I personally see this as Zero's theme music during battle. Why? Because it's literally stated later in the game that all 8 Bosses were intended as distractions, knowing that they'd be destroyed. They are no match for Zero. This might as well be Zero's own Boss theme.

@@balanceherosmt7170 I was thinking more about the gameplay and progression structure being similar to MMX games (8 levels doable in any order) rather than the structure MMZ 1-3 followed (2 and 3 did follow smth similar but not as much as MMZ4) but that's a good point too! Zero Seemed to be regaining his MMX self more in MMZ4.

My favorite MMZ Battle Theme.

I still love this Boss Theme. Probably put to best use during the Final Battle with Dr.WeiL. All is hear is him laughing at me and Shooting Daggers into the floor and teleporting around .

Yes he does in fact in Zero 2 it's a game mechanic different forms=different colored zero.

Playing this and the remastered verison at the same time (start both at 0:04) is pretty neat until around 1:40ish

You’d think a direct fight with weil would warrant a more unique theme than the game’s regular boss theme I mean even Craft got his own fight theme! (And for the record, I’m talking about the first phase, not the final one)
