This week has been busy for class 37’s in the local area and of course I’ve gone out for them!
Following on from my 2 37’s at droitwhich on Tuesday I noticed there was another scrap move due on Thursday (yesterday).
37800 was as expected the locomotive to haul the class 319’s to their doom.. i settled with my local station (stourbridge junction) for this as previous times it had gone full beans through and to no surprise it did. The driver being a legend on this one hanging back on the throttle on the approach to the station. The Headcode for this working was :
5Q79 Allerton Depot - newport docks (simms group)
The same day LSL’s recently acquired 37’s 37401 & 37402 were to head to the Severn Valley Railway to collect the ex NR class 73 (Minions)
The former DRS tractors are still full of work as they got held outside stourbridge behind a stopping unit, they gave it full whack after it had cleared. Unfortunately someone decided he’d stand in the way of my shot here so apologies for that. Headcode for this working was :
0Z57 - Crewe H.S - Kidderminster SVR
Following on from Thursdays mega 37 thrash it didn’t stop there as today Friday 12th January 401 & 402 were due back to take the 73’s to worksop under new ownership of HNRC (Harry Needle) it was a no brainer to get them rumbling up old hill bank creating a fine sight & sound!
Then a friend helped me out by catching them once more on the top of the bank at rowley regis.
Been eager to get this video out to you all as nobody can not appreciate a class 37 working hard up an incline!
