You don't need to restart the level, you can jump in the pit and die, and get restarted halfway through the level to get through your 4 visits faster. There's a unique bat (easily spotted) towards the beginning of the level that drops a ton of 1-ups. You can stock up on lives before doing the death pit strategy.

Can also confirm on legacy collection on Steam. Only took 1st playthrough of the lvl to beat the boss. Came back 2nd time full power ups, jump in the pit 2 times and the capsule was there! So 3 total trips for me. But I am pretty sure you have to have full energy stored in all 4 sub tanks, and weapons energy needs to be full for all weapons, and full energy in your life bar. And I guess I can also confirm that 9 lives doesn't matter after jumping in the pit 2 times at the end of the lvl!

Anyone else notice all the little hints the game gives you that Armored Armadillos stage is special? It’s got the only bat from the original Megaman series at the start, there’s the energy pellet up there on the ledge, it’s arguably the best stage to fill up all your sub tanks, and the last one if you let the game play the demo from the main screen it’s a full powered Megaman playing through that same stage. The hints were all there just a matter of time. Also you don’t need to finish the level every time you can jump on the ledge jump off kill yourself and then start from the checkpoint

Slight correction: you can do the visits for the hado even without any armor pieces, boss weapons, etc. All the visits count. It's just for the actual capsule spawn that you need all bosses beaten, all items, and full health.

Actual correction: You don't need to run through the whole level every single time to trigger the capsule. You can just grab a bunch of lives from the 1up bat which is found at the beginning of the level and then if the capsule doesn't spawn, just jump straight into the pit located right next to the capsule's spawn point.

@@LuciferianLight88 That is not a correction to anything I said. Never once did I insinuate that you need to go through the level every single time. The flag is triggered by the camera showing the spot the capsule spawns to. And it doesn't matter if they're done in one go, or whatever.

Also make sure to not take any damage while doing this to secure the Hadouken. It is recommended to use Charged versions of R. Shield and C. Sting.

Another trick I discovered back in the good old days; If u skip the first sled, and walk through the first few bats, you will find a single classic megaman style bat. Keep killing it and run back and forth to respawn it and kill it again WITH A BASIC BLUE CHARGE SHOT. It will keep dropping Life Ups. It will help immensely to achieve your hadouken rekills.

One of the best secrets in Mega Man X

It’s much easier than completing the stage so many times. Just one run through without reaching game over. Just jump on the platform and die 2-3 times. Should be there the third or fourth attempt. Was there for me on the third :D

To get this you need to have all the heart tanks all of the armor upgrades and all four energy tanks you also have to hit the ledge with full health and jump off of it into the gorge beside it three times on the fourth time when you go back the capsule will be there. And not many people realize this but there is a heart tank in Mandarin's level I've been playing this game for almost 20 plus years and just now found that yesterday.

This is My third time unlocking it you just have to make sure you do the process 5 times and it’s fine if you leave the stage it’s kind of like a score system that counts your health pick up count rate in this stage

You can die 5 times in the stage and get it also you can set it up before you beat every boss by dying 4 time pryor to beating all the bosses.

i unfortunately don't get that health capsule in the end atop of that cliff despite having all the upgrades

Hey so when I was a kid the rumor was that you just had to have: All armor, weapons, heart tanks etc. All 4 sub tanks full energy storage Max 9 lives Then make it across the great jump with full life and the capsule will be there! Do you know if you just need to play armored armadillo's lvl 6 times at any point in time? I remember as a kid I would come here to stock up my sub tanks using the charged up Rolling Shield weapon to quickly kill bats. So maybe I got 6 clears in without counting?

I know this comment is 6 months ago but here are 2 reasons why it's not working 1. You got hadouken but you quit the game to eat lunch or something and cameback to play which leads to losing hadouken. (you cannot save hadouken once you quit the game you have to go through the whole thing again) 2. You must damaged or wasn't at full help (just like the guy said) If these 2 reasons didn't health then i don't know why it's not working. I'm playing the game on Megaman x collection from ps2.

You have to have full health, and you do the move combination like you do in Street Fighter II when you play Ryu or Ken to get it to work. The combination is when you press down, right or left, and the shoot button all at the same time.

You need to take the health pack. By the way this attack is pointless to get because once reload the save file the move goes away and you have to come back and do this cheat again

You can skip the boss weapons bro,trust me,i used the hadouken on all the bosses its a instant kill on the bosses, you can just do it with just armor armadillo. Zero has the shoryuken in mmx2. You have to have full health too,an it doesn't save. 10times same method just minus the 8 boss weapons. Both your method & mine works.i love megamanx & streetfighter ryu so i figured investigate it lol. Either thanks for showing them.

How did you do this when there are certain upgrades that literally require boss weapons like the heart tank on chill penguin and the sub tank on spark mandrill? I call BS that you beat every boss the first go around with hadouken. You should have hadouken on the rematch fights, but on the first go around I dont see how you can beat em all with hadouken unless you inputted a password for it.

I call BS too, for one you can't play as Zero in MMX2. He doesn't give you the Shoryuken, Dr. light still does.

Got every requirement but never work. Tried 5 hours and nothing.
