you fire off the other charges shots. I just did all of this in.the last few hours so I can vouch for the process... it worked for me, and it can work for you too... kids, get your parents permission b4 dialing 1-900-THANK-ME, it's only $1.99 for the first minute and 99 cents for each additional minute. come join.thr most attractive women in Chicagoland as they give thanks and praise for me.... and NOT Jim sterling. raisin bran > corn flakee. X3 has a...way of punishing players who use weaknesses to their advantage. Just don't use weaknesses on Bit and Byte. Trust me.

Still, what madman would go to Doppler Lab without the armor( Especially consitering there isnt an alt part for if you wait like in X1 or Ultimate armor from the Zero virus stage in x5)

@mbahmusalto The lift only goes down if Vile's stage is located on that level. there are two other ones you could try.

Tip: Is not NECESARY kill Bite using Blades, i tested to kill him normally and later defeat Miniboss with zero sword and it works nice! ;)

Yep, you can also use the ray splasher on vile. Also, if you wanna conserve energy, you don't have to take Vile out fully with either the spinning Blades or ray splasher... you can simply use the X-Buster until Vile has like a quarter or even one bar left of his HP, then bust out either special weapon. The condition is that you finish Vile off with either special weapon.

Here. A lot of the information on this video is incorrect. You should use X to kill Vile in his secret stage. You can use Vile's weakness UNTIL the final hit. You need to hit vile with another weapon to deal the final blow.

@@LonganoCantCant That's your death. If you actually went into experimentation, That would make the most horrid of Sigma fights ever. Wether you use the weakness or not on Bit, Byte, and Vile, gives you different fights. Switching off the weakness for the final hit gives you the easiest fight.

Not sure, unless you miss a few shots. But, dont worry. Just use Ray Splash or and other weapon to weaken him. Then just finish him off with the Saw Blades.

for the record you dont need kill vile whit the special attack whit the X buster is Fine! As long you switch to zero before kill the flying robot mosquito. is a automatic game scene program to zero give the z saber after defeat mosquito. if you dont switch to zero. you also can play whit it for the end :)

German Bueno Wrong. I killed Vile with just the x buster and got gold armor and switched to Zero. There is no mini boss in that room at all.

In the game menu that shows all your upgrades and and powers, hit the L or R button. I can't remember, It may even be the select button. Try one of those.

Okay first things first. I accidentally stumbled upon this video by looking up how to fight it and buy it with a ride armor since usually I didn't think that would be possible but when I was in the X Legacy Collection I had noticed that for the Hunter medals that I've already collected one of the achievements say i had to beat byte and bit "without ride armor" which is honestly not possible in the game so I don't know how to creators made that error on the collection, I wanted to see how they would say what you need to have Usually people get these things wrong much like how people say to get the Haoduken( idgaf how ya spell it😂) in the first game. So you honestly don't have to have any superchips thats a lie.and i don't think you need any upgrades either? maybe the arm im not sure.I will play tmrw and see. But you do not need to 100% get everything just to get the Z saber. Also you can use ray splasher as an alternative weakness.and you can use any weapon up until his last hot that has to be his weakness to kill him obv.

The gold chip allows you to Dash twice [even in the air], use a buster move that powers up as you take damage [it acts as the arm upgrade fully charged], Increases your defense, and most importantly allows you to gain health by standing still for awhile [it may take a long time of around ten or more seconds to start regaining health, but you can fill up your sub tanks this way] Why was it nerfed? And also from viewing the mosquitus battle, I realize why zero could never go into a boss room. I

i know this so this thing is meaningless(for me) but it is a good tutorial(for others) and there is a hint i need to share: if you need beam sabre simply beat vile with ray splasher collect every upgrade don't lose until you get The Gold Chip then rush to doopler's 2. stage miniboss before you enter there you have to change x to zero and kill that mini boss and bingo you have beam sabre(you can use a code to use only beam sabre and i have the code)

I didn't know that... It's time to replay it... again ^_^

The Z-Saber is so O.P.

Technically, that's not true, Volviert. In the US version, for some inexplicable reason, they used the PS1 version of MMX3/RMX3 instead of the SNES/SFC version of the game when they made the Mega Man X Collection (or whatever they call it elsewhere) for the PS2.

You don't have to use the saw blades on Vile's Ride Armor. Just Vile himself.

L or R in your Menu. Maybe select.

I prefer not to take the blade, just for the sake of ending. You don't have zero accompany you, plus Doppler has to sacrifice himself to stop sigma.

Actually,you do not need to switch to Zero at all...You just need to kill Vile with either the Spinning Blade or the Ray Splasher,then beat that Mini-boss with Zero,and that's it...You also do not need to use those 2 weapons all the way when fighting Vile...

you can use ray tigers ray splash ability to kill vile too fyi, it doesnt have to be the spinning blades....

just do steps for golden armor then do last step is to call zero to defeat that mid boss , no need to go for vile room using zero

@digimonextreme4 you are mistaking the ride armors as the chips. What you have is called the frog ride armor. In order to use it you need the Chimera Armor or the (N) chip thing located in the Blast Hornet stage. You need the Tornado fang to get it tho. (Rhino Boss power)

Well that's not entirely true, you can use the neon tiger's weapon and still kill Vile. Personally, I like fighting with Vile more than getting the Z saber. Too bad you can't have both :(
