Ġgantija is one of the most iconic ancient structures in Malta listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Local legends claim that the temple of Ggantija was built by… giants, hence its name, which translates to giantess. Erected in the Ggantija phase of the temple period (3600 BC to 3000 BC), i.e. at a time when metal tools and wheels were unknown, this megalithic structure has enchanted and amazed tourists visiting it for thousands of years. What does this Neolithic structure have to do with Atlantis and pre-flood bones? Who was Sansuna and what do we actually know about the temple built over a thousand years earlier than the Great Pyramid of Giza?
If you want to know the answers to these questions and take a really close look at the temple, as if you were visiting it yourself, please watch this episode!
Let’s go!

All this Malta serie is incredible Irena!! I really love it! The places, the script, the photography, the music, everything! You and your team have done an incredible work!! ♥ It's amazing the fact that we are so lucky to live in an era that have so many resources and technics in archeologycal terms to study this sites! But we must also be grateful with the adventurers, historians and protoarchaeologists of past centuries! They took the first steps in the study of ancient civilizations! I love those megalithic temples in Malta! And that hotel with the temple in the garden is simply excellent!!! Thank you for sharing your work!! ♥

Well done Irena, never stop doing this channel, it's the best 🙂 it seems like theres a lot of research and new discoveries to be made in Malta. Hopefully your channel can help bring the right people along. I dont know what to say about all this, it's way beyond my thinking but I dont think a giant woman did it all on her own with her baby on her back lol. I do believe there were different types of human all the way back though, I mean we have pygmy people today and we have some really tall people too, so maybe there were more gigantic people in the ancient past. I'm interested to know what you think. How do you think all this was built? Thankyou again for a wonderful documentary. You look so lovely in your dress 🙂 Keep Safe Peace Goddess 🧡🧡🧡

I am enjoying all your documentaries. You always present an accurate and knowledgeable documentary of each and every one you make. I was born and lived in Birzebbugia, Malta till I was 7 years old, I now live in Melbourne, Australia. My daughter her husband and I all went back there on a holiday four years ago. We saw that archeologists are now unearthing structures in the fields behind in the home we lived in. I hope that one day you might make a documentary on these findings. Irene thank you for all your hard work in bringing these documentaries to us. Take care and keep up all the wonderful documentaries. ❤

So sorry to hear about the passing of your friend Irena.☺️ Malta is amazing! Truly remarkable stone work! Interesting that it's considered a location for Atlantis. I don't think there's much mystery to the construction of these Neo-lithic sites. As I keep saying, just like the Great Pyramids of Egypt... Alien's did it! 😂😂. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. 🖖😁🤘🇨🇦🕊️❤️

I wonder what kind of structures once existed in the time period between Göbekli Tepe and GGantija, both were lucky to survive such an age while the rest of Neolithic Temples must have been destroyed through history. Tradition of megalithic architecture was spreaded by the First Farmer communities from the Near East, who definitely built many structrures during the Neolithic era which are already gone or yet to discover.

Wow, in order for the ancient constructors to make their monuments last, they had to be made of solid rock. Not only that, as the name said gigantic and precise and how do they did it? Theories there are many, but not convincing in a beautiful island. Thank you for the video. Your friend from Key West Ingrid Holm.

Probably the bones found belonged to species (much larger than today) that lived tens or even hundreds of thousands of years earlier than the construction of the temple, when the land looked completely different. 🧐
