About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my KZread "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

Great video Aqua! I know I am only 14, but finding things has been one of my passions for around 8 years. All I can remember is talking about archaeology and Egyptology from a young age, and it’s been my dream. I always get out hunting for new finds to add to my collection whenever I have the chance, and even watching your videos I get that buzz of excitement when you get a good find. Thanks for being one of those KZreadrs who inspired me from a young age! ❤

Those bottles run from the 1880's to 1930's from what I can see, definitely has to be some good ones in there. I thought I saw a Hobbleskirt Coke bottle in there somewhere, definitely pick those up.... Some are worth a few hundred dollars depending on what city they're from

Loved the underwater action in this video! Had to come up for air a few times when I couldn't hold my breath any longer. Maybe next time, you could flip over some of the pieces of plates and pottery that are down there to see if they're plain or patterned. I was yelling, "Chigg, turn over that piece of plate!" whenever your hand was near a piece.

A lot of nice bottles that were damaged, but I know from a previous video you are able to repurpose some of them. I've never needed to have everything in my collections be perfect (neither am I), whether it's a chip, crack, dent, or otherwise. I just appreciate having examples of history and/or work that was done by hand. Thanks for another adventure.

My children were raised to take a garbage bag to our favorite spots on the river unfortunately we could take ten bags and not pick up half of the trash left by others these days seems to get worse every year. We will keep at it guess we need to bring more bags and get a bigger boat.

The ones that stands out is the glass milk container that’s pretty old I remember we used to get that turned in and get a new one when I was under 10 years old. It’s a lot of fun to go looking for bottles, but you’re right you should’ve had gloves on. But I do look forward to watching you pick through those bottles again sometime in the near future. Cool stuff Beau, in the UK we dont get anywhere near as many bottles in rivers and streams apart from in big cities. From what i gather, the embossed bottles ( especially rare pharmacies or shops), certainly hutches and rare town or straight sided Cokes/ Pepsi's or sodas etc are what people are after.

These are modern machine made bottles, there's loads of dumps on the sides of rivers where the bottles make there way into the water, lots of marshland as been reclaimed by Victorian dumping, in the mid 1970s we dug out on whole section of river that had been filled in so they could change the course of the river.

Those are mainly from the 1920s to 1930s and only certain ones are worth keeping. The milk bottles that are embossed with the name of the dairy are good. The color glass bottles with cork tops can be decent if cleaned. The screw-top bottles are usually the newest ones and not worth much. There were a lot of cork-top panel medicines, which are plentiful, but the ones that are embossed and/or colored glass are worth keeping. The beer bottles and sodas with embossing are worth keeping. There may be an older part of the dump, which would be worth looking for. Have fun!

When you find piles like this, it's often where people back before modern trash collection would save up all the non burnable/non compostable trash all year, then in winter would carry it out onto lake or river ice and just leave it. In Spring, ice melts, trash is gone without needing to dig a hole or pursue other labor intensive disposal methods... The bottom of a Lake with resorts going back to before USA civil war I used to dive in was like a time capsule. Whole crates of torpedo wine bottles & etc., just sitting there.

I say go back! It is fun to see what turns up, plus you may find something good someone missed. Interesting to watch with the camera underwater.

man what a dream for me, I have always wanted to either find bottles in an old bottle dump or in the creeks and ponds that have been around for ages, just don't know any places that are like that in Colorado. I'm dying from the urge to go bottle hunts like this, all I find are the ones people have already found and are selling in antique shops.
