The reason for that is because teeth samples get larger and larger. There was a 25cm long tooth found and they say that the meg which held them could have been up to 80ft.

Livyatan was a whale. Meaning they most likely lived in pods, and were intelligent creatures that knew the Meg's weak spots. When food was scarce, they would've probably hunted down lone Megalodons in pods just like dolphins have a go at great whites when food is scarce.

Well, obviously, this isn’t true completely leviathan has keen sense is way better than the megalodon. It uses echolocation so it could spot the megalodon from miles away. You could either retreat or go towards it, so it most likely notice a megalodon before the megalodon notices it so I think it would get the first hit.

Some scientists don't think that ancient megalodon appeared as a modern great white shark appearing more like a giant sand tiger shark, but some scientists agree that megalodons size was about 3 times the size as a modern full grown great white shark. Anyway, could you please maintain your focus on these 2 ancient marine warriors instead of dragging another topic of evolution? I don’t think the whale could beat Meg. Because Megaldon is quite smart and it would use its experiences and encounters against blue whale etc. to find the whale’s weaknesses. When the Whale tries to drain the Meg’s energy, Meg would have easily seen this move and would have just slowly taken its time to chase it, using its nose to it’s advantage, because whenever the whale went out of the shark’s sight, it would have used its nose and just increased its speed slightly. Then, when the whale least expected it it would dive underneath, speed up, and use its battering ram approach, then while the whale is stunned for a minute, Meg would injure its fins and tail then CHOMP its soft underbelly and END the fight. I will give you this, you could very right but obviously there is no way to know. But generally whales are smarter and can out-maneuver. Blue whales, maybe not. But an orca, most definitely. Livyatan wins: First, Livyatan is leagues above megalodon in the smarts category. This means megalodon, like many sharks, will always act on unstinct, no matter how much experience it has, it will just never use it. Livyatan on the other hand could form strategy from experience and target vital ooints of the shark. Livyatan has higher durability than megalodon; the whale has many inches of blubber, and a strong skeleton, megalodon has very soft sides and underbelly with a cartilage skeleton, if megalodon were to be rammed by Livyatan's large nose, it woukd likely cause majer internal damage. Both animals could do immense damage with their bite, hiwever, I think Livyatan would use strategy to put it to use, possibly sneaking up on Otodus. Size is hard, but most reliable estimates put them around the same size (weight) as even though megalodon could be longer, it weight would be similar due to shatks having a cartilage skeleton, making them lighter. For instance a 6 meter Carcharodon carcharias is 2,000 kg (2 tonnes) while a 6 meter Orcinus orca is more around 3600 kg (3.6 tonnes). Oxygen is not a problem, Livyatan could hold its breath for more than an hour, a fight would probably not last this long, however this is still a disadvantage fir livyatan. But megalodon could drown to, it woukd likely need to move foward for oxygen to flow over its gills like many sharks today including the mako shark. Otodus megalodon might have been prone from tonic immobility when turned upside down, leaving it in a sort of trance for a little while, maybe around 15 minutes, this could ve exploted by Livyatan, possibly alone but definetly in packs. In a real life situation, with the likely hood of Livyatan hunting in packs, megalodon loses.

Nothing, as far as the experts know could take on a Megalodon. Evidence shows that it wasn't a giant version of the Great white shark and was built completely different.
