The first two Megadeth albums are my favourite two pieces of music of the 20th century. He basically invented thrash metal without him Metallica wouldn’t have that fast thrash sound and he was involved in 2 or 3 of the big 4 bands he’s influenced the shit outta me idk bout u guys but I love thrash metal

+chuck jones Truely no one really knows him that well. Hes entitled to be a asshole when he feels like it when it comes to his band cause its HIS sound and HIS creation. People are always wanting to change this and that like he said and thats not chill! He invited you to play in his band. That doesn't mean you're not gonna be able to use some of your technique to the songs..but its not just going to be all you. Its always and will mainly be Dave!

keith stone I have watched a couple of Periscope videos of Dave's (Yes, he does/did Periscope) and he is really cool guy among friends, he can say one or two douchie things from time to time, but the matter of fact, he is not the dickhead the metal community make him look like.

Underintact134 wtf are you talking about.Megadeth was not first in the thrash metal it was Metallica.They made it big between so many big metal bands in that time becouse they were amazin.If they were not good they wouldnt make it big .In my oppion they beat all other metal bands in every single aspect.I dont want to say that others were bad but Megadeth made a big change in the metal community

Dave Mustaine is without a doubt a model for people like myself.. His music has more than enough motivational value. Dave keep going and keep saying it how it is. Take No Prisoners, Take No Shit!

Thats it...the music business should be..."MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC"...and as for the business side that should naturally fall in check if the music ifs good enough...ppl will always bag Dave but i think he is a musical riff-master and wrights great songs...he is truly a metal guitar superstar...i over the years became a much bigger Megadeth fan than Metallica although i still like Metallica a lot...when i was 13 mu older bro gave me...And justice for all...and...So far, So good, So what!...i played them both to death and ended up liking the Megadeth tape a bit more than the Metallica one...but aye each to theit own...just ROCK OUT HARD MOTHER-FUCKERS...and enjoy...\m/

The whole ice breaking distraction early in this interview reminded me of when Dave was on headbangers ball back in the 2000's when Jamey Jasta was hosting it, and a door alarm went off in that studio, and Dave stopped and said "are we gonna have this?" and Jamey just smiled and said "no" anyone else remember that episode?

Really looking forward to the new Megadeth record and tour 2016. Fatal Illusion is as slamming as anything off Endgame. Interesting new guitar work. Just saw Act of Defiance, Shawn Drover and Chris Brodericks new band. Killer. Best M&G I've ever been too. Very informal and friendly.

Yeah, people have taken advantage of technology. Polyphia, is a great band like Chon. But unlike Chon, their live performances aren't even subpar. They can't get most licks out with the fast paced music they make and the effects are non existent. It's very produced and though that's not exactly bad their production is what's made their recordings sound good.

Well, its readily apparent you haven't listened to all Megadeth's songs. They have stuff that isn't distorted. Also, have you ever tried to learn a Megadeth song? They are insane intricate. By far harder to learn than songs by the other bands in the Big Four. Most songs are written by Mustaine which is simply testament to his skill and genius.

Dude, Holy Wars, Poison Was The Cure, Head Crusher. Have you heard those songs? More importantly, have you tried to learn those songs? They have some of the weirdest riffs and tempo changes in any song I've learned. Anyone who has ever played guitar and listened to Megadeth would know how diffcult the material is. Not because of the speed, I can handle that, but because of the way the riff is played. That combined with the speed makes for a hellish, rewarding learning experience.

The band volumes used to much tricks. The singer can’t fucking sing at all. For those who shit on Dave for not being the best singer at least he can hold a tune and knows how to to use vibrato and hit the notes.

I don't like what I've heard. I don't like the new Guitarist boring. The edge of 13 is gone. Sounds like a safe sell a few more albums sound to me. We will see.
