This race was so awesome to watch. So glad I was there it was super tight right until the last second.

I kinda wish he would've just kept the Hadouken a secret until it was actually used. The "wow" factor for it is just amazing. It speaks for itself. And in honour of this run... HADOUKEN!

always good to see two awesome runners be great sports to one another. that's what video games is about!

Oh thanks for clearing that up. It's sad because the names of the bosses appear when you start the stages so you'd think-- I WATCHED THE RACE I SWEAR! :O

I love how there was background music as Caleb gave his speech of encouragement.

Not many things as depressing as watching people beat a game in 50 minutes that took me 10 years to have the patience to 100% without breaking controllers.

This is incredible. They were off by 9 seconds at the end of the intro stage, and that was the differential they ended at. So, it was over from the first 2 minutes

jason baker Well, I wouldn't say that it was over from the first 2 minutes. The shirtless guy was clearly slower than the helmet guy. The helmet guy made a big mistake with chameleon 2nd fight, but still was ahead. All these considerations are what made this race worthwhile to watch instead of just thinking that it was over from the first 2 minutes because you make the viewer believe the only mistake/bad luck happened at the intro stage.

I'd love to see more 100% races, guys.

It looks like a jock vs nerd match. I expected the nerd to win, didn't expect the Jock to hold the world record though. Really don't think he should have brought up the fact he holds the world record at the end though, very poor sportsmanship.

ahhahhahha what the fuck, 1. why the fuck would not taking steroids make you leaner? its the opposite. 2. if you took anabolics and androgens for a year and worked out, you'd be a lot fucking bigger than that.

Playing yhis game in the SNES back in the day I didn't know you could stuck the ice penguin in the wall, neither that you could grab stuff with the boomerang, so I thought the iceless trick was the way you were supposed to grab that heart.

Wait, do you collect the hadouken by "getting" the pellet 5 times, but do you need the rest of the items first? I'm confused.

Actually, you don't need to get it. You just have to see (i.e it has to appear on screen) a spot right next to the life item. That's one visit. You need to do this 5 times in total, keeping in mind that in the fifth visit you gotta have all bosses defeated, all sub-tanks, all heart tanks, all armor parts and full health by the time you get to the capsule. Be careful, if the capsule spawns and for whatever reason you make it go off screen, it will despawn and you'll have to do another visit. Cheers.

In a normal play through you'd use chameleon sting on Storm Eagle? Wait what? Thinking about it I don't see why you can't beat Chameleon first, as the only the Eagle is for is Mammoth's stage and the body armour is pretty useful. But then I simply remember my dilemma as a kid of having Chameleon, Kuwanger and Octopus sitting there as the insurmountable trio. Kuwanger and Octopus having a staring contest of as they're each other's weakness then Chameleon was just bein' that guy that wants you to beat the other two first.

Here's a standard route example. Penguin, Eagle, Mammoth, Kuwanger, Mandrill, Armadillo, Octopus, Chameleon. With that route, you would only have to use x buster on 3 bosses, the rest you could use weaknesses. Penguin and Eagle are very easy to x buster, Kuwanger may take some practice in casual play.
