Hey Ron, new the Mega trees.... looks like you only had 3 cables in the back of the 180 tree to keep it supported upright. Is that correct? I assume all the weight from the pickle strips keep it from falling backwards....

I have three guy wires to ensure it would only fall backwards. The pressure of the lights pull it forward. I also have wire the pulls down on the back of the topper to help keep the plate flat.

I had the 8' base ring professional done for me by a company in Los Angeles called Accubend. The topper is 18".

Mike, so sorry I missed this question. I have 36 strings of 100 nodes at 2-inch spacing.

Also Ron, why did you decide 2" spacing vs 1.5"?

Great question. I've used 2" spacing for eight years which has been great. This year, I may move to 1" spacing.

Where can I buy the topper I want to make a new tree this year, will have 24 strip 180° i’m looking something easy that I can hook the strip on as a tree and then for every other holiday I will have straight bars top & bottom with hooks to make it as a tall rectangle banner!

After copying and pasting the link directly into the URL box, I appears this is for Overkill Metal Toppers, which I believe may be found here: overkill-metal-toppers.ecwid.com/ I contacted Overkill Metals and inquired about this topper and this was their response: That's a J64x360 It was an early topper before the design of my T-hooks that fit the HD-roll from Boscoyo. www.ecwid.com/store/overkill-metal-toppers/ So, in July 2020 this topper model is T64x360-FL/J64x360-FL 18

hey Ron do you know if anyone has tried a electrical winch like from harbor freight. with hand held control. either mounted the same way or at the bottom with a pulley like a block and tackle working with the same concept. ps we are not getting any younger 😄

I would reach out to Walter. Monkhouse about that. He did have something like that. For me, I'll keep using my own power.

www.magicchristmas.org has the setup instructions for a single-stage assembly that would work for that size tree.
